May 26, Thurs.- Jr. Youth Bible Study will meet at the church at 7 p.m.
May 29, Sun.-Plan to join the Community Worship Service at 9:30 a.m. in the
Adamstown Grove Park. (Bring lawn chairs). This worship service will include
Piercing Word Ministries presenting "Esther"- The mission of Piercing Word ministry
is to ignite passion for the Word of God in the heart of the church through scripture
performance. www.piercingword.org (We will not have a service here at church.)
June 4, Sat- Youth Group Mission Trip Fundraiser. Kid's Carnival Games and a Bean
Bag Tournament will start at 4pm. A Youth "servant" auction will start at 5:30 p.m.
Supper will be available to purchase throughout the evening. Please see the flyer in
your mailbox for further details.
June 12, Sun.- We will have our normal worship service at 9 a.m. with no Sunday
School that day. At 10:30 a.m. we are all invited and encouraged to join the Vacation
Bible School - Celebration Service with a picnic meal to follow, at Bowmansville
Mennonite Church. The Celebration Service will include Gehman Mennonite Church,
Red Run Mennonite Church, and Bowmansville Mennonite Church, and the parents of
the community children attending VBS. The DKers juggling duo will be presenting a
show at 12:30 p.m. for the finale.
-Please continue to be in prayer for the Associate Pastor search process. Bishop
Carl Sensenig will bring a qualification message on June 5. We will receive
nominations and counsel from the congregation from June 5 through June 26. Then
after June 26, the associate pastor search committee can begin the review of the
nominations received from the congregation. The associate pastor search committee
consists of the following persons:Todd Carvell, Diane Gehman, Phil Horning, Bob
Musser, Carolyn Sauder, Derek Sauder, Carl Sensenig

-Sunday School is looking for some new or lightly used flat screen TV's to be wall
mounted in some of the Sunday School rooms. Contact Wilbur Martin if you are
willing to donate or help with this project.
