Asks the pupils to open their books. Reads

the title of the unit and has the pupils repeat
after her. Reads the instructions. Goes
through the pictures of the dialogue and sets
the scene.
Asks the pupils to listen to the dialogue and
say which picture the sentence was taken
from. Plays the recording.
Reads the instructions for exercise 2 and
explains the task. Asks the pupils to look at
the example and then complete the task in
their notebooks.
Plays the recording again with pauses for the
pupils to listen and repeat chorally. Checks
the pupils pronunciation and intonation.

read out the dialogue.

Plays the song Lets count to twenty! several

times. Asks the pupils to listen carefully and
try to learn the lyrics. Then they sing it
together.
Draws some charts on the board and asks the
pupils to copy them in their notebooks.
Writes some numbers from 1 to 20 in the
charts and explains the rules for playing the
bingo game.
Explains the pupils that their homework is
exercise 4 and explains them how to do it
and reads the example.
