CONCLUSION

As a concluding remark, it is clearly shows that North Korea is obsessed in

upgrading their nuclear program. North Korea was successful in achieving the four categories
of the potential to produce nuclear weapons which are nil weapon potential country, modest
weapon potential, high weapon potential country and the potential for serial weapon
production country.
Why does North Korea pursue nuclear weapons programs? Basically, there are many reasons
behind North Korean nuclear weapons programs. However, we have only discussed three
major causes of nuclear weapon in North Korea which are in terms of inter- Korean rivalry,
security guarantee, and also economic difficulties. Furthermore, the nuclear program also
helps to promote regime stability by giving the North Korean people a sense of pride in their
Strong and Prosperous Nation.
The nuclear proliferation in North Korea is based on realism
perspective. Therefore, it focused with the pessimistic view of human
nature. For example, North Koreas leaders are very aggressive and selfish
to own the nuclear weapon like United State. Besides that, states are
rational actors which concern that the leader in North Korea makes a full
decision in nuclear program to attain their national interest. Next, in
realism it emphasize with the security dilemma which the North Korea still
expand their nuclear program to ensure their security in order to threaten
and overpower the others states security. Other than that, Realism
believed in balance of power in order to maintain it to have the equal of
power with other states such as United States in order to prevent war and

other example like when India and Pakistan pursue a nuclear weapon in
order to maintain the balance of power.
Basically, what happen are the all states that have nuclear weapon
likes USA, North Korea, India they are not trust and scared each other. For
instance, North Korea did not give up in nuclear weapon because they
afraid USA will attack them and it same with India.
Islam strongly stressed that nuclear weapon are not allowed to be
use because according to Innamullah Khan, nuclear is a weapon that can cause a big
destruction to the targeted land and people in which it not only affects the targeted area but
also the area of nearby targeted area. So, all of us strongly agreed that that Islam should not
permit the usage of nuclear in war because it is very dangerous and can cause mass
destruction to the involved area even though the only thing that can ensure Islam to win in
the war is by using the nuclear in war. So, we believe that there must be another mechanism
and we proposed the using of third party likes International Court of Justice (ICJ),
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and United Nation (UN). For instance, in Seoul
Nuclear Security Summit 2012, Malaysia has proposed the establishment of United Nation
Convention on nuclear security in order to promote and to ensure universal nuclear security.
Other than that, other countries also can make Malaysia as a best example because according
to Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Malaysia will study every aspect of nuclear energy before
deciding and always be transparent. Malaysia has brought in international consultants and the
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
