ABSTRAK

ANINDA NADYA BILQIS. Analisis Faktor-faktor yang Mempengaruhi Risiko Produksi Ayam
Broiler di Kabupaten Serang. Dibimbing oleh ANNA FARIYANTI.
Kabupaten Serang mengalami peningkatan jumlah populasi ayam broiler sebesar 1.307
persen pada tahun 2015. Akan tetapi, produksi pada tahun tersebut menurun sebesar 2.29 persen
dari tahun sebelumnya. Peningkatan mortalitas dan penurunan jumlah produksi mengindikasikan
terjadinya risiko produksi yang dihadapi oleh para peternak di Kabupaten Serang. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh faktor-faktor produksi terhadap risiko produksi ayam
broiler yang dihadapi oleh peternak di Kabupaten Serang. Penelitian ini mengambil 32 sampel
dari peternak responden di Kabupaten Serang dengan menggunakan purposive sampling sebagai
metode penentuan sample sedangkan metode analisis data menggunakan model Just and Pope.
Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, ditunjukkan bahwa peningkatan penggunaan DOC dan pemanas
secara nyata dapat meningkatkan risiko produksi (risk inducing factors) sedangkan peningkatan
penggunaan pakan dan vaksin secara nyata dapat menurunkan risiko produksi (risk reducing
factors). Sementara itu, faktor produksi lainnya seperti obat, tenaga kerjam dan sekam pun dapat
menurunkan risiko produksi tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap risiko produksi.

Broiler chicken population growth in Serang Regency is experiencing an increase of 1.307% in
2015. However, the production decrease by 2.29% compared to the previous year. Increase in
mortality and decrease in production indicate production risk for breeders in Serang Regency.
This study aims to analyze the relationship between production factos with production risk of
chicken broiler production in Serang Regency. The study uses 32 samples from breeder
respondents in Serang Regency using purposive sampling for its sampling method and Just and
Pope for its data analysis method. According to the finding, it is found that the increase in DOC
use and heater evidently improves production risk (risk inducing factors), while the reduction of
pallette use and vaccine reduces production risk (risk reducing factors). Meanwhile, other
production factor such as medicine, labor, and chaff may reduce production risk but with no clear
evident that it could be influencing production risk.
