aboutitself.TheBiblestates,"AllScriptureisgivenbyinspirationofGod"[2Timothy3:16].
ThewordinspirationinthistextistheGreekwordtheopneustos.ThisGreekwordisa
combinationwordfromTheos"God"+Pepneustai"tobreathe".ItmeansliterallyGodbreathed.All
scriptureistheproductofGod'sbreathorGodbreathedness.Godhimselfspeaks(orbreathes)the
scripture.
ThisissignificantbecausewereadinGenesis2:7,"theLORDGodformedmanofthedustoftheground,
andbreathedintohisnostrilsthebreathoflifeandmanbecamealivingsoul"[NASB].Youcanseethe
biblicalconnectionbetweenthewordsbreath,inspiration,andlife.
"TheWordofGodislivingandpowerfulandsharperthananytwoedgedsword,piercing
eventothedivisionofsoulandspirit,andofjointsandmarrow,andisadiscernerofthe
thoughtsandintentsoftheheart"[Hebrews4:12andAMP].
