Purpose:
ThepurposeofthisresearchisdoneformyInformationTechnologyclassthatIam
attendingasanonlinestudentforsummer2016.Thispaperisthefirstassignmentforthe
course.
Thetopicbeingresearchedcoverscomputers,healthrisksgeneratedformcomputers,
environmentalrisksandhowitisaffectingourlivesplusthegeneralpeopleknowledgein
biometrics.
Iamhopingthatpeoplewillbeknowledgeableandunderstandingoftechnologyasitis
veryimportantinourdaytodaylife,fromhealthandsafetytoworkandconductingbusiness;
allsectorsrelyontechnologyandadvancesinittoensurethebestpossibleoutcome.


Method:
Thisisasmallscalesurvey;theamountofpeoplewhotookthesurveyis25people.
ThepeoplesurveyedwerelocatedattheSummerHaysBarandGrillinthewestendofOttawa.

customerssittingintherestaurantandthatwasafteraskingforpermissionfromthemanager.
Mostlythesurveywaswrittenassurveyorswerejustcirclingtheanswersbut,in3casesIdid
haveanoralconversationaboutthequestions.
Theagegroupofthesurveyorsis2049yearsofagewiththemajoritybeingbetween2029
yearsofage.Therewere4femalesand21malesconductingthesurvey.

Conclusion:
TheresultswereslightlyofffromwhatIhonestlythoughttheywouldbeespeciallywith
theriskfactorandwhatpeopleknowabouttechnology.
ThereisnodenyingthatpeoplebelievethatExtensiveuseofcomputerswouldcausemajor
chronicpain,Aswellthemajorityofpeoplealsobelievethatcomputersdocauseinduced
medicalproblems.
ThepeoplesurveyedthoughtDNAtestinghelpsintodayslife,fromtestingforthecourtoflaw
tomakepeopleinnocentorguiltyofcrimescommittedaswellusedtohelpingpeoplefindtheir
heritageandmajorhumanstudiesthatrequireDNAtesting.

Forotherbiometricsitwassadtoseethatnotalotofpeoplehavethatkindof
technologyforworkloginknowingthatithelpsthecompaniessavemoneybycountingexact
hoursandregulatingtheentriesandbasicallydoingalltheaccountingworkforyou(pay,
salary..)whichinthepastrequiredahumantodoit;anditisveryaccessibleandcheapatthe
momentwithamachine,8/10qualityusedfortheoutdoorswouldrunyou$700maxwhich
includesfingerprintandfacialrecognitionsavingupto1500facesand3000fingerprints.
NodifficultiesweencounteredwiththissurveybuttheonethingIwouldchangeisinterviewing
morepeopleasitinterestsmetoknowmoreabouthowpeoplethinkandacknowledge
technologyintheirlife.
