Assignment: Strong Interest Inventory Reflection 10 pts

UNI250
This assignment is your opportunity to dissect and analyze the assessment
results. These results are very customized based on your responses to
inventories that have been tested in hundreds of thousands of individuals and
can provide you with a lot of useful information as you start to determine your
major at ASU, your career path, and even the work environment you would fit
best with. Essays should be a minimum of 500 words (word count should be
included in the document) and should follow formatting described in the
syllabus. Use the following questions as a guide to your paper:
1) What was your first reaction to the results; your personality and interests
codes? Do the descriptions seem accurate for you? Mention here what your
predicted (from previous class activity) and actual three-letter SII code.
2) What were the top three career recommendations from me3? How do your SII
results compare to your me3 results?
3) Of the top careers named in your SII results, your combination report and
your me3 recommendations, which careers are of interest to you? Which careers
surprised you? What careers will you look into as possible paths?
4) Explore how the SII pointed you into possible new directions what
majors/careers did it suggest and how might these be a good fit? A poor fit?
What major(s) sound most interesting now and why? Be very specific.
5) What type of work environment (style, leadership, etc.) fit you best according
to your results?
6) Where are you in your major decision-making process? Explain what
research/steps youve taken up until today (what majors sound most interesting
now) and what do you still feel like you need to do before declaring (i.e., are you
almost ready to declare? How can we get you to declare this semester?) Now
that you know this information from your assessment what will you do with
this information? Discuss how you will take that information and use it as you
decide on a major. What specific actions will you take (i.e. see note below) to
take this information to the next level? (Example: Which majors, clubs,
internships, and college courses match your strong interest code?)
**Keep in mind that assessments can only take you so far, with this information, now you can
narrow down some choices and actually try out some experiences through taking college courses,
joining clubs, etc.**
