DC GENERATOR

1. Observing the Nameplate of DC machine

Purpose :
The first sub experiment is observe the nameplate of DC machine itself. On the nameplate,
we can see the value rating of current and voltage on stator and rotor, Index Isolation,
Inggres Protection, power on rating value. And then we can analys the nameplate.
2. No load Operation of Separately-Excitated DC Generator
Purpose :
Getting the magnetization curve of Separate Excitation DC Generator
3. loaded Separately-Excitated DC Generator
Purpose :
Knowing the external magnetization curve on Separate Excitation DC generator
4. No Load Operation Of Shunt DC Generator
Purpose :
Understanding the process of generating voltage on Shunt DC generator
5. Loaded Shunt DC Generator
Purpose :
Getting the external magnetization curve of Shunt DC Generator

DC MOTOR

1. Observing the Nameplate of DC machine

Purpose :
To understand the spesification and rating of DC motor, such as value rating of current and
voltage on stator and rotor, Index Isolation, Inggres Protection, power on rating value. And
then we can analys the nameplate.
2. Speed and torque characteristics of separately-excited DC Motor
Purpose :
To obtain torque and speed characteristics of dc motors
To understand the effect of loading on the dc motor
3. Armature Control of separately-excited DC Motor
Purpose :
To obtain the relation of terminal voltage and Dc Motors speed
4. separately-excited DC Motor with field current control
Purpose :
To obtain the relation of flux and Dc Motors speed

Experiment 3
SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR

1. To observe synchronous machine nameplate

Purpose :
This experiment is to understand and know the specification and synchronous machine
rating by its nameplate.
From this nameplate we can know maximum voltage that can we get, on wye or delta
connection, maximum power, maximum speed, its isolation index, frequency and its
protection index.
2. No Load Operation of Synchronous Generator
Purpose :
to observe how stator voltage is produced on synchronous generator.
to get the characteristic of open circuit of synchronous generator.
3. loaded Synchronous generator
Purpose :
The purpose of this practice is to understand the charasteristic of loaded synchronous
generator

Induction Motor

1. Name-Plate 3-Phase Induction Motor

Purpose :
To know 3-phase induction motor ratings from the name-plate.
2. 3-Phase Induction Motor Y Configuration
Purpose :
To know the winding configuration of 3-phase induction motor.
To know the characteristics of 3-phase induction motor.
3. 3-Phase Induction Motor Delta Configuration
Purpose :
To know the winding configuration of 3-phase induction motor
To know the characteristics of 3-phase induction motor

1. Observe The Construction of Transformer

Purpose :
Observe the construction of transformer and their parts
2. No-Load Operation of Transformer
Purpose :
Observe voltage transform of tramsfomator
Get magnetization circuit of transformator
3. Short Circuit Test
Purpose :
to get equivalent impedance of Transformer
4. Loaded Transformer
Purpose :
to know the transformation of Transformers current
to know about load effect of Transformer
