GCSO LAW ENFORCEMENT SUMMARY

On Tuesday, May 17, 2016, Gulf County Sheriffs Office (GCSO) Deputy P. Baxley was
patrolling the Lands Landing area at approximately 4:00 am eastern time when he observed
a female and male sitting at a picnic table under the pavilion at Lands Landing Park. The
female stopped Deputy Baxley and asked if was legal to be at the park at such a late hour.
During the consensual encounter the male identified himself as Philip Warren Leach, but just
prior the female told Deputy Baxley his name was Indio Roldan. Deputy Baxley then
observed a glass smoking device in the area where the male was sitting. Through further
investigation the male confessed to his real name was Indio Lightfoot Roldan (34), and the
glass pipe was a meth pipe that belong to him. Deputy Baxley continued to search the
immediate area and discovered an eyeglass case that contained methamphetamine. Roldan
confessed to Deputy Baxley the methamphetamine was his. He was arrested and charged
with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Give False
Identification to a Law Enforcement Officer. Roldan was transported to the Gulf County
Detention Facility (GCDF).
On May 17, 2016, the GCSO received a complaint of a domestic disturbance in the 6000
block of Farm Road in the Five Acre Farm area. Deputy M. Peek responded and conducted
an investigation. The complainant reported her cohabitant Jonathan Curtis Gates (32)
committed battery against her during a domestic violence altercation. Deputy Peek observed
physical injuries to the complainant, and interviewed an eyewitness to the incident that
substantiated the allegations. Gates was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery. He
was transported to the GCDF.
On May 17, 2016, Investigators S. Ferrell and P. Williams arrested Michael D. Olson (58) in
the 300 block of Our Town Road in the northern part of Gulf County. Olson was wanted for
Violation of Probation out of Bay County. He was transported to the GCDF.
On May 17, 2016, the GCSO received a complaint of an individual violating a domestic
protection injunction in the 200 block of Marvin Pitts Road in the Honeyville area. Deputy
P. Baxley responded to the scene to investigate. The investigation revealed Allan Herbert

Nelson (55) violated a domestic protection injunction order. An arrest warrant has been
applied for charging Nelson with Violation of a Protection Injunction.
On Wednesday, May 18, 2016, the GCSO received a criminal mischief complaint in the area
of Jarrott Daniels Road in Overstreet. Deputy C. Smith responded to investigate the
complaint. The complainant reported heavy equipment left at a road construction site had
been tampered with and damaged. Deputy Smith continues to investigate.
On Thursday, May 19, 2016, the GCSO received a telephone call from a Navy Federal Credit
Union (NFCU) employee in Pensacola, Florida. The caller stated that while on the telephone
with a male customer who lives in the 200 block of Desoto Street in St. Joe Beach, they
overheard a female in the background state she was being held at gun point by her son.
NFCU audio recorded the call and provided it to the GCSO. Deputies and Investigators
immediately responded to the residence where contact was made with the Sandra Lee
Strobele (69), and her son, George Matthew Strobele (40). Through further investigation S.
Strobele and G. Strobele admitted to making the statement but stated they were joking.
The case resulted in the arrest of both subjects after a warrant was obtained. S. Strobele and
G. Strobele were arrested on May 23 for False Report of a Crime. They were transported to
the GCDF.
On May 19, 2016, Deputy C. Smith served a Violation of Probation arrest warrant on Charles
Edward Kinney (41) at the GCDF.
On Friday, May 20, 2016, Investigators S. Ferrell and P. Williams with assistance from
Deputy M. Manley arrested Joann Parker Wilder (58) in the 100 block of Burgess Creek
Road in the Dalkeith area for a Violation of Probation arrest warrant. She was transported to
the GCDF.
On May 20, 2016, Investigators S. Ferrell and P. Williams with assistance from Deputy M.
Manley conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of County Road 381 on a white Toyota
driven by Jonathan Curtis Gates (32). The deputies had prior knowledge of the existence of
an active Violation of Probation arrest warrant for Gates. He was arrested and transported to
the GCDF.
On Saturday, May 21, the GCSO received a call in the 7500 block of Americus Avenue on
St. Joe Beach. The caller stated a subject had kicked the door in on a shed and was sleeping
in it. Deputy M. Manley responded to the call. When he arrived he observed Billy J. Nichols
(42) sleeping on the floor. The door and door frame was damaged to the shed. At the
conclusion of the investigation Nichols was arrested for Burglary of a Structure. He was
transported to the GCDF.
On May 21, Deputy C. Harvey conducted a traffic stop in the area of Wewahitchka High
School on East River Road due to an equipment violation. When Deputy Harvey approached
the vehicle, he noticed the occupants attempting to hide something in the vehicle. Deputy B.
Smith and his partner K-9 Brix arrived to assist with the traffic stop. K-9 Brix conducted an
open air sniff around the vehicle and alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics. A search of the
vehicle yielded approximately 33 grams of marijuana, scales and other drug paraphernalia.
The investigations resulted in the arrest of Stephanie A. Brinkmeier (19) for Possession of

More Than Twenty Grams of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute,
and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Brinkmeier was transported to the GCDF.
On Sunday, May 22, the GCSO received a complaint of a residential burglary in the 100
block of White Blossom Trail on St. Joe Beach. Deputy M. Peek responded to investigate
the complaint. The complainant reported the theft of a 19 inch Emerson monitor/television
valued at $65. It was determined during the investigation that the residence was not secured.
