WIP is not getting calculated

Hi Experts,
In our BOM structure, there are 2 levels, as per that we have two production orders. production orders
also confirmed
we want to check the WIP for the semi finished and finished product.
But we are unable get the WIP materials and its cost also not hitting WIP GL accounts(showing 0 value)
in KKAX.
Actual qty of finished product available in storage location 2.
Selection of Production order and period is correct as 07.2012.
Please help on this issue.

Hi,
WIP will not be updated to g/l accounts when you run the KKAX.. after settlement of production order
only wip will be updated to G/L accounts.
And also check the status of the production order if the status id Rel and PLDV then only system will
calculate the wip. If the status of the order is DLV or TECO then system wont calculate the wip.

Hi,
To determine WIP you need to do following settings. Please whether you have maintained the below
settings or not .
Pre requisites :
1.
Define Result Analysis Keys : OKG1
2.

Define Cost Elements for WIP Calculation : KA06

3.

Define Result Analysis Versions : OKG9

4.

Define Valuation Method (Actual Costs) : OKGC

5.

Define Line IDs

6.
7.

Define Assignment : OKGB

Define Update : OKGA

8.

Define Posting Rules for Settling Work in Process : OKG8

From the above mentioned steps, steps # 6 & 7 are very important. I hope after
doing all the above settings WIP will get calculated.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply,
As per you, we have cross checked each and every step, but we couldn't able trace out the problem.
We are not understanding how to identify the root cause.

Hi,
So considering all the settings for WIP in place & as mentioned by Mr. Ram did you check the
production order status ?? i.e. did you confirm the production order partially or fully ?? If production
order is partially settled then only WIP is calculated otherwise not. Please check & let us know.

The below statement is working fine :

Now we are able to get the WIP , Iam closing the Issue, points given for the correct and helpful answer.
