YOGAS IN DREKKANA CHART:
When Drekkana chart can be independently analyzed like a Natal Chart, one can therefore see some
standard yogas in Drekkana as under:
1. The Lagna Rasi corresponds to Drekkana Rasi and two or more planets are vargotham in
Drekkana chart.
2. One or more planets are exalted, in Mooltrikona or in own house or in kendras.
3. Several planets are exalted and well placed, house wise, they make the native a king.
4. A debilitated Drekkana Lord normally leads to lack of success and wordly comforts.
5. The drekkana lord associated with or aspected by any neecha planet or a malefic planet or
hemmed between malefic, lack of siblings will be there.
6. A benefic durdhura of Moon will give good results while a malefic durdhura will give malefic
and poor results.
7. Also in view of the above yogas of drekkana following things can also be observed. (i) see rise in
life, because drekkana is the expansion of the 3 rd house and 3rd is karmaphal through self efforts.
(ii) see rise of siblings, (iii) see the rise of studies, players (games/sports).
RAJA YOGAS ARE FORMED BY PAC CONNECTION OF KENDRA AND TRIKONA LORDS,
THE SAME APPLIES TO DREKKANA ALSO.
1. A planet aspects or occupy D-1 Lagna, D-9 Lagna and D-3 Lagna generated a powerful Raja
yoga.

A planet placed in Own House, exaltation house, in Lagna or in 7 th House of D-1, D-9 and D-3
simultaneously leads to powerful Raja Yoga.
3. When D-1 Lagna and D-3 Lagna are same and many planets falls in same Sign in D-3 as they are
in D-1, promotes Raja Yoga.
4. A strong Moon placed in Cancer Drekkana associated with a strong benefic generates Raja Yoga.
5. The PAC connection of 3rd Lord in D-1, 3rd Lord in D-9, 3rd Lord in D-3 give rise to powerful
Raja yoga, which will manifest to rise of a person through self efforts and outstanding siblings.
STRENGTH OF RAJA YOGAS: WHEN A RAJAYOGA PRODUCES ITS BEST RESULTS:
1. Best results: LL and at least 3 or more planets are in movable signs in 1 st Drekkana. (Uttam)

THE NAVAMSHA D-9 IS THE 2ND MOST IMPORTANT CHART, IS INNERSELF OF
INDIVIDUAL AND INDICATES ACHIEVABLE HIEGHTS OF THE PERSON.
THE DREKKANA D-3 INDICATES QUANTITY AND QUALITY OF EFFORTS OF A
INDIVIDUAL.
Out of a total Vimshopaka bala of 20 points, Maharshi Parasara has assigned 6 points to D-1, 5
points to D-9 and 4 points to D-3 totaling 15 points. In shadvarga analysis of an individual study
of these 3 charts should reveal 75% of an individual.
If the 3rd, 7th and 11th house of D-1 and D-3 are associated, the person is interested in Drama, music, dance
etc.
NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF DREKKANA ON PROFESSION
1. Jupiter in 1st Drekkana of Capricorn gives problems in profession. The person can be suspended
or terminated from service due to some accusations.
2. Debilitated Mars in Sarpa Drekkana in 3rd or 7th or 11th house may give imprisonment.
3. 6th house Moon in Pisces in Sarp Drekkana, the person can be punished by Government.
4. 12th Lord Sun if placed in Aries in 8th house, it gives Jail and also relieves from Jail.
5. If Sun in Libra in 9th House and Saturn in 12th House (Capricorn) in Ayudh Drekkana the person
may be accused of keeping fire arms.
6. If debilitated Saturn in 10th with Mars, it gives high political status but may be punished due to
conspiracy by enemies.
7. Venus exalted in 10th House, in Sarp Drekkana, gives economic punishment or punishment by the
government.
8. Venus in 12th in Cancer in Sarp Drekkana may give punishment due to female officer or may be
removed from the post.

SOME IMPORTANT COMBINATIONS

Rahu in the 3rd or 11th House generally the native will be the eldest or youngest among the
siblings on their own sex (male or female)
2. The placement of 11th lord in the 3rd house, or the 3rd lord in the 11th house also does not give
middle person generally.
3. A double affliction to the 11th house or the 3rd house or their lords is a strong negative factor for
promise of siblings.
4. If Mars (karaka for younger co-borns) or Jupiter (karaka for elder co-borns) are aspecting the 3 rd
Lord or 3rd House---------there is a chance of birth of a sibling.

Analyse 3rd Lord and 3rd House.

5th Lord and 5th House as 5th house is the 3rd house from 3rd.
If Mars and the 3rd Lord aspects the 3rd house, there is a promise of a sibling.
If Mars and Jupiter are exalted or in Kendra or in trikona, there is a promise of siblings.
Relationship/condition of Mars (karaka for younger coborn) is must.
Vimshothari dasa is very important. During the Dasa periods of 3 rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th Lords or
houses or the planets having PAC link to the above Houses/Lords is necessary for having the
coborns.
Transit of Saturn should have PAC link with 3rd, 5th, Lords or Houses within a year of birth of
a younger coborn.
Transit of Jupiter should have the same PAC link as told above.
Transit of Mars should have the same PAC link as told above.
If the 3rd House be equipped with strength, be conjoined with a benefic and the karaka of 3 rd
house (Mars) also strong and posited in a benefic house, the prosperity of brother is assured.
If the 3rd house/3rd lord weak, karaka also weak, if posited in 6-8-12 houses, the results will be
destruction of co-born.

RELATIONSHIP WITH SIBLIGNS:
LL of D-1 and LL of D-3 will always be friendly because D-1 Lagna Lord is friendly with 5 th and
9th House Lords. In Drekkana chart, houses have only trinal movement (1-5-9) based on
Ascendant Degree. If a planet is in 1st Drekkana the same house in D-3. If a planet in 2nd
Drekkana then the placement will be 5th in D-3. If a planet in 3rd Drekkana then the placement
will be in the 9th House in the D-3 Chart. Hence D-3 LL will be either be 1 st or be 5th or be 9th lord
of D-1 Chart.
We have to concentrate on 3rd House to see the quality of relationship among the siblings. See the
movement of 3rd house lord in D-3 chart.
Check the planets having PAC with 3rd House /Lord.
If the Ascendant is in 1st Drekkana (o to 10 degrees) in D-1 chart, then the 3 rd house of D-1 and D3 are same which is good for relationship of siblings.
If the Lagna (Kumba) is in 2nd Drekkana, then D-3 Lagna is 5th H, i.e. Gemini. From Gemini the
3rd H is Leo. Which is the 7th house of D-1. 7th House represents spouse, partnership, public
image,then the relationship is SUPERIFICIAL. They tend to be friendly in public, but will have
wide gap internally.
If the Lagna (Kumba) is in 3rd Drekkana, then the Lagna of D-3 falls in the 9 th from it. Hence
from the D-3 Lagna, 3rd house is for siblings. The 3rd of house of D-3 is the 11th house of D-1

chart. 11th house indicates gains, desires, income, eleders etc., Hence the relationship between the
brothers purely materialistic in nature.
Karaka for younger is Mars and Karaka for Elder is Jupiter. Analyzing the karakas or
interrelationship in the respective D-1 and D-3 charts will give the relationship of the brothers.

ability to give disease or death.

also give adverse results.
j. Planets which are placed in 4th and 12th house of Rasi chart and simultaneously placed in 8 th house
in D-3 chart are in Mrutyu Drekkana. Karaka planets placed in Mruthyu Drekkana cause hardship
and unnatural death to relatives represented by them.
DEATH POINT SAHAM:
Add longitudes of Lagna, the Moon, the Sun, and Jupiter. When transit of Saturn linked with this point,
death may occur.
Mruthy Saham: Add the longitudes of 6th , 8th, 12th Lords. When transit of Saturn either conjoined or
