Cultural Tour in Svaneti

Svaneti is a historic province in Georgia, in the northwestern part of the country.

Svaneti is one of the world's most magical regions of Georgia. Snowy dramatic peaks rise
above lush and flower filled valley. Located in the heart of Svaneti, Mestia is the main town
and cultural heart of the Georgian people.

Zugdidi (Samegrelo Region), one of the historic provinces in the western part of Georgia.
Samegrelo region was formerly known as Odishi. Samegrelo is bordered by the secessionist
region of Abkhazia to the north-west, Svaneti to the north, Imereti to the east, Guria to the
south and the Black Sea to the west.

Day 1: Arrival to Tbilisi Airport, where you will be met by the representatives of INE-tour
department, transfer to the hotel, overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2: Travel from Tbilisi - Mestia. Visit the historical villages of Latali and Lenjeri (it
takes about fifteen minutes to drive from Mestia to Latali by a motor road), visit of
Matskhvari Church (The church was built in XI-XII centuries, while its bell tower
constructed on four pillars belongs to XVII - XVIII centuries), overnight in Mestia.

Day 3: Mestia - Ushguli (the highest living place in Europe (2200m). It is located at the feet
of Shkhara, one of the higher Caucasian summits), overnight in Ushguli.

Day 4: Ushguli - Mestia. Visiting Ushguli village (it contains buildings that are part of the
UNESCO Heritage site of Upper Svaneti) and the ethnographic museum of Mestia (with the
most unique collections of the ancient Christian era), overnight in Ushguli.

Day 5: Travel from Mestia - Tbilisi. Visiting Palace of the Dadiani in Zugdidi (one of the
regional centres of Georgia), tasting traditional Megrelian dishes, farewell dinner in Tbilisi,
overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 6: Check-out the hotel, departure from Tbilisi airport.

Note: Duration of the tour will be fit to your arrival and departure Flights. You can
arrive in Tbilisi or Batumi airports. Arrival place should be negotiated with us as INE-
tour department takes responsibility to meet you at the airport. You have alternative
choice: you can arrive in Georgia via Turkey! Our representatives can meet you at the
border of Turkey- right at the custom offices in Sarpi.

Price includes: Transfer from and to Batumi (or Tbilisi) Airport, Inland transportation,
Interpreter, Tour guide, Georgian wine and beer, Hotel accommodation (In the cities), Guest
house accommodation (in the villages), 3 times meal a day, Souvenir, Museums entrance
fees.

Price does not include: Flight expense, Travel insurance.
