A.

Electrical Construction Works


HESS (Indonesia-Pangkah) limited intends to review the LPG rerun pump 483-PM-02. In
any upset process condition, the off spec product (mix procuct) will be contained in the
LPG Sphere Tank C before being pumped by LPG rerun pump (483-PM-02) for
reprocessing to depropanizer or propane treater.
Currently LPG Rerun Pump 483-FM-02 is lxl00 % configuration and it is designed for
intermittent service, the pump have 18 bar differential pressure (butane) and driving by
induction motor 15 kW power.
It is noted that during switching products, pump was suspected to have cavitations
problem. Being suspected of cavitations and the need to increase the availability, HESSPangkah Ltd need to Install hot spare LPG rerun pump (483-PM-02B).
The new pump have 1x100% duty load, where the capacity is equal to the existing pump.
The type of pump is centrifugal. Driving by electrical motor 15kW, 400VAC, 3 ph, 50Hz,
supplied power from MCC 360-ES-0 substation C.
LPG Re-Run Pump-B will install at extension shelter located beside the existing LPG
loading pump shelter. There is necessary to install support, straight ladder and perforated
tray opposite at instrument tray. The ladder tray will install at elevation +3000 in-line and
continue with existing cable tray. The new perforated will install at elevation +6800
dedicated to lighting cable

1. Fabrication, Installation Cable Tray & Pulling Cable

The LPG Re-Run Pump-B will install at extension shelter located beside the existing
LPG loading pump shelter. There is necessary to install support, straight ladder and
perforated tray opposite at instrument tray. The ladder tray will install at elevation
+3000 in-line and continue with existing cable tray. The new perforated will install at
elevation +6800 dedicated to lighting cable.
Location of the new LPG re-run pump-B are nearly live process piping equipment
which is potential to ignite some hazardous hazard during construction. It will be
perform safety work method to isolated or minimize ignition spark due fabrication or
installation of tray approval by Company.
In a cable tray installation and pulling cable work, are also contained items working at
height where supporting installation required a good safety. The proper scaffoldings
including safety line will be installed around location to isolate the safety hazard.
The tray support installation will highly pay attention to safety regarding the location
at above of live processing piping. The support will be bolted into existing pipe
sleeper structure framing. The support will be fabricated including the baseplate for
bolting into existing structural and also the existing structure will be drilled for bolt
hole.
Cable tray installation and pulling cable work will be in good safety equipment. Every

worker involved will train to understand that the falling object risk can be arising and
they shall understand the preventive action. All of equipment used will be in
accordance with its allocation and follow the standards by conducted safety
inspections of those tools. Every work parallel will be coordinated properly to avoid
overlapping work mitigate by work permit controlled by authorized personal for each
job item.

2. Wiring and Termination Works


There are some modification and installation new MCC-starter drawer at 360-ES-04
located at substation-C due to installation of hot spare LPG rerun pump.
The cubicle has internal segregation between the compartments. Typical fully draw
out/in starter are applied comply with existing design of MCC. The drawer is built in
compliance with regulates the drawer extraction and locking system. The connection
mechanism is designed to allow the drawer to be set to any of the four positions
presented below. The degree of protection of the MCC is maintained in all positions
(connected, test, disconnected and drawer removed).

Note:
A: downstream power contacts
B: upstream power contacts
C: auxiliary-circuit contacts

1) Connected position
Power and auxiliary circuits are all connected. This position may be locked using
up to three padlocks.

2) Test position
Power circuits are disconnected (upstream and downstream), auxiliary circuits
remain connected. This position may be used to check the auxiliary circuits and
may be locked using up to three padlocks.
3) Disconnected position
All circuits are disconnected. This position may be locked using up to three
padlocks.
4) Removed position
The above condition explain that fully drawer motor starter allow modify the drawer
without shutdowning main bus bar of MCC panel. The fully drawer motor starter are
available to loose-off from main cubicle/rack hence modification of the wiring system
can be performed outside of the panel. Modifying drawer outside the panel will
reduce potential electrical shock caused by the inadvertence of technicians or failed
system.
In case to pursue the time frame of work, the starter drawer will be modified by
several technicians in parallel work.
Installation the new starter drawer tie-in on the MCC and modification existing starter
drawer will be handled by experienced technician, and all the drawers will have been
tested properly. After the drawer completely installed, the authorized safety personnel
will inspect and isolate the power by LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) to avoid hazard of
shock and injury due to high voltage electricity.

3. Lighting and Small Power System


The LPG loading pump extension shelter are equipped by typical HPS flood lighting
fixture 400 Watt with voltage 230 VAC, installed at elevation +6800, tapping from
nearly existing light (located at existing shelter). The electrical source is supply from
existing panel 363-ED-02 (Normal distribution board for lighting & small power
storage area) located at substation-C.
As per normal procedure for tapping electrical source from existing line, the supply
feeder from distribution panel shall be LOTO to isolate the power and install
maintenance tag to avoid electrical shock dangerous hazard.

4. Earthing System
Earthing system at LPG re-run pump -B will be connected to existing line to provide
interconnected system around storage area. Typical C-clamp will be use for tie-in to
new line earthing system to avoid dangerous spark rather than exothermic weld.

5. Electrical Test and Commissioning


Electrical Testing and Pre-Commissioning Procedure, manufacturer's standard based
on relevant to similar international standards.
B. Post Deployment of Installation and Commissioning:
Commissioning Engineer and Application Engineer will:

Verify proper functionality of all system components.

Create system documentation (testing, commissioning and setting report).

Project Manager will:

Manage project overall schedule in term of Technically and Commercially starting


from Project Kick of Meeting until the Project Completion.

Perform field acceptance testing with Company to ensure system meets SOW.

Create a project notice of completion.
