Oregon
We
would
like
to
invite
the
electronic
submission
of
proposals
for
presentations,
posters,
and
workshops
for
the
7th
Conference
of
the
Association
for
Creativity
in
Counseling
(ACC),
held
this
year
in
beautiful
Portland,
Oregon.
The
Association
for
Creativity
in
Counseling
emphasizes
creative
processes
used
in
counseling
and
counselor
education,
so
preference
will
be
given
to
submissions
that
incorporate
experiential,
expressive,
or
creative
activities.
All
submissions
will
be
reviewed
by
the
national
ACC
Program
Review
Committee.
Description
of
Sessions
Presentation
of
experiential
activity/intervention:
Brief
overview
of
a
creative
activity
or
intervention
followed
by
a
participatory
demonstration
of
the
creative
activity
or
intervention.
The
focus
of
the
presentation
may
include
wellness
or
growth
activities
used
in
a
variety
of
settings
as
well
as
activities
or
interventions
used
in
clinical
settings.
One
hour
should
be
planned
for
this
format.
Workshop:
In‐depth
interactive
training
session
designed
to
share
knowledge,
research,
and/or
specific
skills
that
emphasize
creative,
diverse,
and
relational
approaches
to
counseling.
Ninety
minutes
will
be
given
for
workshops.
Poster
Session:
an
overview
of
creativity
research
and
practice
in
a
poster
format.

Presenters
will
be
notified
by
email
when
their
proposal
has
been
received.
If
you
do
not
receive
an
email
confirming
the
receipt
of
your
proposal
within
2
days
of
submission,
please
resubmit.
Accepted
proposals
will
be
notified
by
email
by
May
31,
2010.
All
presenters
will
be
required
to
register
for
the
conference.
Note
about
A/V
equipment:
There
will
be
an
additional
registration
cost
for
presenters
who
will
need
A/V
equipment
(e.g.,
overhead
projector,
digital
projector,
etc.).
Accepted
presenters
will
be
contacted
with
additional
information.
