RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

• Youth Ministry Leader, Tampa Bay Area (8 plus years)- Volunteered at

several churches within Seffner and Brandon, FL as a Youth Ministry Leader.
Worked with and adapted to various lesson plans that were non-
denominational. Provided leadership, instruction, guidance, supervision and
most of all room for as much self expression as possible in regard to studying
bible lessons. Assisted the youth in applying lessons learned to their own
daily activities. Helped the children to further define their developing value
system as a source of guidance in their decision making process. Encouraged
the children to develop their own responses to questions instead of
supporting a type of “groupthink”. Served as a role model and a supportive
adult who can direct the children to their parents or other experts for the life
issues that they are facing daily.

mentor and role model for boys ages 8-to 17 years of age. Created age
appropriate lesson plans and instructed the boys to complete simple to
complex tasks in order to earn their merit badges. Incorporated different
training modalities drawing from the various learning styles-kinesthetic,
auditory, visual and written. Led numerous “hands on” activities that
encouraged and support positive group interaction. Provided consistent
guidance and structure to support the learning process. Re-directed the boy
scouts who were off-task to ensure that their behavior did not become a
distraction to the rest of the troupe. Led a group project that included
building a playground that continues to be functional and enjoyed by children
today.
