PROFESSIONAL STATEMENT
As a teacher trainee, practicum is sort of a right passage that we need to go through.
However, in order to become a teacher, I will try my best in whatever I may have to do during
the practicum session. As we have to prepare ourselves physically, mentally and financially, I
do believe that this practicum will help me to become a mature teacher to be. For this third
phase of practicum, I was paired with my classmate Muhammad Haseef bin Zainal Abideen
and two other members from the other TESL class, and we will be going to teach our major
course which is TESL and also our second minor subject that is Pendidikan Moral starting from
25th January to 29th April 2016.
For this three month of practicum, I can only promise myself to try my best and be
committed in, creating an informative yet interactive lesson, executing projects as contribution
for the school, and participating in any events or tasak which may require an extra pair of hand.
I also will try my best to build a good relationship with the administrator, senior teachers, the
school as well as the students.

For the time that I will spend in SK Kitobu, I will get involved in all activities conducted
here. This includes the co-curricular activities which are held every Wednesday. Other than
that, I also will give a full cooperation with the other teacher as an advisor in sport and club
activities there.
Planning the lesson is never an easy task especially for novice teachers. Nevertheless, Ill
take this point as my opportunity to be a better educator in future. Through guidance from my
lecturers as well as the teachers in school, I do believe that at the end of this practicum, I will
be able to sharpen my teaching skill, create an informative yet interactive lesson plan, and
improve my classroom management skills and so on. The experiences that I get in this school
can be used for a future purpose when I got posted later on.
Last but not least, I will build a good relationship with the other teacher who work in SK
Kitobu. This includes respecting each other, helping them and others. Besides, I will try to
socialize with the teachers in term of a good purpose. This is because they are more
knowledeable and familiar with the real context of teaching.
To conclude this, I hereby assure that I will keep my bow to this school as long as I can.
For that, I will assure that I keep myself in check and reflect on my action so that I could
choose a better course of action next time.
