INTRODUCTION TO ANDROID
One of the most widely used mobile Operating System these
days is ANDROID. Android is a software bunch comprising
not only operating system but also middleware and key
applications. Android Inc. was founded in Palo Alto of California,
U.S. by Andy Rubin, Rich miner, Nick sears and Chris White in
2003. Later Android Inc. was acquired by Google in 2005. After
original release there have been number of updates in the
original version of Android.

FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS

Application Framework :- It enables reuse and
replacement of components.

Dalvik Virtual Machine :- It is optimized for mobile

device.
Integrated Browser :- It is based on the open source
web kit engine.
Optimized Graphics :- It is powered by a custom 2D
graphics library , 3D graphics based on the OpenGL ES
1.0 specification.

ABOUT EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT

SYSTEM
Employees are the backbone of any company, their
management pays a major role in deciding the success
of the organisation. Employee management software
makes easy for the employer to keep track all the
records. This project contains Employee payroll and
salary features, which is developed using eclipse.

AK EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT app is constructed to

store all the information of an employee. Its all
personal details like employee Id, name, experience,
age etc. Further it will store the attendance of an
employee which includes total no. of working days,
total no. of working hours etc. Using all this information
we can categorise our employees on their
achievements (grades), which will make easy for the
owner to decide the future of a particular employee.

SOFTWARE USED
Android Development Tools (ADT) is a plugin for the
Eclipse IDE that is designed to give you a powerful,
integrated environment in which to build Android
applications.

ADT extends the capabilities of Eclipse to let you

quickly set up new Android projects, create an
application UI, add packages based on the Android
Framework API, debug your applications using the
Android SDK tools, and even export signed (or
unsigned) .apk files in order to distribute your
application.

Developing in Eclipse with ADT is highly recommended

and is the fastest way to get started. With the guided
project setup it provides, as well as tools integration,
custom XML editors, and debug output pane, ADT gives
you an incredible boost in developing Android
applications.
