I have been working for JWW Solutions since July 2007, but 98% of that time I have been
sub-contracting to other big companies as Data Techniques, BT, Red Stone, Octopus cabling,
IQ comms, Data Sharp and etc.
My duties includes: running data cables (CAT5e, CAT6, Voice and Fibre), terminating,
testing. Installation of Data Cabinets/Racks, frames, trunky, over head containment and
baskets. Installation and configuration of CCTV systems and Intruder alarms. I have been
working for the last 18 months mostly in Abbey National Data centre in Milton Keynes.
I do all terminations and all containment in this Data Centre on my own.

responsibilities and duties included the installation and configuration of servers (Red
Hat - Enterprise) for new customers and to oversee server operations of previous
customers. I also answered any questions and provided answers for our customers in
regards to the servers and services that have been previously installed. This included
the addition of new domains in Apache, ProFtp, SendMail, DNS and MySql or
installation of a proxy server (Squid) as well as other software problems. Personally, I
installed monitoring systems on the servers and respected services such as Nagios,
which provided us with instant information regarding any possible or recurring
problems through SMS or e-mail. I also installed a second DNS (slave) since it was
only a single master, but for a more secure and beneficial job, at least two DNS
servers are needed. We also had an extensive ticket system through which we kept in
touch with our customers. I supported 30 dedicated servers.
