Foundation Engineering I introduces site investigation, design and construction of

deep foundation such as pile foundations and related techniques.
At the end of the module student will be able to:
LO1. Planning and execution of site investigation for engineering projects, and
interpretation of site investigation result..
LO2. Selection of foundations, and understand the different construction techniques
used in the construction of deep foundations and their relative merits.
LO3. Design of deep foundation according to the Euro Code requirements.
LO4. Planning and execution of construction and testing processes of pile
foundations.
