To
whom
it
may
concern,
Out
of
the
interest
of
transparency
and
accountability,
we
are
requesting
from
you
through
the
Freedom
of
Information
Act
all
reports,
case
or
docket
numbers
about
the
alleged
threats
on
Mt.
Vernon
Mayor
Richard
Thomas
family.
As
you
are
aware,
as
a
national
law
enforcement
organization,
we
take
threats
to
elected
officials
and
their
families
seriously.
We
are
also
requesting
all
report,
case
or
docket
numbers
filed
with
the
County
Police,
State
Police,
FBI,
and
Homeland
Security.
In
our
opinion,
if
the
threat
was
serious
enough
for
MVPD
to
add
extra
security
then
reports
should
have
been
generated
that
a
possible
threat
was
to
a
major
New
York
Mayor's
family
to
all
other
law
enforcement
agencies.
We
will
also
remind
you
the
credibility
of
the
Thomas
Administration
and
the
MVPD
is
in
question
from
the
false
report
issued
on
the
recent
incident
of
your
Deputy
Police
Commissioner
Joseph
Spiezio
making
homophobic
statements
and
threatening
to
do
bodily
harm
to
an
elected
official.
Out
of
respect
for
the
privacy
of
the
Mayor's
family,
we
will
accept
redacted
reports
with
personal
information
omitted.
We
will
be
forwarding
all
our
findings
to
county,
state
and
federal
authorities.
Thank
you
for
your
time
in
this
matter.
