From: Bryan E Stratton Re: Reflection At the beginning of the semester, I wasnt sure what to expect. One of the most important things I learned over the course was understanding the circumstances in technical writing that effect readers. What was most helpful was, C.R.A.P. I used this many times during the semester in various papers. It proved to be quite useful as a strategy to strengthen my Memos. Using the all the various steps in C.R.A.P. helped me edit my papers and make sure they were in the correct format. The next thing I thought that was important that I learned was headers. I had never really looked at headers before. Using these strategies I was able to understand and fix problems that could have become detrimental for my memos. I used a contrast in nearly every paper I wrote over this semester and I truly believe that by using this strategy I was able to my main point truly stand out. I also learned about making different types of technical documents that helped me be able to effectively edit other types of technical documents. Working in groups to learn how to better collaborate and work with others to better learn how to revise and edit and add them into our own writing process. Overall I liked this course. It was very informative. From now on when I write a memo and/or a Technical formatted paper I can use a repetition and make my memo stronger. I can use alignment to format my document. It was very nice to have this information and it will become useful in the future.
