INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATTERY USE

Attention
It's important to consider that electrolyte is a diluted solution of sulphuric acid: in case of contact with skin,
rinse immediately with lots water.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately than consult a doctor.
Batteries generate flammable gas which , if primed, can cause battery explosion.
Precautions
Installed battery: avoid generating sparks during installation, removal inspection, start-up using jumper
cables and auxiliary battery or devices. Avoid open flames or cigarettes near the battery.
Battery charging: make sure you connect correctly the battery to the charger ( + with + , -with-). Charge in a
well-aired room, without using excessively high currents.
Avoid all sparks, open flames or cigarettes near the battery ;
- don't rest metal tools on the battery;
- Keep everything out of reach of children.
FOR DRY CHARGED BATTERIES
Charging instructions for dry charged batteries:
1.
Remove all plugs, and fill the elements with sulphuric acid for batteries with specific gravity of 1.27 gr/l. (approx. 31 be') at a
temperature of at least 10-15 C, fill untill the level is about 10-15 mm. above top edge of the separators.
2.
Leave battery to soak for about 30 minutes and then tap off, if necessary.
3.
Now battery can be put into use.
4.
We recommend to charge battery for a few hours especially if the vehicle will not be regularly
used and the outside
temperature been lower than O C. Charging is to be made at the rate of 5-10 Amps. for lorry-tractor batteries, having a
capacity up to than 100 Ah. and at the rate of 10-20 Amps. for lorry-tractor batteries, having a capacity over 100 Ah. When fast
or booster charging, time can be reduced to 20-30 minutes. In this case temperature must not exceed 45-50 C.
Control this, stopping charge or reducing charging rate as required.
Periodically check battery liquid level, filling with distilled water if necesssary.
Never add sulphuric acid.
Deteriorated battery getting rid: lead-batteries have to be getting rid, suitable to specific rules in force.

4.4.

RESIDUAL RISKS WARNING

Never exceed max. working pressure showed on proper technical schedule,

check this using the manometer mounted on pump.
It's possible the forming of leaks that let the high pression liquid come out
from pump-body.

During drawbar mounting, avoid damages due to drawbar fall.

When motorpump is running , stay away from high temperature elements

even if they are provided with protections (manifold and exhaust silencer)
because protections temperature can cause scalds.
Also stay away from the other motorpump parts that even if working at
lower temperatures, can equally cause scalds.
