3.1.1.2.2 Procedures impacted

This measurement is used to update the RNC power tracking of consumed power by
the BTS ( power management ).
This measurement report type is activated by the RNC after the Cell Setup complete
and it is sent periodically by the BTS for each cell.
It is also used for Call Tracing purposes and in this case it is sent on RNC demand
after Call Trace session activation.
Initiation & termination of measurements for both
independently (each with their own "Measurement Id").

3.1.1.3 UL RTWP (RSSI)

3.1.1.3.1 Definition
RTWP is the Received Total Wideband Power, including noise generated in the
receiver, within the bandwidth defined by the pulse-shaping filter. In case of receiver
diversity the reported value shall be the linear average of the power in the diversity
branches. The reference point for the Received total wide band power measurement
shall be the output of the pulse-shaping filter in the receiver.
The 3GPP Common measurement type RTWP is also named RSSI (Received Signal
Strength indication) in Alcatel-Lucent solution.

[-112..-50] dBm by step of 0.1 dB

From UA5.0 this measurement is used by the RNC to perform UL load evaluation for
UL iRM and UL CAC purposes, for UL interference call admission control on RACH in
RRC Connection Admission Control (see details in [Vol. 6]). This measurement report
type is activated by the RNC after the Cell Setup complete and it is sent periodically
by the BTS for each cell.
It is also used for Call Tracing purposes and in this case it is sent on RNC demand
after Call Trace session activation.
Initiation & termination of measurements for iRM and Call Traces is performed
independently (each with their own "Measurement Id").
