MARKET WRAP
CHANA
Chana ended the week lower on estimates of higher output but demand in
spot limited the downside.
In NCDEX accredited warehouses Chana stocks rose by 212 tons to 42,036
tons as on May 13.
Production of Chana in 09-10 is likely to be 7.38 million tons v/s 7.05 million
tons(YoY).

TURMERIC
Turmeric futures traded with high volatility at the NCDEX counter with lower
trading volume last week.
Demand from exporters was low, the overall tight supply may help the yellow
spice to trade at higher levels in the next few sessions.

JEERA
Weak overseas demand is pressurizing jeera, prices may fall further in
absence of demand.
Resistance for Jeera can be seen at 12500 and support levels at 12000.
Jeera exports in February 2010 dropped 17 percent to 2,500 tonnes on year.

PEPPER
The session high was Rs 16940 and the counter is now trading at Rs 16835,
down Rs 0.20 or Rs 34 from last close.
Pepper futures dipped sharply following the emergence of selling at higher
levels.
Expect a downtrend, may be limited, as low carry forward stocks in Indian and
International markets may keep trend firm in the medium term.
