This SI focuses on all technical and practical aspects of Internet of Things (IoT). The Internet of Things is about installing sensors (RFID, IR, GPS, laser scanners, etc.) for everything, and connecting them to the internet through specific protocols for information exchange and communications, in order to achieve intelligent recognition, location, tracking, monitoring and management. Smart computing is an emerging global Internet-based information architecture facilitating the exchange of goods and services in global supply chain networks. This special issue is intended to cover contributions in both the design and analysis in the context of Internet of Things and Smart Computing.
