Faith In The Blood Of Jesus

One of the powers of Christ s redemptive work is the very blood that He shed for y
ou and I. It is by the blood of Jesus Christ that we are cleansed and freed from
Satan s power. With such tremendous power available to us in the blood of Christ
it is very important that we understand how to apply the blood of Jesus to our l
ives and experience all that His precious blood has made available.
In Romans 3:25 we are told to have faith in the blood of Jesus. Romans 3:25 Whom
God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare h
is righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearanc
e of God; To have faith in the blood of Jesus is simply to have faith in what tha
t blood has accomplished.
One accomplishment of the blood of Jesus is the complete removal of sin. Hebrew
s 9:22-24 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and
without shedding of blood there is no remission. Therefore it was necessary tha
t the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the
heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ has no
t entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but int
o heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; and Colossians 1:14
in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Through th
e blood of Jesus Christ, and through His blood alone, we have the remission or r
emoval of sin. Now what this means goes way deeper than just being forgiven. The
removal of sin means that you are not just forgiven but that the blood of Jesus
actually cleanses you from the damage and stains that sin leaves in your life.
Many times in life people exist in a wounded condition from the hurts and pains
of the past. The blood of Jesus is so powerful that it completely removes those
wounds and brings total restoration no matter what your previous condition had b
een. The devils goal is to keep you reminded of those hurts and failures but Jes
us came to destroy every work of the devil (see 1 John 3:8) and heal you from al
l wounds; spirit, soul, and body! Isaiah made mention of other rulers that had d
ominion over Gods people and how the Lord destroyed not only the rulers but even
the memory of them. Lets look at this verse in the amplified Bible: Isaiah 26:1
4 They [the former tyrant masters] are dead, they shall not live and reappear; th
ey are powerless ghosts, they shall not rise and come back. Therefore You have v
isited and made an end of them and caused every memory of them [every trace of t
heir supremacy] to perish. This is exactly what Jesus did for you through His blo
od to sin and all of its damaging effects. Smith Wigglesworth once said There is
nothing in me that the Blood can t cleanse. That just means that no matter what the
devil may say, there is no damage, wound, or condition that the blood of Jesus
can t reach in your life and completely destroy and bring an end to, not only kee
ping it from re-appearing but wiping out the very power of their memory.
Another benefit of the blood of Christ is the bold access it gives us to the ver
y presence of God the Father. Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness
to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, . The blood of Jesus not only gives us
access into the presence of God but allows us to have a bold confident entrance
into His presence. One definition of the word bold is freedom of speech . Because
of the blood of Christ we can come confidently into God s presence and have total
freedom of speech with the One who has no beginning. Now the word bold does not me
an arrogant or prideful. It simply means we can fellowship with our Father God w
ith complete confidence of His acceptance of us. Look at how the Amplified Bible
reads: Hebrews 10 :19 Therefore, brethren, since we have full freedom and confid
ence to enter into the [Holy of] Holies [by the power and virtue] in the blood o
f Jesus, . The blood of Jesus gives us full freedom and confidence to come before
our wonderful Father. Think of how sad it is that the enemy and even religion ha
s taught so many that we are just un-worthy and should approach God as a beggar

not expecting anything at all. No thank God, it is the Fathers good pleasure and
joy to wash you in the blood of Christ and bring you into His presence to have
fellowship with Him openly and freely!
Now let s remember that our starting text in Romans three said that we are to have
faith in the blood of Jesus. With all of these wonderful benefits that the bloo
d of Jesus has produced, they will go un-experienced and our lives will be un-af
fected without faith in His blood. Now faith works the same in every area of lif
e; whether it is salvation, healing, prosperity, or anything else, faith works t
he same. Two primary ingredients to faith are believing and speaking. In Mark 11
:22 the literal meaning of what Jesus said was to Have the God kind of faith. then
in verse 23 He explained what that was. Mark 11:23 For assuredly, I say to you,
whoever says to this mountain, Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not d
oubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will
have whatever he says. Faith works by believing in your heart and speaking with y
our mouth. The powerful affects that the blood of Jesus can have on your life wi
ll go un-experienced if you do not apply them to your life. Every day your shoul
d take time to believe and speak over your life what the blood of Jesus has done
. To believe simply look away from all that would contradict the Bible and the t
houghts the enemy may bring against your mind and within yourself lay hold of wh
at the Bibles says. Believe that no matter what it looks like, the word of God i
s true and has ultimate supremacy. Then from that place, lift your voice and beg
in to declare what mighty things the blood of Jesus has done in and for you. Spe
ak of how it broke and destroyed Satan s power over your spirit, soul, body, famil
y, future, and so on. Declare how it cleansed of the past and gave you the abili
ty to walk confidently into the very presence of our Holy Father God. Speak of h
ow it freed you from following the plans of the enemy for your life and it reach
es so deep into your being to remove all that darken your path. The blood of Jes
us is speaking today (see Hebrews 12:24) about your complete deliverance and sal
vation. You should be speaking of it too!
Remember, there is not one thing in you that His blood can t cleanse!
