Just take a moment and contemplate what the Lord is saying here in Isaiah 51:1-2.
He says, “Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, You who seek the Lord:
Look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you
were dug. Look to Abraham your father, And to Sarah who bore you; For I called him
The infamous Lord of all creation is noting here that first of all, he took us out of
the pit from where we resided commonly known as the world and all its attributes. Then
he brought us out and called us Abraham’s children, a man of great faith and stature. It
then goes on to say that because Abraham was blessed we also should be blessed but I
believe he is saying something much deeper. You see, we are blessed so we therefore
can become the one blessing. Jesus wants us to use the resources that he has graced us
with to go and grace others with His goodness. Sometimes in the world the only way you
can speak the lost is through helping them with practical, everyday needs. The only way
you can show the goodness of God is to do something really special for them or just take
them somewhere they could not otherwise have gone. Here is given a mandate that we as
children of God have freely received the grace and goodness of God to the degree that we
can give out. We must not hold back when the need arises. God will challenge our
hearts in new ways to give and spread the good news in various and creative ways.
I believe that increase is coming for many in the Kingdom of Heaven. Increase
specifically designed to be given and allotted to those that can carry the responsibility of
being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. Those those are willing to go the distance with
people and their problems. Those that are not selfish by any means and have learned
through many years of suffering what it feels like to have a need and no one there to
answer it but Christ. Those who are willing and able to give and spend the time and take
the effort to make an impact on this generation. A generation that has not truly known
the goodness of the Lord or the faithfulness of his people to be obedient and give
cheerfully. There is a mandate coming that will call forth the Abrahams, Sarah’s,
Joshua’s and Caleb’s to come forth and receive the orders to go and bless those that need
blessing and also to be ones to pull those up from the pit where they are captive.
I believe that there are many in body of Christ that are in bondage of one type or
another. I believe that the fullness of time is now for the prophecies over our lives to
become reality. I believe that the wealth of the wicked will begin to be funneled into the
righteous hands and therefore used for advancing the kingdom. A mandate given many
years ago but now is the time for the maturation of it. It is the fullness of time. Time is
short and therefore the mandate must be fulfilled in a mighty way. The time for
obedience is now for every blessed believer to rise up and show forth the goodness of our
Lord. Bring those forth that have been captive and get in line with the other soldiers that
Isaiah 51:5 emphasizes that “My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation
is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations, The islands will look to me
and wait in hope for my arm.” His salvation is on the way. He is coming to bring justice
to the nations and many right now are waiting for his arm to war for us.
He goes one step further though and it is remarkable. Isaiah 51:6 says, Lift up
your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke,
the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation
Once again in Isaiah 51:14 it promises, “The cowering prisoners will soon be set
free; they will not die in their dungeon, nor will they lack bread.” I think there is special
emphasizes on the fact that they will be set free and even in their captivity they will not
lack bread. The cowering prisoner speaks also of many Christians who are in man-made
prisons. Prisons created by religious and faulty foundations within the church itself. But
the main mandate here is the ones that are still in captivity in the world and its depravity.
Those still in darkness and still needing a Savoir, those still looking for something or
someone that fill that void in their heart and soul. Those that need to know that God does
exist and loves them very much. They are the ones that need this scripture and
manifestation of it in their lives now before much more destruction occurs in their lives.
Once again I return to the point here and that is our God is bigger than any man
and can move the entire heaven and earth at one slight of his hand. He can just speak a
word and create a new heaven and earth therefore we are not fear or dread anything that
man thinks he can do to us. Our creator or maker is in charge. Verses 12-13 says it this
way, “I, even I, am he who comforts you, Who are you that fear mortal men, the sons of
men, who are but grass, that you forget the Lord your Maker, who stretched out the
heavens and laid the foundations of the earth, that you live in constant terror every day
because of the wrath of the oppressor, who is bent on destruction? For where is the wrath
of the oppressor?” Verse 15 speaks this, “For I am the Lord your God, who churns up the
present problems, salvation from future problems but also a promise given that we are
going to be saved from now throughout eternity. This brought such a large amount of
peace and contentment knowing that God our Father is going to be forever saving us and
keeping us. Even in eternity when this earth and heaven no longer exists we will still be
within the saving grace of God. Praise the Mighty, Almighty Savior.
