1. Scope and Objectives of the Course


The objective of the laboratory is learning. The experiments are designed to

illustrate various basic concepts of electronic devices and circuits.


To provide understanding and skill on the nature of electronic circuits prepared

with diode & transistors.


To provide a understanding to clipping, clamping circuits.

functional testing, plot of forward bias characteristics of Si and Ge
diodes, calculation of forward static and dynamic resistance of the

diode.
Study and Analysis of zener diode Specification sheet, plot of V-I
characteristics under reverse-biased condition, and calculation of

dynamic resistance.
Battery charger with reverse polarity protection Design and
Realization of circuit, measurement of input and output voltages, and

verification of protection feature.

The End Term examination for practical courses is held at the end of the term and
includes conduct of experiment and an oral examination (viva voce).The mandatory
