SECTION 10

START-UP AND COMMISSIONING SPARES

Start-up and commissioning spares include a complete set of spare parts that, in
accordance with Sellers experience, are needed during the start-up and
commissioning period.
If during this stage it would be necessary to utilize some spare parts foreseen in the
operational spare list, those parts will be replaced by the Seller free of charge to the
Buyer.
The set of spare parts remains Sellers property and shall be sent in time and on a
temporary basis to Buyers site, the remaining ones shall be brought back as soon
as commissioning has been successfully completed.
However the Buyer will have the possibility to buy the remaining spare parts;
payment method and amount will be agreed at a later stage during contract
implementation.

OPERATIONAL AND CAPITAL SPARES

Operational spares include wear and tear spares operating spares e.g. wheels,
brake pads, belts and pulleys, couplings, hoses, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders,
nozzles, filter elements, solenoids, valves, seals, gaskets, bearings, proximity
switches, photocells, pressure switches, electrical and electronic components.
After finalization of the plant and during the project execution, the Seller will provide
the Buyer with a detailed list of the recommended spare parts with description, part
numbers and price list. They shall be adequately identified, cross-indexed with
supporting drawings or sketches in the manuals and shall indicate original
equipment manufacturers, original supply sources and part numbers of the original
manufacturer whenever possible, number of installed parts and itemized prices.
Capital spares include critical spare parts which should be held in stock at all times
because in the event of an unexpected breakage or failure of such items, the time to
repair or to replace it would incur in serious loss of production. The capital spares
have typically a very long delivery time and are not readily available from suppliers.
This category shall include spindles, motors, large size bearings, pinion and wheels
of gearboxes and pinion stands, hydraulic cylinders, electric motors, transformers,
etc.
Operational Spares and Capital Spares are not included in the base offer.
