5 buckets of balls, bats, gloves, helmets, facemasks, screens,
nets, tees, whiffle balls, light stick
Players are to wear helmets at all times when doing
hitting stations
Players are to wear their face masks whenever throwing
or fielding
Nets are checked or holes or malfunctions prior to
practice
Field is scanned for holes or debris prior to practice
Cleats are to be worn at all times
All stations and stages of practice will be supervised
Players are to run around activities, not through them
Gatorade and water will be provided for practice
4 pole runs
Foul line drills: Butt kicks, high knees, lunges, chicken
walk, runner stretch, grapevine, open gate closed gate,
slides, Spiderman twists, fast feet
Static stretches: arm crosses, overhead triceps, arm
circles, butterfly, scorpion, leg swings, quad stretch, back
scratchers, sleeper stretch, t stretch
Warmup throws with a partner

Hitting Stations

Everyone takes their position and fields grounders and


fly balls. Situations will be added (and possibly runners)
when everyone seems warmed up and is making good
plays.
Cues: T L Step Throw Follow Through when throwing,
hitting cut offs right at their head, fielding quickly
Feedback: Joselyn way to hit your cut off that was
perfect, Emma way to follow through keep that good
form up, Emily make sure you keep your hand by your
ear I know its hard but you can do it, Lauren way to
keep that ball in front of you, Kierra nice job keeping
your head down that was awesome
We will practice rundowns between first and second,
second and third, and third and home
Cues: Keep arm at ear level, never run them towards the
next base, throw to glove-hand side,
COMMUNICATION IS KEY, outfield for backups
Feedback: Avery make sure you arent moving your arm
when you fake, Leah great job pushes that runner back to
her base, Hannah awesome job throwing to the glove
hand side that was perfect, Emily thank you for backing
up in the outfield that is exactly what you are supposed
to do
Water Break & Reviewing Fielding Concepts & Rundowns
Cage- players will be pitched to & will work on hitting
different pitches (especially the inside pitch)
Tee work- players will hit off the tee practicing hitting
the inside pitch
Soft toss- players will soft toss to each other and will
work on hitting inside and outside pitches
Bunting- players will throw to each other and work on
bunting to first and third base
Whiffle balls and light bat- players will throw to each
other and work on having quick hands
Conditioning- players will be doing sprints on the foul
line
Cues: Step, Lead elbow comes, contact, extension,
follow through, not dropping or extending arms out too
quick, make sure hips dont fly out, keep bat head high
when bunting and do not poke at the ball
Feedback: Ashlyn make sure you dont drop your bat
head when you bunt, Kierra that is much better keeping

Bucket game- players will be in teams competing to see
who can hit the bucket the most, if they miss they run to
a pole and back
Base running situations rounding each base, diving and
sliding
Jog one lap around the field walk one for cool down,
partner stretching arms and legs
Address cues of hitting inside pitches
Cues of rundowns
Next practice/tournament
