Animal and Human Communication

There are different types of communication which are: animal and human , which
are more similar to each other than different.

Animal Communication .
Animal communication is used by animals to communicate, to defend themselves
from predators, to reproduce (get couple , mate ) , mark territory , to identify , to
know your emotional state , warning, etc.
Animal communication is divided between chemistry, kinetics and prosmica ,
auditory and electrical ; each has an important role :
Chemistry : It is when the animals secrete chemicals ; as when they mark their
territory ( like dogs with their urine ) , sexual reproduction (when looking for a
partner spreading their pheromones ) to deter predators from them ( skunks , it
releases a stinking substance that annoys and alienates other animals)

Kinesics and Proxemics : This is when animals try to communicate through

movement , space (distance ) having an animal with another ; most times is to
express feelings and emotions to communicate. For example , when an animal
intended or want to attack its prey , he puts a position to achieve it; when animals
also let them know they need enough space to feel comfortable (your personal
space) , as in the case of a herd .

Hearing : Commonly
barking , meowing of a
chirping birds , among
use their vocal organs to
types of bird that can
engines , helicopters , etc. Just to attract a mate .

we see to see a dog

cat , a chicken clucking ,
others , that's why they
communicate. There
imitate car alarms ,

Electric : This type of communication is less related to the human being , and not
constantly used as animals . It is used by animals that release electric or
electromagnetic pulses , for example hammerhead sharks electromagnetic pulses
used to identify prey , even when the sand and stones.

Human Communication
Human Communication constantly use though sometimes we do not realize ,
because we do not so important. We use it to talk to someone else , to express our
feelings and emotions to others , among others.
There are two types of human communication , which are the verbal and
nonverbal, each of which consists of :

Verbal: Refers to the use of the language we use to speak, write and hand
signals. But consider the type of code you are using to speak and write as there is
a variety of cultures that use different language and writing, and if they use different
code both the sender and the receiver may neither transmit nor receive the
message . The code of hand signals is universal.

Nonverbal : When we talk to someone , only transmit a small part of the

information , the other part consists movements , signals and images that we to

interpret what we mean . The type of nonverbal communication may vary in

different cultures and can be confused with another meaning.
Among the non-verbal communication systems we are:

Body language . Our gestures , movements , tone of voice , our clothes and even
our body odor also part of the messages when we communicate with others.

The iconic language . Morse code , universal codes (sirens, Morse , Braille, sign
language ) , semi-universal codes ( the kiss, signs of mourning or bereavement ),
private codes or secrets ( signals : in it many forms of nonverbal communication
are included sports ) arbitrators .

The proxemic language: the way in which we appropriate the physical space and
use it to communicate, which in turn is divided as follows:
a) intimate distance. It is established with people much confidence as your partner
(boyfriend or girlfriend) and family. They are usually very close, closer than 50cm.
b) personal distance. It is marked with friends and / or classmates or work, and any
other social event. Usually less close, at a distance of 50cm but less than 75cm.
c) Distance social.Es we maintain with strangers, people who do not know well and
we do not like. Often span of one to two meters and means.
d) Distance public. It is what we set in front of a group of people, whether at a
conference, a speech, the audience of a play or some participation in the assembly
and / or a task, for example: this video of the interpretation of a story without verbal
language. Usually greater than 2 and a half meters.
