Findings
1. As Compare to Kotak Securities, Karvy is one of the well-known name among
investors and most of them wanted to invest with the Karvy Stock Broking Ltd.
Compare to Kotak Securities.
2. Only 48% of the sample size have investment options knowledge available in the
market and most of them are from Kotak Securities and Other Stock Broking
companies.
3. Comparing an investment options most of the individuals like to invest in the Banks
FDs and Mutual Funds as compare to Stock Markets.
4. After a research we found that most of the investors invest only for good and high
returns as compare to liquidity and safety.
5. Large amount of general public has fear in their mind regarding losses in share
market.
6. On the basis of sample size we can say that only 36% of investors have proper
knowledge about stock market.
7. The 48% of investors have their Demate account with Kotak Securities, while 52% of
Investors are having Karvys Demate account.
8. 35% of Investors agreed that Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. Has a good broking charges,
while Kotak Securities charges quite higher.
9. 32% of the Investors agreed that Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. Provide valuable services,
while 22% agreed that Kotak securities is an better option and rest are in favor of
other broking companies.
10. Services includes Broking charges, advices, research and morning moves provided by
Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. is quite accurate compare to Kotak Securities.
11. Broking Companies generally tie-ups with other companies too for investments, in
this Context 56 % of investors are in favour of Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. And 44 %
are with Kotak Securities.
12. Karvy stock broking ltd. is one of the oldest broking house but has low goodwill
compare to Kotak Securities.
13. Karvy stock broking has less number of branches and offices in rajasthan states
compare to Kotak Securities.
14. In maximum cases I, found that client with higer amount of holdings prefer Kotak
Securities because of its goodwill and fame.
15. Karvy Stock Broking Ltd has maximum tie ups with other investment companies
compare to Kotak Securities, but Kotak Securities Products are much profit giving
compare to Karvy.
16. Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. Focuses on investors to invest in equity compare to debt
products, while in the case of Kotak Securities its vice-versa.

Conclusion
In the current scenario, investing is very important and investing in stock markets is a major
challenge faced by professionals, initially people bear heavy losses due to recession and
various scams in the stock market which has given a negative outlook to investors regarding
stock market and in turn has shaken the faith of investor in this particular avenue. Another
reason for low investment in this sector is risk associated with constant fluctuations in share
prices of top companies and lack of assured returns.
At this phase of recovery, market comprise of both bullish as well as bearish investors who
prefer investing in this market either through online or offline mode as per their convince and
ease.
As per the analysis of my study, every investor either opt for online mode or offline mode and
their preference is backed by certain reasons.
The investors at Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. Wants to invest with it compare to Kotak
Securities because of low broking charges and valuable services , while Karvys reaserch
time considered as one of the best research teams compare to all other broking companies

1. Firstly, I learned how to be professional and disciplined.
2. Secondly, I learned about how the share market works, the price fluctuations and
buying and selling of shares through online mode.
3. The administrative work that is also called operations department work which
involves processing of different types of forms & knowledge about different types of
forms that are needed for different purposes.
4. Thirdly, how to talk to the clients on phone as well as in person and solves the queries
& providing the reports incl. other information regarding their account (trading as
well as demat)
5. Visiting market and for kenopy activities and approaching public to do investment
with karvy stock broking ltd. with valid reasons.
6. Also, how to convince people for giving meeting time when we promote our products
over a phone call.
7. How to initiate and carry on the conversation when you assist your senior to meet the
prospective client and answer to all their questions.
8. Handling the pressure when its sales as well as operations job for completing targets
and showing accuracy in operations.
9. Be patient while in conversation with the clients and prospects when they cross
question.
10. Working in highly competitive environment.
11. Learnt about IPOs, how to invest in IPOs.
12. Learnt about various mutual funds schemes and insurance schemes.
13. I went for various corporate meetings with Karvy stock broking ltd. Area Head and
learnt how to tackle a client when someone is on higher position.

Suggestions
1. Karvy stock broking ltd. is doing well but it can improve by providing well and
appreciable services to past clients or clients who left them.
2. They should also reduce the broking charges for the clients those who have good and
high amount of holdings.
3. They should provide free seminars at corporate level to do more tie ups.
4. They should arrange free camps and classes for their investors for making them aware
of investment and stock market.
5. The company should improve the quality of its services and assistance by relationship
managers which will help them to retain the existing customers.
6. Company should reduce the paper work in opening of a D-mate account. (currently it
consist of 28 signatures of client)
7. Presently company is taking 1 week of time in opening of a D-mate it should be
reduce.
8. Company has quite low goodwill compare to kotak securities, for this company
should do some advertising.
9. Karvy stock broking ltd. should open their more branches in rajasthan with more
employees.
