CHAPTER NO 1
(1) VALUES OF WRITER
A man must know the behavior, integrity, intention, sincerity,
loyalty of understanding the religion to the best of his knowledge.
If an author writes with fear, for buttering somebody or with
self interest, he/she will not be doing justice to his/her writings.
Also the writer must not write under emotional conditions& with a
hatred mood. The writer is known from his actions and qualities,
aims and ambitions. The person, who has values of good and
vast knowledge of his subject and goal, can only succeed. So it
becomes necessary to know Will of the writer otherwise possibility
remains that some of thethoughts may not be read in real context
&may give wrong impression to the readers.
Also the readers must know the circumstances and purpose
under which context, the articles are written. Wealthy people seldom live in worries. He alone is great who has his mind united with
the holy feet of the Almighty God.
(2) ATTAINMENT OF OUR PURPOSE OF LIFE
Unless we understand our purpose of life and have a deep
and committed desire to attain it, we will never be truly happy in
life. To achieve this, we have to be known basically and truly spiritual. Only then we will truly know the real meaning of happiness. In
spiritually it is described as bliss. Bliss is permanent happiness.
Happiness is a roller coaster ride.
To be spiritual, we have to understand the meaning of spirituality. When we do things in life we say that only that thing is done
right which is done in the right spirit. Likewise true happiness which
is the desire of every human being and which in true reality is
known as bliss can only be achieved if we have true love for the
Almighty, who is nothing but the ultimate and eternal Truth. This
understanding is truly known as spirituality. Only when it is done
with the right spirit and understanding one is and should be called
spiritual. Divinity and spirituality are inseparable. Unless you know
the Divine, you can never be spiritual and unless you are truly
spiritual you will never know the Divine. The more you love the
(6)
Divine, the more spiritual you are the more you love the Divine.
The Divine is unfathomable, incomprehensible, without any depth
and without any limits. As such we have to merge into the Almighty
by living a life full of compassion, humility, contentment, forgiveness, generosity and truth. Only when we have truly understood
this, will we start the process of merging.
And because this is a difficult thing to do, we have been blessed
with number of breaths and an invaluable human life. How we spend
each moment is whats being watched by the Almighty. Our full
account of every moment (which is actually our real statement of
account) is being kept and after we die, our real profit and loss
account and balance sheet will be kept before us on our day of
judgment. Punishments and laurels will be accorded. The net result which are our sanchit karmas is the base according to which
the pen of the Almighty will flow to decide our future destiny-the
number of existences well have to pass through before well again
be accorded a human birth and where and what our run in that
birth will actually be. We criticize the Almighty for all our woes. But
let us be very clear that what we experience is nothing but the
result of our thoughts and deeds in our past and existing lives and
this determines The Will of the Almighty on which we then have no
choice because we are responsible for it. The more we confront it,
the more unhappy well keep on going and going. The Almighty, by
virtue of His nature, is compassionate, merciful, impartial and an
embodiment of truth.
Firdausi, a highly renowned Persian poet, was called by the
king of his time to compile a list of all the important events that had
taken place in the world till that time. Even as Firdausi toiled away
for years to condense the compilation to a size of the kings liking,
he get news that the king was on his death bed countings his last
moments and rushed to the palace. The king was unhappy the
Firdausi didnt comply with his request. Firdausi replied that he
would do it right then. The king was pleased and asked him to do
so. He stated that people are born to live a life of happiness and
unhappiness, contentment and dissatisfaction, love and hatred
etc. and finally, die like you are going to die. This is the only true
story of life. Everything else is false and nothing but an illusion.

Darshan Singh, right from childhood, was a spiritual-minded
person, but his different ideas and intricate questioning were bringing him into conflict with his practicing Roman Catholic parents.
He never believed that only Catholics and Christians and monopoly on the truth. What about others, he used to ask. He
refused to eat meat because of the lines in the Bible, which said
Thou shalt not kill. This saying, felt Darshan, also extended to
animal life. Similarly, he had long hair because all the prophets
and philosophers kept their hair unshorn.
He was baptized and remained an altar boy in the village
Catholic church till 15 year of age. I knew very little about India
except that Buddhism originated here and it was the land of Mahatma Gandhi. I had no knowledge of Sikhism at all. But ever since
I had a very strong desire to visit India, tells Darshan Singh.

After thousand of years, we become able to achieve independence. The constitution was prepared in 2yrs 11 months 17 days
to finalize the draft of the constitution of India and made applicable in 15th August 1950.
The language of politics rechanged. Politicians have neither
time nor intention to spare a single thought and the idea of this
powers to serve faithfully & sinceraly. Ultimate play is meant to
generaise the people and to build a new India where freedom
should never something for the pureiest of the man, where the
helpless cannot live life of dignity and self respect with out fear
and sorrow. Their Will is to serve the majority who are rich and
prosperous rather a minority who are the poorest 15% of the population is suffering is suffering due to vote Bank not for their needs.
Politicians are wandering after the money and matter / material, hence they can only think to make flourish the rich and prospectus people due to earn a vote bank not to serve the people
with sincerity and humble. No body bathers for the poor and needy
as if they are not the members or people of Indian Governing
Independence.
Our constitution was made according to the existing rules of
law before independence. It has to be modified immediately to
establish and to keep the present people at par with the common
man so that they may enjoy their life with out fear and sorrows. It is
our duty to amend the constitution where a better arrangements
and managements be made to provide shelters food and clothes
immediately to all, without fail.

Younger brother replied that you had a big family, I wish to give

An old gentleman had two sons who always listen him properly. They have been put into task of tests
Once he was to go to some farther place. He called all of them
before going out. He said I am going out for sometime and handing over my charge and equal amount for business or for other
livelihood.
I wish that you should make well use of it and advised you to
prove that nothing will lose from this money.
The two brothers were anxious to compete each-others to get
the bless of their father to keep the money safe.
The elder brother safely kept the money in lock and daily guard
it but do not dare to spend even when he was in problems and in
difficult position of his family.

It is true, the God gave us the true intlect (other intelcts are
selfish only for the self motive) to make applicable making for different stages of the different people.
The religion is expressed or defined as the alround development of ones personality such as devotional, spiritual, intellectual
and sacrificing quality of God and with polite sound well process of
religion, so that each and every person may enjoy well with His
leadership.
None can question that any one has more power than God,
Such persons to have given from His own power to preach and
teach the people so that each and every person may know to
saceifice for humanity.
From the History, we can learn if any body who is sound in one
art, can never be successful for the period to come. The Government crushes the people to accept its slavery to remain such a
polite status which may become the cause of slavery for others as
in late Ashoka period when he found many lives lost.
So many kings like Sikandra, Ravna, Harnakhsha, and of the
Mughal period, all of them came India to loot the money, power,
famalies and destroyed religious places of worships in their times.
The previous kings of world were notorious cruel, tyrant who
were responsible of killings lacs of people in China, Farance and
in other countries only to show their selfish motives.
Cruality the people were not awakened not united and ruined
with their Kingdom. Now when wich that kingdom period was over
and though democracy period came but revolution to be brought
for the truth full and religious political atmosphere for welfare of all
where the people may feel no fear, worry suffering without paion.
They may enjoy the peace of truth, justice for their rights, basic
principles of livinghood, which may not be lost. This is the intention of the Almighty God to follow for ever. The Govt. must restore
their fundamental rights to have good shelter food and in clothes
for themselves to remain aware, awake and skilled. People must
remain responsible to select the people who are most responsible
of values of noble person so that qualitative govt. be formed.
Only the Great man make the men great.
Devinity should be a compulsory subject in education system.

ing. We are making the base of their knowledge and making improvement for the sake of name and fame of in self.
We can only achieve peace if we are not egolessed and to
remain careful of our duty and responsibility fals on our shoulders
to awake for our coming generation.
Hence it become necessary to make known about the divine,
His principal, His action, His power, His procedure of working divine knowledge and his wonders also which are beyond our so
called knowledge but by going deep in patience and bliss we can
assured to be as if our God is doing all our work. That is all about
God and His power to know essentionally for the common man
first showing him self to be great. Hence the education must be
taught in schools & college as compulsory subject.
(15) PURPOSE OF WRITING ENGLISH GLOBAL GURMAT
GUIDE BOOK
The purpose of writing Global Gurmat Guide in English is to
encourage the missionaries to make them able to give a speech
in English. I happened to meet many preachers who avoide,
hesitiate to say any thing about their religion in English as their
experience to speak Punjabi being their mother tongue. It takes
bad effect on the intelagencias. One of my friend Prof. Ajit Singh
(Sikka) happened to address some Christians when he is called
to speak in a church about his religion. For impression giving to
those Chritians who called him to impress them about the importance to lead for heaven.
(37)
(38)
I tried my best to write the truth and real feelings of mine with
the guidance of Gurbani Guru and going deep in it. Any pausity

Chapte NO. 2
Man / Superiority Psycholgy
(1) AN IMPORTANT NOTE TO HAVE BEEN NOTED.
It is an important note for a writer/speaker to get success is
public and in audience. Everybody gets striken an important
idea many times but never become serious to excelerate to note
or write down. When it is put on the note later, to think again and
again that previous state never comes So one must take use of to
write to note down imnedially when new and important idea striken
in mind.
It is also required to get directions from the dictionaries of
Punjabi to English and English to Punjabi at your approach. It is
also needed to have an encyclopedia of concerned subject with
the speaker or writer like Mahan Kosh of Kahan Singh Nabha.
Our brain never become old and remains fresh ever though
our body gets old with our age. You must make your brain furtile
with the help of mind. By colleting ideas fruited and thoughts, the
brain saved and supply us when required. Also our mind and brain
goes on thinking/planning to shape our ideas and thoughts for
the day to day use. It is our duty also to go on using these organ
for best of use. It will help for others and for service of mankind.
Many ideal persons get never a sound sleep with a hope to getting guidance of thoughts from their brain and mind. Hence their
brain become furtile and usefull for the mankind. Also it is necessary to get dreams of thoughts in night and in day light also to
make them fruitful also with the help of brain, mind and soul. You
will be serving the humanity in the right Path as our Gurus and
Gursikh have dictated. We must become the true followers of our
kind God and Guru.
(2) VALUE BASED SOCIAL SYSTEM AND
WHAT IS OF VALUE
Cherished characteristics of an ideal living which are of value
to us are called values. Without values, moral and ethical man is
just another animal. Human is human because of his humanity.
(39)
Humanity is a sense that prevails by virtue of possession of values like, love, respect, truthfulness, compassion and honesty. When
a human action lacks one of them we call it inhuman.
Values Vs conflicts : Truth is the utmost value. Infact it is essence of all the values. Truth forms the basis of trust and trust is
the foundation of mutual respect and relationships. Truth begets
faith. Untruth fullness begets distrust and Betrayals. Betrayals and
distrust form the basis of weak social relations and generate conflicts.
Guru Nanak the Ist master inspired us to imbibe truthfulness
in our personality as follows :
Imbibe truthfulness in Thy attitude, in the speech and thus in
Thy heart this truthfulness O Nanak empowers you to see Almighty
Omnipresent in all its beings.
He affirms truth is higher but still higher is truthful living.
Youth &Values : Youth is an age of idealism. When this idealism witness reality in the society it encourages revolutionary action. An action to reconstruct social system on idealistic pattern.
Youth has the power not only by virtue of its physical strength but
by virtue of its enthusiasm and idealism. Where as youth creativity
is required for recrafting the social web through spiritual scientific
approach. It is also needed that we dont loose respect for the
elders and teachers in this process of revival.
Social Systems and Values: Values are principles, which are
consistent and universal and which direct our actions and activities. They are in-built in our society, common to all communities
and religions. Values represent the conviction that a specific mode
of conduct or end-state of existence is personally or socially preferable to an opposite or converse mode of conduct or end-state
of existence.
Values are in other words virtues as against vices in an individual. A list of some of the virtues and vices are given in the table
below :
Human Virtues
Human Vices
Degradation, immorality,
Evilness
Unhappiness, Mocking, fighting
Irregularity, Insincerity,
Carelessness
Romanticism, Ill
feeling, Depression
Frustration, Suppression,
Values: Values may be classified into four types. Personal values enrich an individual with goodness. Social Values are good
for society and deal with relationship of an individual with people.
Cultural values involve the survival of the culture. Institutional values include establishment political and moral values.
Virtues: These virtuous values, if deteriorated, will hasten or
accelerate the breakdown of a family, society, nation or universe.
Although there has been great advancement is Science, technologies and economies world over, there has been gradual erosion of values, which is reflected in day to day life of a large section of our society. Our young generation under the growing influ(41)
ence of negative aspects of Culture mixing is stranding of crossroads. The reasons of this worsening situation are discussed in
succeeding paragraphs.
Culture : The major reason remains the inability to rightly adjust to the fast changing cultural and social values caused by global change. Indian Cultural and social values have been changing regularly with the inter actions and reactions foreign cultures
and values. The naked falsehood, merciless violence, inhuman
treacheries and mesmerizing materialism being continuously propagated on odd TV Channels, countless websites and newspapers
and magazines on glazed paper day in, day out have impacted
Indian minds with increasing materialistic desire, self before service attitudes, impatient behaviour, disobedience, easy life
patterns, unethical conduct, violence, indignity to women and
above all a sense of insecurity.
Teachers &Parents : The second major reason is the direction of our teaching. Systems. In ancient times the sages and gurus were the guides for practicing ethical values; in the medieval
period gurus and elders helped them acquire basic Indian ethics
and during British times, the teachers in school and parents at
home taught moral principals. After independence, the pattern of
the British was followed, however, over a period, possibly due to
the impact of communism, the teaching of human values gradually diminished. With the technology advancement, social sciences
lost to science and allied subjects. Teaching of moral values was
reduced to minimum while its practical application became near
zero. The breaking joint family system and the increasing demand
to earn kept both mother and father away from guiding and supervising their children on moral values and allowed them to glue on
to T.V; which had more vices than virtues. The young minds got
attached to these vices easily and started practicing what they
see on TV and films.
Religions selection : The third major reason is the practice of
ritualism and not the true religions. All religions teach, Unity of
God, Universal Brotherhood, truth, love for all and hatred towards
none; goodness, peace, contentededness etc., and the true saints
do it practical. However, those who do not understand religion
(42)
rightly got into fanaticism and ritualism. For example the principle
of universal brotherhood is so flouted by certain fanatics that they
use force to make others accept their religion. May those have
been often caused on this account. The name of religion is thus
used as a tool to communalism. With this the insanity, social balance and fabric of universal brotherhood is broken.
Missinterprated Secularison : The fourth major reason is the
wrong description and application of the meaning of secularism.
Though secularism is based on allowing every person to follow his
own religion and not to interfere in any other religion; it has been
taken to be as following of no religion. With this the ethics and
value system have gone to the background. The structure has
become more important than the base; base getting moth-eaten.
Here lies the tragedy of a nation. The nation, which once was the
beacon light of religion and culture for the world, is now known as
the shameless imitator of western culture. Indians boast to be more
English than the English is.
Education and Constitutions :The fifth major reason is a systematic exclusion of lessons on religion, ethics and moral values
from our school texts. On the name of secularism, the books on
national level and in some states were devoid of teaching true
religious, ethical and moral values. Even the lives of saints were
also taught on pure historical point of view rather than on the
religious and ethical values they preached. Hence students found
no suitable guidance from their curriculum on religion and ethics.
We have to stop this trend if we want to save our future from
going the path of self-destruction. We have to educate our youth.
The education has to start from home and through school, college upto places of working.
At home we have the mothers and sisters teaching a child the
very basics of love, affection, compassion, truth, punctuality, cleanliness, courtesy and basic religious values. The fathers and other
elders at home and in the neighbours teach them disciple, control, respect to elders, meaning of relationship, work ethics, dedication, commitment etc.
These days most of the children start going to schools at four.
The responsibility of basic building thus passes on to the teach(43)
ers, which not only teach them basic manners and respects but
also the knowledge about environment around. The social fabric
and dealing with the world ought to be explained.
At school and college, the social values, national values and
global values must be taught in tandem. Nations cultural heritage, constitutional obligations, historical values and religious beliefs have to be ingrained into the minds of the students. The parents at tome, the teachers at schools and college and leaders in
society are the real role models for the young minds and they
have to become so, if they want the new generation to have high
character and moral values. Institutions must have moral code of
conduct which they should strictly follow. They morning prayers
must be held to infuse and enthuse moral values. Ethics must be
introduced as a subject in all classes.
One must not forget that all the values are derived from the
ultimate reality supreme power or self-consciousness to which
many orients himself. To believe that we have the divine spark in
each one of us is the most eternal value to be inculcated by the
small children even before starting the school life. It is acknowledged now the world over that ultimate goal of education is realization of the treasure within.
A great deal of responsibility of evolving an educational system akin to our own civilization and our own tradition rests with the
teachers. The methods of teaching has also to be very effective. I
give here an example how the values were taught to me at a very
crucial juncture of my life.
I was very over-confident to the level of arrogance in my earlier days of officership. I treated my men very shabbily taking that
I was made to rule over them and they were made to obey my
orders blindly. This arrogance led me to misbehave with my subordinates. I started loosing temper occasionally. Once my senior
watched my behaviour with a junior. He invited me for a cup of tea
in his house in the evening without allowing me to know the real
reason.
During talks he said, Suppose your friend sends a person to
you. How would you behave towards that person ?
(44)
(45)
(46)
the force that draws the string taught and make is to reach to the
Nami the creater.
Nam Simran. It should be constantly, remembering of regularly with zeal. It is our duty to praise the God for the wonderful life
and daily needs bestowed by our Lord. If you rub a bit of iron on a
hard sunface, it develops heat. If you continue rub vigorously, it
can be made rod hot, but if you do so between long intervals, the
iron becomes cold : Naam Simran has to be repeated again and
again with full enthusiasm slowly with understanding virtues keeping in views for His graces in mind. It will bring morblous change in
your life with a massage of God to remenber.
Simaran is a fort where one protects ones virtues from evils
and ill thoughts to store. So the mind stays in a fort of God forever
fearing situations.
The first step towards acquisition of wisdom and atachment
enter into discipline of Naam-Simarn, the continuous remembrance
of the name of God will start.
Simarn is the best antidote for the overcoming anger and
sorrow. This will unstill the faith, that everything goes with Gods
will.
It will teach that you have no right for some thing which is to
despair or exult causes of loss of hopes, course and cultured style.
Our life style should become a massage of God. Let all live in
a life of harmony, joy and peace. We should be committed to adopt
basic human values and spirit of constant self enquiry end Self
assessment. We should promote and taste an inner silence, the
voice of conscience. We should not indulge in back bittingof other
specially in their absence. Tuning in Lord remembrance and filtering of worldly thoughts, insert love and deep desire of His company and relising His absence, is going in depth of silence. This
process definitely helps in cleaning of our mind from vices and
evils. When heart is purified the spring of love will automatic flow.
It is the authenticity of experience. Then qualities of Lord start to
enter in heart and you will be feeling going to dissolve in God.
Your efforts of remembering God co-inside with broattingand the
journey to Lord starts with out any other efforts. The shabad,

the divine soul. It takes in the Khasla the divine word, where in a
living being attains salvation and get rid of transmigration of Soul
in the circle of deaths births identity.
Let a drop of nector for salvation may rest in your tuned mind
to give you peace of Lords company. Lest we forget for a moment
of forgetting Almighty God. Most cordially request you to stand
always with honour to be on back who are ready to face any
circenstancenot have to afraid of death or to sacrifice Hundred of
thousand significant pleasures aspects enjoyed, if the True Guru
bestows his glance of grace (Guru Bani). Serving the True Guru,
mind becomes immaculate and pure also. Egotism and corruption
are discarded with Gurubani. Faith has no matching with doubts.
Divine of God has no matching with devils.
(5) POWER CORRUPTS AND ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY
This is a popular saying which has a strong element of truth in
it. In every sphere we come across powerful and corrupt people
who are, to serve their own interests, and go to any extent. They
could threaten and vulnerable to honest person to implicate others in a case of corruption. Often, even if the actual culprit happens to get caught, the umbrella of power is there to provide protection. Power begets power. The most dangerous are those who
are powerful and corrupt as well as intelligent. Intellect is a doubleedged sword it can either way. It could even justify a wrongdoing. Articulation and skilful presentation could make untruth
appear like truth.
That is why Ramakrishna did not give much importance to a
learned person; he respected realised souls. A Pundit might be
capable of engaging in any discussion relentlessly. However, from
the spiritual point of view, this is of no consequence. A realized
soul talks less, but in his deliberation there is strength because it
is not based on what he has memorized or the information he has
gathered. When Herman Hesse in his work describes Gautama,
the illustrious one, this aspect comes out sharply.
(49)
(50)
The Lord has sent the man in this world with independence to
chose the right way but due to miss use of his derives needs, he
has invented the things to full fill his lust, needs, and rest due to
ignorance or not using the deciding power or due to not thinking
good or bad. He has missused the power/ spirit given to man for
his luxury beneficiaries look. He has closed his inner eyes. The
God has given eyes, mind, ears, throat, nose and tonng and gave
ful freedome to chose the right or wrong way. It is up to the person
to use or misuse. He had been given the intlect to feel pain, worries, sorrows but due to hust of worldly gain and due to not using
ascending intlect and not listening the voice of conscious, the man
becomes unaware. Hence the evils accumulates on repressed
desies to Soul.
Mistry of Our mind: The rebirth circles starts
to fulfill the lusts, needs, since of the Lord shows his virtue experince
to fulfill all the needs a man, demands skill is upto the man to
chose right or wrong due to his habits of or thinking right or wrong.
As he has made a man from his own it is but necessary for him to
give the power to remain independent to show his right path. The
Lord does not take advice from any body, it is for the man not to
be so independent to forget his grow the source. It is for the benefit of a man to listen to Lords command and take actions accordingly, so that he many rest his soul in the supreme soul.
Of-course he has made many hurdles, ups and downs, charms,
slippery and slummy puzzles, obstacles, hurdles to pass out with
confidence and with the help of Lord. This is the wonder preface
and to look through His game. No one can challenge His work
done. One can place, make refer, ask for mercy, and excused
only if one regrets. The Lord his opened mind to give parden or
can excuse each and every dam foolishness or evil. The man is
only to please the God with his innocence.
The Soul is ever living remaining in or out of the body. It never
dies, never become unconscious at any state of health, A man
can only declared dead or serious when his organs stop to work
including brain.
With whose command a brain of a man starts or stop thinking
and working and who maintain its working. A doctor can never say,
decide or appeal to any body. It becomes very difficult rather it is
(51)
be the aim of a person. Who can not say that God make him to
become true or false. He has given us an intellect, senses, and
guided to work with the command of Almighty is to remain under
our soul or spirit. We cannot say why he has given the mind opened,
our eyes opened. Remember we are independent to keep our
eyes opened or closed or to remain awakened and Consciences
remained asleep during the day even. If we remain ignorant that
means we are not alive. First we should know the purpose of life,
then we should know how to read the mind, how to command on
mind. If our mind is controle, we can solve every problem, we can
make use of our mind to think for the good.
In case when a soul passes away the working of the body and
all the organs stopped resulting death. Hence the soul has very
important role for the working of the body to more one place to an
other place. Medical doctors only know the working or the failure
of heart. The death is declared when the heart stopped working.
Doctors becomes helpless beyond heart beat. Brain remains alright
only if it get supply of fresh blood but when the heart is stopped
working the man declaned dead.
In case somebody who is spiritually rich can know the working
of soul, command by supper soul the God. When the soul dissolve in God to report the function of the body, mind and spirit
where it stayed on the ordinance of God. Also it goes away or to
stay with God it all depends on the Almighty God to send in which
body He likes.
Mind or thoughts and the soul, have no physical body. The
brain which starts being made with in 15 days in womb controls,
and start making the body heart and other organs when our heart
starts beating after 3 months reamins with the help of main heart
of the mother.
The working of soul starts side by side the brain is developed.
Hence the medical science is silent about this spiritual body of
soul and its functions. Who starts developing of brain, beating of
heart and making and keeping the other physical organ intact.
Who starts the functioning of lungs, respiratory systems and staying time in mothers womb. It is the soul who take care of these
organs :
(53)
The doctors and scientists have no reply as if the heart beating is there but the brain stopped functioning and moving the organs of body also stopped but soul stills stays and many times
and in many cases the person again become alright after few days
or even after few months even in rare cases. Here also the science has no reply only because the scientists have no faith in
God and on the mistry of soul/thought. In such cases chances are
there in to which advices shows us the presence of God and soul
in the body functioning.
During these day our thoughts are spread or broken up due
to hurry and worry. Only in the early morning one can easily
controle ones thoughts and can tuned to wards the God. As we
see after the sunrises our thoughts sprecd over hence the peaceful atmosphere is only possible at early morning, when the nature
helps to make meet the God.
The sun and moon is seen from the rays to come similarly the
God is observed from thoughts reflection and souls workings which
make us aware about the Almighty God.
Soul never comes across mind and God but helps to guide the
mind to meet God.
Never show the miracles without the ordinance of All mighty
God. It is sent to lead to God which is the life for what it is sent
accomp nied to a mans body and our Soul.
It is blessed by All mighty God. The voia-media of a man to
dissolve the life death circle since a man is the son of God. It is the
Golden opportunity for a man to have come near to soul as human being. It is the formost duty of a man to listen through mind.
The soul welcome the voice of scilence voice of mind
Such minds always remain to guide. Even if mind does not
divert its attraction, it remains ready but do remains guiding always the mind as if it is its duty. It is the mind which goes back,
towards the soul and come with in others body again and again
due to its absence or negligence.
Hence the soul has always connection with God and is dutiful
does not bather if a mind doesnot listen. The God makes the mind
to listen if so desires Mind only listen the soul when it has enjoyed
(54)
all the illusive things and suffered a lot through the illusives lives
many times. Normally the mind make the body to suffer due to its
negligence thoughts. It is the body who suffers and it is the mind
which remains in worry, fear and sorrows.
And due to mind, the body has to suffered a lot. Body has no
power to by pass mind. Body is controlled by our mind. Body has
not power itself to move, think or to do any thing without mind. And
mind does not come in this world with out body and soul this has to
remember.
So the soul mind and body are inter connected to relise the
Almighty God. The soul bathers least as if it is the part and parcel
of all mighty God and in the end or after the obeyance of Lords
ordinance it has to dissolved in God. The soul is always free to
keep union or remain in union of God and always does right only.
It has no sufferings fear, sorrows, pains or depart God power.
Hence it is our good luck or in our favour to have the company
of soul to relise the God and God bless us power. We must and
always make thanks of kind God who thinks for us His children
good.
Souls spirit gives birth to conscious and Spirit of mind gives
birth to activities. If mind takes the instruction from soul the mind
itself becomes a conscious and the actions is stored in soul. Since
mind already contains wrong and right actions in hand it is necessary to know the values of actions.
The Lord has sent the man in this world with independence to
chose the right way but due to misuse of his derives needs, he
has invented the things to full fill his lust, needs, and rest due to
ignorance or not using the deciding power or due to not thinking
good or bad. He has missused the power/ spirit given to man for
his luxury beneficiaries look. It has closed his inner eyes. The god
has given eyes, mind, ears, throat, nose and toung and gave ful
freedome to chose the right or wrong way. It is up to the person to
use or misuse. He has been given the intlect to feel pain, worries,
sorrows but due to lust of worldly gain and due to not using ascending intlect and not listening the voice of conscious, the man
becomes unaware. Hence the evils it accumulates on repressed
desires.
(55)
Mistery of soul andOur mind : The Lord does not take any
advice from any body, it is for the man not to be so independent to
forget his grow the source. It is for the benefit of a man to listen to
Lords command and take actions accordingly, so that he many

Soul is ever living reaming in or out the body. It never dies,
never become unconscious at any state of health, A man can only
declared dead or serious when essential organs stop to work including brain.
With whose command a brain of a man starts or stop and remain working who maintain its working. A doctor can never say,
decide or appeal to any body. It becomes very difficult natures it is
impossible for doctors to decide or declined a man dead when
other organs like heart respirations system, blood circulation and
eyes are seem to work without recognizing his relatives but a man
cannot be able to more any part of his body. It is a mistery of God
in such situation any miracle can help to happen in no time. A man
can come in normal state of health only with the grace of God, the
only effort left with his family members.
(7) MAN IS A MACHINE
Man is a machine designed constructed and sent in this world
without any rest, maintenance, repair or oiling by any other mechanic expect Almighty God. It has a capacity to work years long
without any holiday or weak end. He goes on running to work for
day and might with spirit to show himself a of God. selfless worker.
This is so wonder of Gods a man is so thank-less who does not
(56)
remember and not make to think and to know work and virtues of
God blessings different types of fruitfilled food and materials to
use, luxury and costly things the man enjoys gifts made for all His
creature which are very precious. One cannot pay any thing as a
price or cost of body, sight, listening, talking, walking organs and
enjoying the articles gifted by the Almighty God, Man cannot be
able to purchase oxygen, hands legs, eyes, throat, ears and
tongue from market which are given free of cost to His creature.
As the man is a top of his creation must not forget any time any
way and must thank all the times against this God gifts, what the
man is possessing.
The God gifted virtues scientific knowledge and Valuable structure of our body and soul.

A man is super man, but actions are baseless below standard

11. Soul/conscious/spirit mind brain, heart, body.
12. Blood, fluids systems, automatic circulation.
13. Purification splits etc.
14. Oxygen, carbon oxide, bad good smell.
(57)
The blood nurishes our body with the help of heart, purified
with our lungs with organs with which we intake and sterlise by our
kidneys and again sent to our heart almost half of our oxigion we
consumed is used by the soul to work consumed in our skul. The
brain is fixed and balanced with our spine which work under the
command of brain and again controlled our full body including our
head organs again controlling our vains. It is the foundation or
the root of our body and work automatically, nurished by bones
fluide made by our blood. When we fall any where if bleedings
starts and if we press or stop bleeding in any way pressing or
covering the bleeding it stopped automatically the man is saved.
And if our bone is fractured the bone flude, rushes to a braking
place starts repairing our bone and made to stay in required place,
it is joined automatically. This is also an award of God made in our
body.
The blood is pumped and pressed to our brain and then sent
to each and every parts of our body through (blood) vains to nourish our organs such as muscles, bones and even through very
thin (like our hair) blood vains in eyes covered skin lids nourished
it, which is parts of the body.
When we take breath it is used by our lungs to purify blood
with the help of what we intake. About half of the oxygen used by
our brain the rest of the oxygen is purified and accompanied by
the blood to be sent in each place of our body hence we require
blood as well as oxygen for each and every place of our body.
All the work of our machine/body is done and keep it working
by our brain with the help of spine controlled by our vains.
Why a man does not remember Him as if he has not possess
His body to punish in the presence of other people. It is also a pity
of God that He goeson advising us. God seperate for making His
soul to get guidance When required, for making our will power
strong, for doing prayer for self and others creations of Almightily
God. Hence we must remember Him obey him and must work in
his presence and feeling as if the God is inspecting everybody in
every situations. and every work of life to live. We must be very
sincere to make our integrity acceptable to Him. As he is our father and mother at the some time we become careless, ignorant
(59)
but to find Him without self motive. He is all in all and make you
also all in all. Always keep faith in Him. What !even His qualities
and values He is ready to fill in you. You are only to become receptive or receiver. You are also become diverfor attention.
Never think he is bound any of your effort. He can be relised
without any delay , ... In
case you try to meet Him or keep any desire, He may not care
comming but if you do your duty well and never claim, He will certainly be towards you.
Prayer
Prayer is its finest delicacy. Abstract/Him, He will never we isolated. It is accompanied by the holy wealth of life practised. The
pious glow of spiritual human practice advances towards the next
loyal of complete God lives following the devotees consciousness
completely and fully absorbed in spiritual or in true love.
God has heard the prayer as and those are the affected in

all and also wish therefore welfare of all and love to all. The Gurmat

not do any thing wrong to any body.
Trust Shall Prevail
Always thank God for achievement rather to go on demanding
more and more like beggers. Leave desires and expectations. Keep
faith what he has already given, when he goes on giving without
asking as he knows what is in your mind to ask, even then we go
on demanding. Always thanks what He has given. Keep patience,
you will also cirtainly be given against your service to humanity.
Service of Humanity is service of God.
If you are serving sincerely, He will care of you. If you do your
duty without any doubt and with full zeal and faith, certainly God
will bless every thing. After all he is our father & mother also, He
cares without fail. Make relation and connection with Him, He will
definitely give response. Never depend on accumulating money
and matres but qualities must be collected more and more. With-

here, the situation, is different. After remaing slaves accepting the

as the main cause for the miserable plight of the people and firmly
believed that the system had struck at the very root of national life
and was responsible for making the people unable to defend during many crises on their lives, their religion and their land against
invaders.
Guru Nanak was extremely sensitive to the miseries and
wailings of terror-stricken people around him. Referring to the brutalities perpetrated by the hordes of Mughals invading North India
in the 1520s, Guru Nanak said, You did not feel compassion?
You are the creator of all,. If a mighty man attacks another powerful man, then one may not feel any anger or if a mighty tiger falls
on a herd of sheep, then the responsibility lays on the herdsman
the owner.
To free people from religious bigotry, social subjugation and
economic exploitation, Guru Nanak took revolutionarly measures
and laid down the foundation of society, which was egalitarian in
spirit and structure, repudiating the existing customary religious
doctrines. He also took organizational steps in shaping Sikh society on separate ideological lines.
The Guru established Dharmashala in far flung areas, which
became the central places where his followers could meet together
for exchange of views. After completing his missionary tours, Guru
Nanak settled at Kartarpur in Punjab now in Pakistan which became the Central Dharmashala. Here he put his preachings into
practice. So on the 2nd Guru Angad Sahib established Khadoor
Sahib for his preachings. His third successor Guru Amar Das made
Goindwal as the centre of his followers, who gathered there on
two occasions in a year. The centre was later shifted to Amritsar
by Guru Ram Das, the fourth successor of Guru Nanak. Says Latif
(History of Punjab), In founding the town of Amritsar as a centre
spot, the Guru laid the foundation of the future greatness of the
Sikhs as a nation, for they were enabled now to rally at a common
place of worship, conveniently situated both as regards distance
and fertility of land. Amritsar began to be called Guru Ki Nagri, it
acted as Mecca of Sikhs.
Guru Nanak wanted to create separate ideology of Sikhism
that needed continued efforts under the guidance of a true teacher.
In pursuance of this organizational object he selected a worthy
(76)
successor in Guru Angad Dev to lead and continue the movement. The pontification of Guru Angad Dev was of great significance in the evolution of Sikh identity.
Guru Angad Dev decided to propagate this new religion through
the popular medium of Gurumukhi, a language commonly understood by the people. He declared that Sikhism was the religion of
householders, and ascetics had no place in Sikhism. The Sikhs
were thus separated from Udasis and raised above asceticism,
free and fit to follow their course of national progress. Guru Angad
Dev strengthened the institution of Langar (community kitchen)
where people of all caste and creed, high or low, were to jointly
partake food. This institution gained greater significance when it
was made compulsory for any person to first take part in Langar
before he could have been the audience with the Guru. The system created a great sense of equality amongst the people.
The caste ideology had assigned to women, including those
of upper castes, a low social position. A notable aspect of the
social improvement effected by Guru Nanak was the emancipation of women. For him men and women were equal not only before God but also before one another. Why call her bad form
whom are born Kings? said Guru Nanak. Guru Amar Das abolished the custom of Parda and Sati. Some of the Manjis (Preaching Centres) were placed under the charge of women, who participated in equal terms in the Sikh movement. It has been observed
that Guru Amar Das constructed a fence around the plant that
germinated, lest it should be destroyed by the gale of all-consuming existing social practices. The plant got opportunity to grow
and fructify. Guru Ram Das nominated his youngest son, Arjun
Dev, as his successor, Guru Ram Das changed the very character of Guruship. Latif writes, it materially contributed to the growth
of Sikh power, for, henceforth the Guru was looked upon by his
disciples not in the light of a spiritual guide only, but also as a
worldly lord and a ruling sovereign. The Guru became Sacha
Badshah in who was to vest a combination of spiritual and sovereign authority.
According to Jagjit Singh (The Sikh Revolution), the Sikh thesis aimed at total emancipation of man. It did not regard religion
as a ritual or ceremonial obligation, or a mere quest for spiritual
(77)
bliss, which could be compatible with slavery and religious dictation. The gradual build up of morale against the oppressive political authority posed a challenge to the Mughal Empire, which formed
part of political struggle.
As against Akbars religious liberalism, Emperor Jahangir fell
prey to the Revivalist Movement of Islam led by Sheikh Ahmed
Sirhandi of Naqshabandi Order. As recorded in his autobiography, Jahangir decided to put an end to the growing influence of
Sikhism under Guru Arjun Dev, who in turn refused to comply with
the dictates of the Emperor, being opposed to the mission of Guru
Nanak and made the supreme sacrifice of his life.
The martyrdom of Guru Arjun Dev was a turning point in the
Sikh movement, which could be pursued further only with an armed
struggle. This sacrifice prepared the people, who had been coward down by centuries of tyrarnical political domination, for an armed
struggle. Martyrdom of Guru Arjun Dev flared the peaceful hearts
of the Sikhs. It generated the spirit of ordinary people and converted them into great soldiers of the times. According to Hari Ram
Gupta (History of Sikhs Gurus), Guru Arjun set the noblest example of courage and boldness in resisting the wrongs of the
mightiest power on earth, and this sowed the seed which was to
bring rich fruits in due course. The sacrifice gave to the Sikhs a
new line of thought and action.
Before the execution of Guru Arjun Dev, his son Hargobind
had become his successor. Guru Arjun Dev had instructed his son
that he would have to retaliate the tyranny of the Mughal Empire.
Guru Hargobind gaurded himself with two swords one signifying
Miri (temporal power) and the other signifying Piri (spiritual power).
He laid the foundation of Akal Takht The throne of God, and
raised it as the seat of temporal authority, where the Guru discussed with Sikhs the policies in relation to the political situation.
The Guru formulated a policy which was to lead the most downtrodden people to political advancement and thereby created a
revolution in the life of Sikhs. Guru Hargobind demonstrated the
possibilities of Sikhs openly assumeding an attitude of defiance
against the Mughal Government and prepared the way for a climax to be witnessed at the hands of Guru Gobind Singh.

expention of Algebra, Geometry and Arithmetic. Likewise the religious Missionary must has to go through the detailed knowledge
of religion. To Practise the knowledge is very much necessary for
his own practice and teaching to others like Doctors who open
their clinic for practice.
The difference of worldly knowledge like Doctors, Engineer
and of other subjects as the people are needy persons who are to
start their own, business have usually come to learn making practices. But here for missionary who has to go at the door step of the
people who are worried in fears and sorrows or suffering for making them well, treating them for their all pains what so ever mentally or bodily also as our Gurus have done. It has to explain here
that most of the troubles and diseases come from worries, fear,
due to mentally disordes are treated with Gurbani in details.
Medical treatment is also necessary as Satguru Har Rai Ji has
opened specialized Ayurvedic Hospital with him. It is also a fact that
a man may not need such treatment. A man has to act according to
Gurbani teaching just from the beginning of life when he is made
aware from the worldly life. Nothing is left closed and covered in
Gurbani. And also Gurbani contains every solution of the worldly
problems and diseases mentally as well as physically diseases rather
we can be saved from the problem/hurdles to come in future even.
Only we are to go deep of ourselves detailed knowledge of Gurbani
and Gurus lives they have lived. It should be the duty and responsibilities of the religious leaders to make the suitable bold. The missionaries have taken the responsibilities of propagating the religious philosophy in their field. It is the duty of religious managements to make easy arrangement of lively hood for the missionary,
who is to go door to door. It is very much known also to the missionary who is contented and must not compaire with the general public
who are not aware of their desires, needs and expectation. According to the Principles of Gurbani one must have full faith on God who
makes care of our life and needs as if He is our Father. Only we
have become thankless, and leave his finger and accumulate the
material money and luxury items by hook or crock which are not of
our use in actual life and beyond this world.
So we must have to know the importance of remaining in presence of the eyes of kind, great and wonderful All mighty God. And

No more is the teachers task today easy, to define and simplistic to carry out. In the past decade, archaic practice of teaching have slowly been broken down and have been replaced by a
technological revolution that has, on the one hand, reduced the
academic load of teachers but, on the other hand, increased their
conscientiousness. Left on their own it is not easy for youngsters
to get the right perspective on life.
Indeed, averse Dr Indu Singh, Principal of MKP College, The
age of enlightenment and technological progress brought with it
logic, reason and rationality. Technology, too, altered the role of a
teacher. These changes are directly affected the position and role
of a teacher. Class rooms have gone beyond books and blackboards and have become fancier with the advent of the internet,
online books, Google and libraries, etc. These have become open
sources of learning. Teachers no longer are the only sources of
information. Today no more do children hang upon every word of

ity for this lies with teachers. He stressed that childrens happiness is first and foremost lied to the teachers sense of compassions. A kind teacher can make a difficult task feel doable or a dull
subject enjoyable. On the other hand, a cruel teacher can make
life hell for a child, and are indifferent teacher can produce nothing better than indifferent pupils. But what are our school teachers in India like today? Statistic tell us that 1.25 million government
school teachers across the country are absent without official leave
every single day of the academic year without fear of repercussions. These surely reflect on their sense of compassion and sense
of responsibility, he added. Majority of these teachers do not put
their own children in government schools, very well knowing that
their children deserve better than what they themselves can offer
in the government school system. Indifferent, unfeeling unsympathetic teachers can only produce indifferent pupils. Teachers indifference and pupils indifference continue to feed on each other
in circle as has been happening for the past half a century and
more.
Thsepal Z. Kundan, Principal Moravian Institute, seeks to describe the role of school teachers in India today from the point of
view of children and parents, focusing on the state government
schools. He asserts that studies from all around the world show
that children want to be happy at school and greatest responsibil-

Yet this is not all. It is not just about promoting Sikhism. The
hate crimes against Sikhs post 9/11 pained me. Also the fact that
many youngsters think that they do not look smart with a turban. I
Most of the historians of the world agree that the iron of the
sword which was given by Guru Gobind Singh to his Sikhs at the
time of creation of Khalsa on the Baisakhi of 1699 was prepared
by Guru Nanak. The sword was one of the five symbols for observance of the life of a Sikh. Thus, the agreement of the historians
takes us to the beginning of this great religion in 1469 AD. When
Guru Nanak, the First Guru of Sikhs, was born in Talwandi, which
is now known as Nankana Sahib and now is in Pakistan. The social, political and religious condition at that time had decayed to
such an extent that the values like truth, fairness, justice etc. had
(85)
(86)
been vanished or lost The foreign invaders named Babers dominated the political scene which further led to fanaticism and intolerance on the part of the ruling class of Muslims and the Hindus
had to lead the life of inferior citizens indulging in their religious
rites and rituals without knowing its real intent and purpose. Guru
Nanak unfolded the reality that there was no Hindu, no Muslim but
all were the children of the same father, who was alone the God of
everyone. He condemned caste system among the Hindus and
their rituals including the idol worship. Similarly, he criticised the
irreligious and unnecessary formalities of Islam,
1. For the purpose of propagation of his teachings of universal brotherhood and oneness of God, he visited far and wide in all
the four directions by undertaking four journeys popularly known
as Udasies. He spent about 22 years in his missionary travels
and led the life of a house-holder engaged in agriculture at
Kartarpur during the last 18 years of his life. He went to the important shrines of all the religious enlightened people of the true way
of spiritual life. He advocated grahasts, the house-holders life,
as according to him, the path of renunciation and sanyas was the
way of escapism and defeat. Wherever he went, he established
dharmshalas-places apart from being the places for serving the
travellers with food and shelter, became the places of congregation for remembering God. At Kartarpur also, he established a
Dharmashala for this purpose, and whatever his agriculture product was, was shared with others founding there by the tradition of
free community kitchen known as the Sangat and Pangat. Bhai
Lehna who became Guru Angad, the second in the line of Guru
Nanak?
2. Guru Angad occupied the throne of Gurgaddi in 1539 and
continued to propagate till 1552, the teachings of his Great Master. He popularised the Gurumukhi Script, collected useful information regarding Guru Nanaks life and his purpose of propagation of principles enunciated by his illustrious predecessor. He
strengthened the tradition of Langar by making people of different casts to sit on one and the same platform and partake meals
together. At his headquarters at Khadoor, he also started rural
sports and games with a view to keep the physical fitness of the
young people. For the spiritual benefit of one and all, he followed
(87)
the example of his Master and nominated his successor, the person who was not his son but the best of his followers, named Amar
Dass, who became the Third Guru of the Sikhs in 1552 AD.
3. Although, Guru Amar Dass was 73 years old when he ascended the spiritual throne, he acted vigorously in the propagation of Sikhism. He established 22 organizers which meant the
division of the spiritual region into various parts and putting each
such part under the charge of a devout Sikh to spread of the
message. The Guru also trained a number of travelling missionaries who was spreading the message of Sikhism in various parts of
the Country With a view to bring Sikhs together on certain occasions, special assemblies were held at the headquarters of Guru
Amar Dass, Goindwal Sahib, a place situated on the banks of river
Beas to mark such festivals as Diwali, Baisakhi and Maghi.
Whereas, the followers of Sri Chand, son of Guru Nanak were
advocating the renunciation of home, by following their Udasy
Sect. Guru Amar Dass emphasised upon the hose-holders life,
as the three golden principles of Sikhism were remembrance of
God (Nam Japna), Sharing of Food (Wand Chhakna) and income
by honest earnings (Dharam Di Kirat). The tradition of Langar
had become so strong in the time of Third Master that even Emperor Akbar had to sit along with others for partaking Langar. In
this way, the distinction between man and man on the basis of
Caste System was done away with. Being a social reformer, Guru
Amar Dass, following in human life, criticised Sati Movement and
also advocated widower marriage. He got constructed a Bowly at
Goindwal as to provide his followers a place for congregation. He
strengthened the feeling of universal brotherhood by praying to
God.
4. The next in line Guru Nanak was Guru Ram Dass whose
earlier name was Bhai Jetha Ji. Looking at his dedicated service
for the Langar and the construction of Bowly, Guru Amar Dass got
his daughter, Bibi Bhani, married to him and thereafter he became
Ram Dass. Considering him the best disciple, he was given
Guruship when he was 40. He continued the missionary work and
sent Masands (Religious Preachers) to different parts of Northern
India for the purpose of propagation of Sikh Religion. The land
which Emperor Akbar had given to Bibi Bhani was developed to
(88)
become a great centre of worship for the Sikhs. It was the fourth
Master who founded the new city at this place, earlier called Ram
Dass Pur. A large number of traders were invited to settle down in
this City, which later on became to be called as Amritsar. Guru
Ram Dasss contribution to Sikhism also consists of his compositions as are enshrined in Ai Granth 31 Ragas. He composed
Lavaan, which are now recited for performing a Sikh marriages.
He made four holy stanza the spiritual discipline for a Sikh by composing to follow hymns.
5. Guru Arjun, the Fifth Guru of Sikhs was the youngest son
of Shri Guru Ran Dass, whom he also considered as his Master.
When he ascended the spiritual throne, he justified the action his
father in bestowing Gurgaddi upon Guru Arjun by giving the Sikhs
the sacred temple. He prepared sacred book, called at that time,
Pothi Sahib. He developed Amritsar as a Centre of Industry and
Culture and imparted secular spirit by getting the foundation of
Harimandir laid down by a Muslim divine Sai Mia Mir. This temple,
built on the lower level then the surrounding land, in the middle of
a beautiful tank, originally called Harimandir, came to be known as
Golden Temple after it was decorated by gold plating during the
reign of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It was not only the trade and commerce centre which flourished between Sikhs and Afghani during
the period of Guru Arjun, the spiritual gatherings were also increased under his spiritual influence and guidance. Gurus growing power and prestige roused in the reigion of jealousy of Emperor Jahangir. When the Pothi Sahib containing hymns of first
Five Gurus and a large number of saints of Medieval India was
completed and installed at Harimandir in 1604, a large number of
devotees including Muslims increased to such an extent that
Jahangir is decided to put an end to this influence. There were
other reasons also which led the martyrdom of Guru Arjun, but it
was ultimately the emperor under whose orders the Guru was made
to sacrifice his life with perpetrated tortures like throwing of burning sand, sitting on a hot plate and in boiling water etc. Guru Arjun,
treating it as will of God, accepted the tortures in a spirit of recognition. Thus, with his martyrdom, a new spirit was infused among
the Sikhs with the starting of the tradition of martyrdom and, in the
words of Shri Gokal Chand Narang. The whole Punjab starting
burning with vengeance.
(89)
6. There was a turn in the events when Guru Arjuns successor, his only son, Hargobind became the Guru. Guru Hargobind
did not change the basic policy of spiritualism, but realised the
need of protecting the peaceful and spiritual people from the tyranny and oppression of the Mughal Kingdom and for that purpose
combined the concept of Bhagti and Shakti. Emperor Jahangir out
of old jealousy put him to prison at Gwalior, MP but later on, realising
his mistake and the intentions of those who were against the house
of Guru, released Guru Hargobind and with that the relations between emperor Shahjahan, which were worn by the Guru time.
The Gurus action in carrying two swords, one of spiritual power
Peeri, and the other of Military power-Meeri, marked a turning
point in the Sikh History. But the task of spiritual preachings did
not lag behind. His two successors, Guru Har Rai and Guru Har
Krishan also continued to preach the teachings of the Great Masters. The Ninth Guru Teg Bahadur was disclosed by one Bhai
Makhan Shah, a devout Sikh, who had gone to Bakala for this
purpose. Guru Har Krishan, before leaving his worldly life, had
indicated the presence of his successor by saying Baba Bakale.
Thus, Bhai Makhan Shah was able to discover the Guru who was
destined to become the second Guru Martyr after Guru Arjun.
7. Guru Teg Bahadur travelled extensively to Eastern India
for the purpose of propagation of Sikh Religion. When, ultimately,
he settled at his headquarters at Anandpur Sahib, some Kashmiri
Pandits approached him for saving their religion and lives from
the cruelties of Aurangzeb, who was bent upon to make every
Hindu a Musalman. When Guru Teg Bahadur came to someone
who could make a sacrifice, it was Gurus son, Gobind Rai, who
pointed out that Guru Teg Bahadur could only be that great soul
who could give such a sacrifice. When Guru Teg Bahadur went to
Delhi in support of the cause of the Hindu Religion, the fanatic
ruler ordered him to either become Muslim or be prepared for the
death. The Guru accepted the martyrdom as a result of which he
was beheaded at Chandni Chowk, Delhi.
8. It was at this stage of Sikh History that Guru Teg Bahadurs
only son, named as Gobind Rai, took the charge of Gurgaddi at
the tender age of 9 only. He could foresee the difficult times which
were to come because of the strength of the Mughal imperialism
(90)
and as such accepted the same as a challenge and started training his disciples in the art of warfare. His unique decisions of creating the Khalsa and installing the Adi Granth, as a permanent
Guru of the Sikhs, made the Sikh religion a great and unique religion of the world. His decision to challenge the imperialism of the
ruthless rulers led to the downfall of the so-called great Mughal
Empire. His achievements as literary genius can be written in volumes and volumes. He was a literary joint and patron of poets. His
administration of Amrit to his followers in Baisakhi in 1699 A.D.
provided such a strength to them that they became a terror for all
imperialists, anti-national and anti-human forces. The Guru considered the entire humanity creation of one Supreme Being, and
as such he was not against any particular religion or a class of
people. He was only against those who committed atrocities on
the helpless, weak and God loving people. In short, his overall
achievements in 42 years of his life are such that there is no other
comparable example in the history of the world.
(8) CAPTURE OF MALTAN FORT (PAK)
During an attack by the Sikh forces of Maharaja Ranjit Singh
on the fort of Multan which was strong fortified, one of the wheel of
cannon came off. The Sikh soldiers held the cannon on their shoulders one by one, even if they fell after every short. Their unique
sacrifice was not gone in vain as the battle was ultimate be won.
same the scene was repeated at the time of Pakistan war 1965,
when the tanks following from a tunnel near Ichhogil Canal were
lining in front of Indian forces, The soldiers laid one by one with a
grenade and lost their lives, with the result the battle was won.
There is nothing wrong in promoting the wearning of turban
for everyone as it gives a dignified look and is a part of our rich
Indian culture and tradition they used to wear turban on wedding
care honeys, kirias and other religious ceremonies, All the kings
of states in India used to wear turban at the time of taking thrones
retrospect while weaning turban as, they are being made like king
that is a great respect.

(9) A WISE PHYSICIAN COMPREHENDS BOTH THE
DISEASE AND TREATMENT ALSO.
To day so called usually spiritual masters are unaware of disease and treatment both and go on giving prescription like RMP
doctors. We have neither proper Hospitals nor any research is
being done on spiritual problems. Hence peace of mind is going
on disturbed almost of every person. It is also true the right religious physicians are not available in the world. This is why the
research work on spirit, soul is not being done by the true masters. The action, behaviour or work are the main factor from where
a man is adjudged true, sincere and loyal. His integrity, intension,
emotion and self thoughts are kept under observation and we
become doubtful for him. This is the main problem amongst positive thinking. The solution lies in right thinking of building character and behaviour of the mankind of our nation.
It is necessary and urgent also to make the country strong.
The peace and prosperity is required for the nation to build strong.
The nation can be known from the people they live there. Humility
and humanity comes only when people become sincere, responsible and be aware of about their duties.
The system of exaction needs lot of changes providing moral
education and divinity to the students in schools and college level.
Here in India all sorts of education is given how to accumulate the
money, power, materials for luxurious life living. But peace can
never replace any thing else of name and fame.
The hard and honest earning is considered the thought of
past. The intellectuals and intelegensias must think and suggest
to the government to impart the life and history of such a pure
people from whose teaching we can make our coming generation
educated. Our last president Smt Pritbha Patil and formar. President Shri Abul Klam had already given the guide lives in their
speeches. But question lies who will bell the cat. Our burocrates
(92)
(93)
(94)
and political leaders are so selfish and oppurtuntunist , they generally avoid as the character and moral values are the interruption in their way of life living of grandness.
Now this responsibility falls on our Hon. P.M. to put the educational Minister in task or our general public be made aware and
unite for this noble cause.
Hence the qualitative education system and syllabus be provided as per-requirement of making the country strong and loyal.
If the sincere efforts and work be made done, in priority bases,
the morbolous change can be brought in the behaviour of the
people otherwise it will be very late. Our conscious will not allow us
to live peacefully.
Sincerity and integrity are important rathes popularity. To build
history is better than to. Write or to leach. We must make our
serveses as an example for others.

CHAPTER NO 4
(1) HOW WILL POWER BECOMES STRONG
A man can easily know about spiritual power. Also he can make
difference in illusion power and with his intlect, but he may use it
or not. Usually a man becomes powerful for luxury life and makes
much unfair means. But without sin and vice one can never accumulate much of money and also no one can take the money when
he leaves this world. It is universal truth as declared by Guru Nanak.
pwpw bwJhu hovY nwhI, muieAw swiQ nw jweI] (m.1/417)
With ignorance a man says money is power as he uses it for
name and fame and earns his lust and luxurious life. Knowingly
that cruel kings Harnakash, Rawana, Sikandar, Babar and
Arangzeb could not take all the money. All they have lost their
kingdoms with repentness
Hence as the real power is to know abut conscence, hard and
honest earnings and morality which get along last of life. He who is
aware of such knowledge and use his inflect to know the pros and
cone of life of luxury and virtues. But first and top most task is to test
with spiritual mind and then should the discerison and select our
way of life. As living the religious life, one earned full faith on God
and also the gifts already given or deposited for our future life not
next era life but present time to come. A human life is also a gift of
God to understand with patience, love, service of the humanity.
Hence his soul guides us the right direction we are is to move but
only when a man can listen and know the voice of soul, the Gods
power already given to a man. The man can do tremendous task
and able to use his power and money by remaining under soul. It is
also required for us to be strong mentally, and to act on religious
philosophy what the Guru has gifted to a man. One must be power
full with saint and soldier life as well. Please consider to know both
the powers of virtues and vices, morality and corruption, values of
illusion properly and thoroughly, then only you can decide how to
live long or live in the eyes of All mighty God.

It is an earnest and heartiest appeal to bring religions leaders to come for ward to teach the truth, sacrifice, justice, rights of
humanity with their practical experience of coming for ward, and
sacrificing their lives if they want to serve the God service of humanity is servicing God. This vanished life does not last long let
our lives be sacrificed with solving the major problem of egotism to
become a Lord. Our Lord is only and soul god. No one should
compare himself with almighty lord who incapable to make a lowest of low to king and a would kingdom can ruin in no time.

Let us put to teach the character, loyalty, love, service to

Let us again make one schole of thought of one object of bringing peace in the world.
(3) LET US EXPERIENCE THE UNIVERSE WITHIN
A DISCOURSE BY BABA RAJINDER SINGH
(99)
Nanak, reaffirmed by his successor Guru, Arjun Dev, when he compiled the so called Pothi Sahib (now known as Sri Guru Granth
Sahib) and affixed his signature therein. In order to understand
the significance and the process of evolution of this term one needs
to parse the term first.
(102)
(103)
(104)
(106)
where he lives, where he goes, etc. His parents choose his school,
what he reads, what he watches; they choose to teach him customs, if any, etc. As he grows and comes of age, he begins to
choose his own friends, his own classes, his own social activities,
or his own profession.
Nevertheless, one cannot deny that his fundamentals come
from his parents choices. They paved the way for him. His own
present and future choices will always be affected by the choices
made for him in the past by his parents. We were once a clean
slate upon which our elders left their impressions. Our choices
are hence greatly influenced by what they chose to do, say and
show to us.
Great pity for those parents who have made poor choices for
their children make poor choices for themselves. And great honour
to those parents who have made excellent choices for their children and have inculcated in their children the ability to make worthy choices for themselves.
Looking back into our history, one feels pity for the mother of
the Kauravas and regard for the mother of the Pandavas. Once
feels pity for the father of Aurangzeb and reverence for the father
of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Looking at today, its shameful to see how parents teach their
children to steal, to lie, and to cheat others. Their choices are
ruining the lives of their children, who in turn will make choices to
ruin the lives of others.
We can halt this domino effect, however, if we make decisions
with a mid instilled with wisdom. Wisdom is beyond the intellect
and the emotions. Wisdom produces Freedom. And a free mind,
liberated from petty thoughts, negativities and ego, can make the
best choices.
Our choices are the woven into the fabric of our lives. Choice
is a critical component of our existence. Our pick of lifes options
form the course of our days, weeks, months, years and our entire
existence. If our choices are weak, even alight tug on the fabric
will produce a tear. If our choices are strong, even excessive pulling and wringing will not ruin the fabric.
(108)
tion. The inner spark through the voice of conscience always exhorts us to attain the inexhaustible source of bliss. Until we learn
to live life absorbed in divine consciousness, nothing can ever
give us peace of mind. Attaining this state does not mean, however, that we should necessarily retire to the Himalayas. While
living a householders life, the goal is attainable.
Remember, there is no other quality so essential to success of
any kind as the quality of perseverance. It can overcome everything even nature. Our level of persistence needs to be so high
that it does not allow our energy or enthusiasm to be dampened
by the discouragement that must inevitably come while pursuing
the goal.
Always tell yourself that our greatest weakness lies in giving
up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more
time. When faced with despair, tell yourself the following words of
Thomas Edison Nearly every man who develops an idea works
on it up to the point where it looks impossible, and then gets discouraged. Thats not the place to become discouraged. Instead,
persevere to attain the goal, for a steady and steadfast drive wins
the race ultimately.
Never let fear or doubt enter your mind. Tell yourself that great
works are performed not by men of strength but by men ot perseverance. With extraordinary perseverance, even a man of ordinary talents sails through and reaches his destination. Often people
give up when they have almost reached the goal; while others,
attain victory by exerting inner strength, at the last moment, more
vigorously than ever before. A classic example of winning against
all odds is that of Helen Keller who often said, We can do anything we want to if we stick to it long enough.
It is quite natural to encounter defeats on the path. No need to
get disheartened because the human spirit is never finished when
it is defeated; it is finished when it surrenders. History shows that
the most notable winners also encountered heart-breaking obstacles before they triumphed. They won because they refused to
get discouraged by their defeats.
Have we not seen the drops of rain making a hole in the stone?
They succeed in doing so, not by violence, but by falling again
(110)
and again. Thus, great things are not done b impulse, but by a
series of small attempts brought together. The Holy Quran says,
God helps those who persevere.
All of us have good and bad luck. The man who persists
through bad luck is the man who is there when good luck comes
and is ready to receive it. You are not defeated until you admit.
The moment you admit, you are down and out.
(7) RITUALS GET US NOWHERE-UNDERSTANDING CAN
(Gurcharan Singh Jaito)
The relation between the Guru and follower is based on knowledge and devotion. If a follower cannot gain knowledge from his
Guru or the Guru is not able to impart, then there cannot be any
relationship/devotion worth consideration. No devotion can be
achieved through rituals, as certain people seem to believe.
Practicing such exercises/ so called meditations through which
one has to punish the body through useless rituals like Yog
Sadhna, observing fast eating no food or drink no water, Tapas
to sit in a circle lit with fires around with high temperatures during summer, or during extreme winters sit naked in a prearranged
place, under a stand on which a pitcher is kept with a hole a in the
bottom, so that a stream of cold water is continuously pouring on
the persons head, sitting under. The pitcher is kept full by pouring
water in the pitcher by his followers. No one can attain salvation,
through such practices.
Further, certain faiths follow continuous readings of certain
scriptures recited/sung loudly by the priests, which are not understood by those who sit and listen in blind faith, carry no meanings
or effect.
Throughout the world intellectuals have accepted that Gurbani
(GURU GRANTH SAHIB) has teachings based on sound logic and
one can search and find solutions for the worldly problems. Gurbani
states:
(111)
(The Word, the Bani is Guru, and Guru is the Bani. Within the
Bani, the Ambrosial Nectar is contained. If His humble servant believes, and acts according to the Words of the Gurus Bani, then
the Guru, in person, emancipates him).
The above Hymns are sacred and self-explanatory. But certain
so-called saints had been propagating that there is no need to
understand Gubani. They preach that keep reciting certain Hymns
and the problems would be solved. This illusion affects man and
man Sikh followers keep repeating the rituals without understanding the pious and simple Hymns of Gubani, which states:
(Listen, O Saints; listen, humble Siblings of Destiny: the Guru
raises His Arms and sends out the call. If you long for everlasting
peace and comfort for your soul, then enter the Sanctuary of the
True Guru).
This sanctuary of the True guru is to understand Gurbani in
real sense.
But for those who get in to the net of misunderstandings/rituals, for them too Gurbani States:
(The wretched fools do not know the Lords Will; the y wanders
around making mistakes.
They go about their business stubborn-mindedly; they are disgraced forever and ever.
Inner peace does not come to them; they do not embrace love
for the True Lord)
Those who insist on carrying out rituals and are far away from
the teachings of Gurbani for them Gurbani states:
Punjabi ch type karlo
Those who act stubborn-mindedly are destroyed.
Wearing all sorts of religious robes, they do not please the
Lord.
Tinged by corruption, the earn only pain; they are immersed in
pain.
(112)
ban having a long beard and wearing a Kirpan over his shirt looking similar to a terrorist (According to the definition of the Central
Government of India, 1980s). After a while, one local train arrived, which was totally packed.
The Sikh youth tried to board the train but failed t do so. Just
then, a teasing voice was heard from the back coach, SARDAR JI
BARAH BAJ GAYE (Sir, it is 12 oclock!). The young Sikh youth
looked at the voice maker who was a young mischievous type of
person. Instead of showing any anger, the Sikh smiled pleasantly
at him. The smile was puzzling and it seemed some sort of truth
lies behind it. Not able to resist my temptation, I walked towards
him and asked why he smiled back at the person who is tormenting him. The Sikh youth replied He was not teasing me but was
ASKING FOR MY HELP. I was surprised with his reply, and he
informed me that there is an important history behind that remark
of - 12 oclock, which one should know. I was eager to learn and
the Sikh youth Narrated:
During the 17th Century, when Muggles Muslims ruled India,
the Hindu people were humiliated and treated like animals. They
treated the Hindu women as their personal property and were forcing Hindus to accept Islam and even used to kill the people if they
refused to do so. At the time, our ninth Guru, Sri Guru Teg Bhadar
Ji came forward, in response to requests by Kashmiri Pandits
(Chaste Hindus) to fight against these cruel activities. Guru Ji informed the Muslim emperor that if he succeeded in converting him
to Islam, then all Hindus would accept the same fate, but should
he fail to do so, he should stop all these activities.
(113)
(114)
(9) SARDARJI KE BARAH BAJ GAYE
(Oh Sikh! It is 12o clock)
came forward to claim his body even, fearing that they too would
be assassinated.
and Humanity. Nobody can fight and win against them, no matter
what the odds.
Can anybody lay down his life and that too for the protection
of another religion? This is the reason they are still remembered
as Hind Ki Chhadar, (Shield of India). Seeing this incident our
tenth Guru Ji, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji (Son of Guru Teg Bhadar
Ji), founder of Khalsa, made a resolution that he would convert his
followers to Lions, create such fearless human beings, who would
not hide themselves and could be easily located in thousands,
hence the relevance of the beard and turban, so that they would
face the enemy like men (presence of beard). When Muslims would
attack villages and kill Hindu men, to eliminate the Hindu religion
from the face of the earth, instead of fighting back, the parents
would put ear-rings on male babies, so they would be identified as
female. We see old aged people still carrying on this tradition.
In 1799, amazingly, again even though the Sikh army was greatly
outnumbered, Punjab was taken over by the Sikh commander
Ranjit Singh and with that came an end to the Mughal tyranny
over Punjab. Under his rule, there was prosperity and peace
amongst Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims. The enemies, who were then
afraid of Sikhs, have spread the words that at 12 oclock, the Sikhs
got out of their senses. We always hear Sikhs are hot tempered
and violent but the truth is they have the genes of warriors and
they spent centuries fighting for not only their own religion but
other religions as well. If it were not for the Sikhs, today India would
be a country belonging to the Arab world. The Pakistani and Middle
Eastern writers have confirmed this in their writings. Me being a
Hindu, I realized that Sikhs are born warriors, and true Sikhs are
out to help others and they are very patriotic to Humanity and
their Land. The Sikhs today, are still the Steel Barrier in the Indian
Military build up, no one can argue that. We see their faces in all
frontline postings as the MIGHT of Indian defence. But, what are
we all doing to these great Saints and Soldiers?
Sikhs were very few in number and were greatly out numbered
as they fought the Muslim armies that had tens of thousands of
soldiers. At that time, Nadir Shah raided Delhi in the year 1739
and looted India with unit fear. He carried many treasures and
enslaved nearly 2,200 beautiful Hindu women along with him. The
news spread like fire and was heard by Sardar Jassa Singh who
was the Commander of the Sikh army at that time. He decided to
attack Nadir Shahs caravan at mid-day on the same day. He did
so and rescued the Hindu women who were safely sent back to
their homes.
This not only happened once but regularly, and whenever
Abdaalis or Iranis attacked India braves, although few in numbers
would attack them at mid-night, 12 oclock and rescued the Hindu
women. Although the Mughals (Muslims) kidnapped Hindu and
even Sikh women, no Muslim women were harmed in revevge by
the Sikh army. After that time when similar incidences occurred,
people started to contact the Sikh army for their help and Sikhs
used to attack cIk iciGAwVw the raiders at Mid-night, 12 oclock.
When the raiders would be attacked, to raise the threat, they would
yell day, nearly at 12 oclock, it is very difficult to fight against
Sikhs as the Sikhs get some Extra Power to save Religion, Nation

(10) MIND & SOUL FORCES
1. Force of mind : You must take in your mind what is the force
working behind the mind. Now your brain work for the force and
that is soul which is very power full and get connected with supper
soul that is of God, There is no problem or no question in this
world which have no solution of it, time may take more or less.
Intellectuals say Nothing is difficult our thinking make it so, and
Every thing can be achieved if you want. Necessity is the mother
of invention you must have heard:
2. Soul : Now one will ask what is the soul, what is the supper
soul and where these stay. How to find them and why to find ?The
purpose of life for comming over in this world. It is very easy to
know. Who is making these questions and why ? What will happen
if solution is found. People also say Eat drink and be marry. Will
the purpose of life is solved with this ? Will there be no problem or
question come across their life who act like this. The answers are
where is no and never rather one invites more problems like sorrows, sufferings worries and fears even.
3. God made us Complet : Now we are to think about soul and
supper soul and about mind and body. Our God has made or
produced a man with complete satisfactions in his mind and body.
It is very easy rather the easiest way to stay in bodily form to find
the solution of each and every question by having the blessing of
the supper soul between the all living lives. Since He thus of Him
self stays in body as soul to lead the right way and the mind to
work under the supervision of soul or spirit. The mind has enjoyed
many body lives contains many thoughts good and evils, virtuous
and vices. It can become pure if it becomes used to in listening the
voice of soul. Then there will be a no distance remained between
mind and soil. This is the purpose of a man to come in this world.
Question arieses, how to become one as the sun and rays are the
same. Now a man will never come again and again. It is also has to

facts and principles through their parents teachers and preachers must be known and practised among the people.
Because good people are very much prepared to bear/tolerate such sufferings and sorrows. Also they become example for
those who are unable to face such circumstances. All people used
to remain in comforts and become habitual of being in pleasure.
The fact is also the blessings of God for those to whom He wants
to bring nearer and they are very much dearer to Him. They have
to bear many hurdles and cross obstacles in other sense all people
who have to face one feel the difficulties can make a balance of
mind by watching the great persons in hardship of so called pain
and sorrow. It may be mentally badly pairfull
with pleasure, may be a good or bad for us. Nothing is worst. The
doctor has to use knife to cut the injurious portion of our body so
that the disease may not spread further. Is he not to be supposed
to kind enough ? He must be kind since we have given his fees
sufficient even then he has to do his work of his own way he likes,
he is not our enemy. So same the case of our Dr. God.
The mother gives a slap to her son if he abuse and many
times says, Why dont my son dies ? But she also take care well
and she doesnt mean to keep you get die his son in trouble. Only
we feel sorrow or pleasure for God, mother and doctors do not
have to keep us in Pains. They do their own job just to get realized
us and make us better to recognize the situation as if a human
being. The God and great men remain in balance position and
want the people also to remain and live balanced life even if they
are to cross pains and pleasures. The God prepares us for little
pain for horror stage to come. The climax of tolerance of good
people must have used to bear of doing good, sincere and honest
worker. They are prepared a light house for others who may go
after their footprints and may learn to remain in balance throughout the life they lives.
The above expressions are made in the light of Gurbani and
may appeal to the readers who have been satisfied for their question : Why the good or loyal people happen to face bad and even
worst situations ? There are many examples and persons in the
history and from those people we can learn to live a balanced life.
Thanks for putting this question to answer for thinking the
people so that they can make their brain a furtile for future happenings.
Above views are expressed against the question asked by a
great philosopher Khushwant Singh to Tribune Why do bad things
happen to good people ?

We can never make Him great or small with our praise as he is
already a great possessing morbolous power He has produced in
Himself and command staying in us in a shape of soul.
He is one and only one have power to watch us. He him self

quality of being one remains for ever. We can make our-selves
valuable only with the union in Him. We are always zero or nothing.
He has no fear as none is greater to Him one cannot. His creature remains under his ordinance, action and in all situation. He

He never frightened any body but if a man makes any wrong.
He makes us to put in task, Teach us a lesson first as a doctor

To make Him known or relised or understood we have to make

Way of life in the light of Sikhs how and why the system of
selection can replace election for the welfare of the people were
given and whole of Khalsa has to follow those decision.
Suppose most and majority of the people are corrupt, mischief or beliefless certainly the superemo will be from those who
are electing their leader. That is why our election system is being
failed and we are unable to produce /give loyal leaders to the
Nation. So any body may select any body to make next good team
after the selection and consultation with others intellectuals loyal
and sincere personalities be brought to Govern. However the reform, change and improvement can be produced in this system to
bring good moral loyal leaders.

True & perfect persons representation is required. Why &how
? In the light of Sikh way of life right from Guru Nanak to Guru

CHAPTER NO 5
(1) THE GRACE OF GURU GRANTH SAHIB.
Here is the solution of getting peace in serving Humanity. Forgetting personal selfish motive and live like one community. Give
love to all as if God has given you all blessings of untillities.
As we have our common father almighty God. Think this simple
philosophy and theory. We must give thanks for the gifts given by
the God. The beautiful body of man is a big gift with so many other
things to enjoy. Lot of other facilities to know, bestowed us like
luxery life to live also are given by the God with this Kind rap. The
mind and brain we possess can never be brought from the market. For this we have become the top of his creations. The creator
is great we must thank with our every breath, gifted by God being
greatful
There are many challenges, we must accept with pleasure.
We can be able to find and make our mind able to stay with challenges as we are preparing ourselves for a big challeng. So remain on shelter of God, Guru and must use intlect given by Him.
Depend on one Lord, one Guru and one community human beings of. God and serving them with full zeal
(129)
What they have said and preached the views of one school
of thought for common man/people to the general.
They have a views of that soul, which has no shape, no cast,
no name no fear to come in birth or death circle. The soul has
direct connection with the Almightily God. It will definitely emerge
in God one time may just after years later.
The soul has no sufferings, sorrows, pains and worries. It is
the mind or body which suffer and bear pain or other difficulties.
However the soul always remain in contact and in service to
guide the mind and due to mind the body works moves in right
direction. When mind accept the order and listen the soul, the
mind also become one is the same and make the body is not to
come again and again. Then is this even, there are no worries,
sufferings become the soul, of God who always helps the man
in difficulties.
Hence the soul of our a body emerges in God. It is not necessary for the God to keep much experienced soul for ever He
sends with responsibilities for the service of mankind. Such serving souls always remains in the ordinance of God all the times
and sure to be called them at any time to emerge with Himself.
Normal souls come again and again with a mind who has to
make the account of deeds of body through his mind.
If by good luck the mind repent of his doings the chance is
given by the Mercy God or to give pardon to all mans deeds. It is
(130)
at His disposal to say well come to emerge such soul also for
ever but such cases come very rare.

Respected Sir,

(134)
Even when one chooses to withdraw from the world and concentrated within, the world may still interfere with ones spiritual
pursuit. In that case, one has two choices. One may run away
from the world i.e. renounce the world. It is the way of nivirti or
renunciation. Alternatively, one may choose to become so strong
that no one dare interfere with his spiritual pursuits.
The Khalsa outlook of spirituality considers both involvement
(pravirti) and renunciation (nivirti) as extremes and advocates
the middle path. The Gurus word affirms:
Involvements as well as renunciation are stubborn obstinacies.
Dharma, somewhere in the middle, stands as the real guide.
(Malar Ki Var: M. 1. p. 1280)
The middle path is : continuing to be in the world but staying
there disattached, just like the lotus flower which grows out of
mud unblemished by it.
The Khalsa point of view, since it does not approve of renunciation, prescribes valour as a safeguard against interference
from others. However, this has to be disciplined valour, compassionate valour and an altruist valour; not one which is self-willed
and tyrant. In this context, the Guru ordains:
You shall not terrorize anyone

Music affects the nervous system and the brain of the man.
Reduction on fatigue, stimulation of the depressed feelings
among the mentally and physically handicapped persons, relieving tension, arousing happiness, courage and energy are
among the psychic effects which music induces.
Music evolves various moods in human beings. It generates
various emotions in the human mind rightly described b John
Dryden in his poem Alexandras Feast or The Power of Music
that music can raise every passion in human mind.
If gymnastics is the training of the body for the sake of mind,
music is a direct training of the mind, intended to temper and
correct the elements of spirit and to elicit the nascent power of
reason but it can give and it is meant to give, right opinion. It is
meant to habituate the young soul, which is still in the stage of
feeling, to feel as it should about such problems as it has to
solve, and in the strength of a feeling ingrained by habit to do as
it ought to do, without knowing the why and wherefore of its action. That is why artistic media are used. The rhythm and the
diction of poetry, the sounds of musical instruments, the shapes
and the colours of the plastic arts appeal to youth in themselves;
and if when they come to youth with their strong artistic appeal
they also carry with them a moral suggestion (such as poetry),
music and statutory, (may all convey), they will insensibly instill
into the young mind, which accepts them for their artistic appeal, a growing love of righteousness.
A child reacts to the lullabies and attracts towards the musical toys as well as the rhythmic syllables or rhythms. He learns
the language by rhythmic verses and songs. One can alleviate
stress, anger, grief, guilt, hatred, rejection, sadness, fear and
anxiety with the help of music. Learning difficulties, behavioural
problems and memory loss are some of the psychological problems which can be sorted out by the help of music. Music plays
a vital role in forensic psychiatry, providing spatial awareness
and in cognitive disabilities.
(137)
A truly whole person is one whos intellectual and emotional responses are normally developed. It is the duty of the
educators therefore to develop the entire range of human capabilities. Our patterns in educations often tend to stress the intellectual and neglect the emotional. The arts, because of their
emotional demands, make a stronger bond between persons
who share the art experience. This is specially so of music which
has long been termed the universal tongue.
Music can soothe the mind, help to develop a wider mental
perspective, comfort the lonely and sick, delight the young, awake
pleasant memories. Hence music affects the human psyche.
Music conveys the ideas of broadening our mind and intellect. It enlightens our soul for realizing the real import and value
of art and life. Music is a system of education as to how to elevate and animate the levels of consciousness.
Michael Bakey, who in 1966 became the first surgeon to successfully implant an artificial heart, is on record saying, creating
and performing music promotes self expression and provides
self gratification while giving pleasure to others.
Music is affine art, because it awakens aesthetic consciousness in the depth of mans mind and bestows on him unbounded
hoy and happiness which enable him to enjoy the intrinsic beauty
of nature and the transcendental calmness of the soul as well.
Among the psychological effects of music, the most pronounced ones are on the behaviour and temperament of the individual. Emotions, feelings and thoughts have been reported to
be greatly influenced by music listening or participation. Joy is
born both in the process of actively participating in music making and in the process of listening to it. Emotional experience
derived from music has a powerful effect on the formation of
ones moral and intellectual outlook. Music activities lead to development of imagination and creative thinking.

ing for something more. That is the charm of life, Dear student,
it is this sentiment of longing that keeps you active and enthusiastic in life. There should always determined to achieve something to look forward to. If you are determined to achieve something in life you can overcome all obstacles.
Determination leads to a spirit of a hard work. Remember,
hard work never gives you a feeling of tiredness of fatigue: this
feeling of fatigue is felt when you are not interested in the job that
you are compelled to do. Otherwise, hard work keeps you mentally and physically active.
Dear Students, the next point that I would like to put emphasis on is physical exercise. You must make a routine of indulging
in some sort of physical activity, it might be a morning walk, morning exercise or to play some game regularly. The thrill of getting
up early in the morning is the charm that can be realized by the
early rises only. Games are not the monopoly of the athletes
only. At young age a human being is very energetic and a game
provides her on opportunity to make use of the physical energy
in the positive direction.
Next is the quality of becoming smart. The smartness that I
refer to is the way of carrying yourself in society. An educated
woman should always make a show of contentment on her countenance. She should have the characteristics of self control and
patience. An educated female should always be ready to meet
everyone in a cheerful and smart manner.
If you want to succeed in life, be sincere in your efforts to
include all these qualities in your personality. Do not let there be
any difference between your words and actions. Pretentiousness and hypocrisy will lead you nowhere in life, and you have to
reach your destination. You must always remember that you
dreams in life.
Man is a social being. So to live in society it is very essential
to have a sense of discipline. Discipline is required at every step
of life. No institution can make progress without discipline. As a
matter of fact, smooth life is impossible without discipline. I will
like to give you an example. When you have been attentively

then to repent no other way you will find to show your face to
Guru and God for escaping to remain un aware the problems
untouched. If will be a pitty to remain without feelings to serve
the Sikh way of life to your own brothers and humanity for which
our Gurus faced many sacrifices and remained in unbaring conditions.

mother of religion.

have a from and appearance of their own. They should have a uniform
of their own. A Sikh among even a thousand non-Sikhs should be immediately and easily recognizable.
Thinking thus, the Guru sent out order that all Sikhs should let
their hair and beards grow their natural length. They should wear turbans and not caps. On one occasion some Sikhs said to the Guru, If
we wear long hair, both Hindus and Muslims will laugh at us and tease
us. The Guru said, I will tell you how to stop them teasing and laughing at you. You should all wear arms. You should, at all times, be ready
to defend yourselves. No one will dare to insult you.
In the beginning of the year 1699 A.D. the Guru sent out special invitations to all Sikhs. They were asked to attend a special gathering. The gathering was to be held on the occasion of that years Baisakhi.
There was a good response to the invitations. As the Baisakhi day
approached, a number of Sikhs began to arrive at Anandpur. They
came from all parts of the World.
The Guru ordered carpets to be spread on a raised piece of open
space A beautiful tent was also set up nearby. At that place now stands
the gurdwara named Sri Keshgath.
One the day just before Bisakhi day, a large open-air gathering was
held at that place. As soon as the morning prayers were over, the Guru
went into the tent. He remained there for some time. The assembled
Sikhs wondered what the Guru was doing inside the tent. He came out
at last. His appearance was altogether different from usual. His eyes
shone like fire. His face was hard-set and red. His naked sword shone
and shook in his uplifted hand. He looked like a warrior about to enter
a battlefield. In a voice as of thunder he said. My dear Sikhs, this
sword of mine wants to taste the blood of a Sikh. Is there any one
among you ready to lay down his life at a call from me?
All wondered on hearing such a strange demand. Is there any true
Sikh of mine among you? Of so, let him give me his head as an offering, as a proof of his faith in me. At last Bhai Daya Ram, a Khatri of
Lahore, rose and said O true King, my head is at your service. Cut it
off from my body and make it lie at your sacred feet.
The Guru took him the arm. He dragged him into the tent. The
Sikhs gathered outside the tent heard from inside the sound of a blow
(150)
of a sword. They heard the sound of a body falling on the ground. They
saw a stream of blood coming from the tent. To appeared that the Guru
had beheaded Bhai Daya Ram.
After a while the Guru came out of the tent. His face was
redder than before. His eyes were red as bllod. The sword in his uplifted hand was dripping with fresh blood. On a loud thundering voice
he called out, Is there another true Sikh ready to give me his gead?
The Sikhs gathered there felt convinced that Guru really meant what
he said. They were convinced that Bhai Daya Ram had been killed.
There was dead silence again. The Guru called once more. There was
no response. He calles for the third time.
On the third call, Bhai Dharam Das, a Jat Sikh of delhi, stood
up and said, O true king ,take my head. Death with your sword will
give me life everlasting.
The Guru caught him by the arm. He dragged him into the
tent. The same two sounds were haerd. The first was that of a blow
with a sword .The second was that of a body falling to the ground. As
before ,a stream of fresh spilled blood issued from the tent. The Sikhs
assembled outside were convinced that Bhai Dharam Das, too, had
been killed .They were all filled with terror. Many of them fled for their
lives.
A short time after, the Guru came out again. He looked fiercer
than before. His face and eyes were redder. Waving his sword above
his head, he called out, It there any other sikh ready to ofter me his
head? I am in great need of the heads of my Sikhs. Be quick,
More and more Sikhs slipped away. The gathering becomr
thinner and thinner. Every fece was pale .All lips were dry. All heads
were lowered. All eyes wer downcast. Some went to the Gurus mother,
mata Gujri, they complained to her against the Guru. He had gone
mad, said thay, He is killing his Sikhs. Remove him from Guruship.
Make a grandson of yours the Guru in his place. She sent a messenger
to him. But he was in no mood to receive or listen to any messenger.
He repeated the call for another head. On the third call bhai Mohkam
Chand, a washerman of Dwarka, stood up and offered his head. The
Guru treated him in the same manner as he had treated the other two.
The same two sounds were heard. A stream of blood was seen coming
(151)
from the tent, So another Sikh has been killed, thought the Sikhs gathered outside.
After a short time, the Guru came out of the tent. In the same
manner as before, he called out for another head. Again there was no
response Some more Sikhs ran away. Other lowered their heads. The
Guru called again, Still there was no response. On the third call, Bhai
sahib Chand, a barber of Bidar, stood up and offered his head. The
Guru treated him in the same manner as he has treated the other three.
The same two sounds wereheard from inside the tent. A fresh stream
of bllod was seem to flow out. so the fourth sikh has been killed,
thought the Sikhs gathered outside the tent.
After a while the Guru again came out of the tent. He was
waving his sword covered with fresh blood. He again called out for
another head. At this, most of the remaining Sikhs ran away from the
gathering. Only a few had the courahe to stay. At first there was no
response. The call was repeated .At last Bhai Himmat Rai, a watercarried of Jagannath, stood up and offered his head. The same treated
him in the same way in which he had treated the other four. The same
two sound were heard from inside the temt, A stream of blood was
seen to flow out. So the fifth Sikh has been killed, thought the Sikhs
gathered outside the tent. How many more will go the same way?
This time the Guru stayed longer in the tent. At last he came
out .He was dressed in bright saffron coloured garments. His sword
was sheathed. His face was beaming with joy and satisfaction. He
was followed by fuve Sikhs dressed wxactly like him. Who were they?
Oh wonder! They were the same who had given their heads to the
Guru! They had been killed! Had they been brought back to life? Their
faces, their dress and their whole appearance were all like the Gurus.
The Guru seated them near himself. Then he said aloud, When
Guru Nanak tested his Sikhs, only one Sikh namely Guru Angad ,stood
the test successfully, Now I have found five Sikhs totally devoted to
the Guru. I am immensely pleased. It is a matter of joy for all of us.
The Sikh faith will grow and flourish for ever. These five are my Panj
piare, my Beloved Five. They are in my from, I am in theirs. They are
one with me. I am in them. They are in me.

Mata Jito ji poured the patashas into the amrit which the Guru
had prepared. He dissolved them in it bu stirring it with the two-edged
sword. Then he stood up, holding the vessel of amrit in his hands. He
made the beloved Five kneel on their left
Knees in the soldierly fashion. He told them to look into his eyes.
He gazad into the eyes of each of them, turn bu turn At the same time
he threw showers, of the baptismal nectar five times into the dear
Ones face. At each shower, He called upon the dear Once to say
alone, Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh. Then the Guru
sprinkled the nectar five times on the Dear once hair and eyes. Then
he said to one of them. Hold the steel vessel in both hands. Drink
some of the nectar. Then pass the backward, in this way, till the whole
of the nectar has been drunk.
As we have seen the beloved Five belonged to different castes.
One of them belonged to a So-called high caste. He was a khatri. The
other four were all from the so-called low-castes-a Jat, a washerman
or calico-printer, a water- carrier and a barber. For such five persons
to drink to drink from the same vessel was an unheard of act anywhere
before in India. It was a revolutionary act. It shocked all who were
proud of their castes.
Then the guru said, Those who take amrit become my lions. I
name then Singhs. Therefore ,the names of my beloved Five will no
longer be Daya Ram Dharam Das ,Mohkam Chsnd, Sahib Chand and
Himmat Rai. Their names will be Daya Singh, Dharam Singh ,mohkam
Singh, Sahib Singh and Himmat Singh. From now on, the names of my
Sikhs will not end in Das, Rai, Ram, Mal or Chand. Theu will all end
in Singh. My Sikhs must always were the following five articles whose
Panjabi names begin with K, namely Kes (uncut hair), kangha (a
comb), Kirpan (a sword),Kachh (a short drawers) and Kara (a steel
bracelet). My Sikhs should practice arms. They should always be ready
to use them for the defence of their prineir faith and their country.
They should not show their backs to the foe in battle. They should
always live and act according to the three golden rules laid down by
Baba Nanak. They should always help the poor. They should always
protect those who seek their protection and help. They should give up
and forget their previous castes. They now all belong to one caste,
namely the Khalsa. They must not take any alcoholic drink or smoke
(155)
They must not eat halal meat, that is, the meat of animals Killed in the
muslim fashion.
They must not worship idols, cemeteries or cremation grounds.
They must not worship gods and goddesses. They should worship and
believe in only one God. They must rise early, three hours before dawn,
bathe, read or recite the prescribed hymus of the Gurus, and meditate
on God. They should be honest and truthful .They should set apart a
tenth of their income for the Gurus cause.
After that the Guru asked his beloved Five to prepare the
amrit as he had done. When it was ready, he stood up before them with
clasped hands. He begged them tm baptize him, to give him the amrit in
exactly the same way as he had baptized them. They were astonished
at the Gurus proposal. They hesitated. But the Guru said, Why do you
hesitate? I have given you my from ,my glory and my appearance. I
name you the Khalsa. The Khalsa is the Guru and the Guru is the
Khalsa. There is no difference between you and me.I am now your
Chela or disciple. Baptize me as I have baptized you make me a Singh
as I have made you Singhs.
The beloved Five obeyed. They baptized the Guru in just the
same way as he had baptized them. His name was made to end in
Singh. It was changed from Guru Gobind Das or Gobind Rai to Guru
Gobind Singh,
The Guru them invited others to take amrit. Thousands of them
were baptized that day. They all become Singhs or the Gurus lions.
The baptismal ceremony was carried on daily for several days.
Thus was born the Khalsa-a nation of saint-soldiers, worshippers of one God, friends and servants of man, and sworn foes of all
tyrants; a brotherhood in which all were to be equal in all respects and
in which all castes were united to form one caste.
(14) SIKH MAKES US ARMS BEND ON TURBAN
Sikhs have for centuries cherished their rich military history.
(156)
Wearing long beards and turbans into combat, they have battled
Mughals in Punjab, Afghans near the Khyber pass and Germans in the
bloody trenches of the Somme.
But when Major Kamaljeet Singh Kaslsi, an American Sikh
raised in New jersey, signed up for the US Army, that tradition counted
for nothing. Before sending him to officer basic symbols of his religion:
his beard, kneelength hair and turban.
In good Sikh tradition he resisted. Armed with petitions and Congressional letters, he waged a two-year campaign that in 2009 resulted
in the granting him a special exception for his unshorn hair, the first
such accommodation to a policy established in the 1980s.
Since then, two other Sikh have won accommodations from
the army. But many others have failed. And so now, as he prepares to
leave active duty,
Major Kalsi, who earned a Bronze star in Afghanistan, is waging a new campaign: to rescind those strict rules that he believes have
blocked of Sikhs from joining the military.
Folks say,if you realy want to serve, why dont you cut your
beard? said Major Kalsi.
We can be Sikhs and soldiers at the same time.
(15) About Sri Guru Granth Sahib
Sri Guru Granth Sahib is a source book, an expression of mans
loneliness his aspiration, his longings, his dry to God and his hunger for
communication with that Being. I have studied the scriptures of other
great religons, but I do not find elsewhere the same power of appeal to
the heart and mind as I find here in these volumes. They are compact
in spitr of their length and are a revelation of the vast reach of the
human heart varying from the most noble conception of God, to the
recognition and indeed the insistence upon the practical need of human
body.
