and every employee to work safely follow procedures, use protective equipments
promptly correct all unsafe acts and situations how ever small they may be.
Accident Prevention:One has abide all safety rules, regulation and instruction do not anything that can
cause
1. Injury to you and/ or other persons
2. Pollution of environment
3. Damage of property ( Plant, Equipment, Building projects)
Definitions
Accident
Any event, which has or could have caused injury or illness, such an event may
also involve damage, product loss or interruption of work.
General Guide Line for Employees
1.
2.
3.

Before starting a job be sure that you know how to do it safely and
efficiently, if in doubts consult your superiors. Always ask yourself what
can go wrong?
Abide all safety rules, regulations. In case of any doubt, consult your
immediate superior and if necessary safety engineer.
Report all unsafe condition and / or unsafe acts your superior immediately.
If with in you means, take necessary corrective action immediately.

Safety of the Personal

General Safety measures
1.
2.
3.
4.

Proper shoes or preferably safety shoes must be worn at all times.

Safety helmet must wear with the chain strap properly ties up while
entering the plant. A separate record should be maintained for blood groups
of person's employed.
Safety belt should be worn while working at height. It should be tied
property to a rigid anchoring point before the operator begins his job at the
heights.
Any person on the top of scaffolding must make sure at first that the
scaffolding is properly secured and safe. Any plants put on the scaffolding
2

5.
6.

for bridging the gap must be tied properly to the pipe either by G.I wire or a
good rope so that the plank will not tilt when the person comes to one end.
Any person working on plat forms at higher levels must make sure that his
place of work is safely enclosed by properly so that there is no accidental
slipping.
Oil and grease should not be split on ladder and plat forms. In case it is
dropped, sufficient precautions should be taken to whip thoroughly so that
the person walking will no slip.

Cautions and Remedies

1.
2.
3.
4.

Persons of responsible ranks should be appointed for safety patrolling and

for periodic checking of implantation of safety measure.
Site authorities should investigate any accident of serious nature and report
should be complied & immediate remedial action should be taken so that
such accident is not repeated again.
Safe working methods should be induced in to the juniors who are working
at the site.
Periodically (eg. Every six months) a safety week should be conducted so
that people working at sites are safety conscious while performing the job.

any in flammable materials.
Not to be done directly on concrete floor otherwise concrete may spall / fly
other by endangering the praetor.
working pressure depend on the metal thickness being cut and nozzle etc. it
this is not followed and if pressure in oxygen cylinder is low, then DA
might flow in oxygen cylinder add precaution, hence, should be to in
corporate the non return valve in end assembly of DA hose.
