Giving people an image of what learning could be like is a really

important part of improving education. Students, teachers,
administrators, parents, policymakers, and community
members have remarkably similar views of what education
looks like, and those views have not changed much since we
were in school.

education

One place to start is to design a more comprehensive road-map

of innovation made up of its integral parts. The more innovation
is seen and the people who enact it are recognized, not buried
in plain sight, the more it will be valued. The more we see it
and what it contributes the more people become essential to
their place within this mutual value proposition needed
between the organization and its employees. The overarching
plank of offering education on innovation is the real glue as
this is where the value of knowledge is central, in my view, to

2015 is a big year. It marks the beginning of a new 15-year

global agenda, and finally (hopefully) a binding agreement on
climate. This month, the United Nations adoption of the new
agenda, the Sustainable Development Goals, will determine the
health and well-being of millions of children and their families
for decades to come. Years in the making, many agree they are
the most ambitious goals yet, aimed at putting the world on
track to end preventable deaths forever.

published Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for project
holders and entrepreneurs working in the field of education.

Internet Research

It is widely recognized that education plays a vital role in socioeconomic development. Looking at the changes that have taken
place in the Republic of Korea over the past 50 years, it is clear
that the driving force for improvements came from gains in
knowledge and technologies, and the transformation of value
systems through education. Education plays a crucial role in
development but we need to find the type of education that can
bring about the changes needed for sustainable development.

Current school improvement practices improve a school but

dont always improve learning in the school. From this, serious
disparities develop between different groups of students. In
addressing the issues facing schools, an innovative spirit seems
to be absent. Policy makers and system administrators are
often wary of innovation in education.

Australian
Research

It is widely understood that innovation is central to the success

of modern enterprises, whether they are product or service
focused, private, public or voluntary sector. But the term is
often used loosely to include virtually any form of change; and,
notwithstanding the growing literature on the subject, clarity
about the form of innovation suitable for given contexts is not
always easy to establish

December 2012 we commissioned 11 projects that were designed to explore
further the issues identified at the summit. There has been a long-standing
research interest in the field of Childhood Studies (James and James,2012).
However, although a lot has been written about childhood and children, there
remains much to be uncovered and understood about children growing up in
todays complex society (Robert-Holmes, 2011), placing a responsibility on
practitioners to engage in the research process
