ABSTRACT
This study determines the extent of dissemination of information, awareness, and degree
of acceptability of the revised LDCU vision and mission and the CAS objectives among students
and faculty. It is specifically aimed to test a significant difference in the respondents profile and
the extent of dissemination of information and awareness and degree of acceptability of the
revised LDCU vision and mission and the CAS objectives. It is also aimed to test significant
difference between the extent of dissemination and awareness and degree of acceptability of the
revised vision and mission. 102 CAS respondents were part of the study; 86 of them were
students while 16 were faculty members. Descriptive research design was employed using a
researcher-made survey questionnaire. Results show that most of the respondents were
Psychology students, mostly females, and in their second year and also regular as their academic
status. Most of the faculty were from Behavioral Sciences and Humanities and Natural Sciences
departments; with an equal number of respondents. Most of them were regular but in terms of
gender, there were an equal number of males and females. In terms of students extent of
dissemination, it reveals a moderate extent and also moderate awareness of the revised vision
and mission. The finding suggests that CAS students are aware of the revised vision and mission
and CAS objectives which were disseminated suitably and clearly through brochures, bulletin
boards, leaflets, manuals, posters, and meetings. On the other hand, facultys extent of
dissemination also shows moderate level and awareness of the revised vision and mission and
CAS objectives. The results implicate that CAS educators are also aware of the revised vision
and mission and CAS objectives through posters and bulletin boards. In terms of students degree
of acceptability of the vision and mission and CAS objectives, the results reveal that they accept
the vision and mission and CAS objectives for total human formation and delivery of quality
education for all stakeholders. It can be inferred from the results that the students adhere to the
vision and mission of the University in molding them to become a man for a changing society.
Moreover, results show that educator-respondents have a strong degree of acceptability of the
revised vision and mission and CAS objectives. It was gleaned that the faculty members are
agents of change because they strongly accept the Universitys vision of total human formation,
its mission on delivering quality instruction and CAS objective to be a man for a changing
society. The students profile in terms of gender, course, and academic statuses bore no
significant difference with the extent of dissemination. Thus, students gender, course, and

academic status have no significant difference in their extent of dissemination of the revised
LDCU vision and mission and CAS objectives. However, year level shows that there is a
significant difference in the extent of dissemination and awareness of the vision and mission.
Meanwhile, facultys profile has also found no significant difference with the extent of
dissemination, when grouped according to their department, gender, and employment status.
Results show that profile has no bearing on facultys beliefs and values which make them aware
of the revised vision and mission and CAS objectives. Further, students profile was also found no
significant difference with the degree of acceptance. They come to accept the vision and mission
regardless of their gender, course, year level, and academic status. While faculty members
profile has also no significant bearing with the degree of acceptance. They also strongly accept
the vision and mission regardless of their gender, department, and employment status because of
their trust to the University. Lastly, students extent of dissemination and degree of acceptability
was found to have a significant difference. It can be gleaned that the more they are aware of the
information which would be disseminated appropriately and clearly through brochures, manuals,
meeting, and the like, they would come to accept the revised LDCU vision and mission which
they believe can help them grow and acquire new knowledge and good values. Similarly.
Facultys extent of dissemination and degree of acceptance also found to have a significant
difference. It can be deduced that if the information was disseminated through different sources
such as posters, bulletin boards, and the like the more that they become aware and internalize by
accepting the revised Universitys vision and mission and CAS objectives.
