About the Conference

First International Conference on Data Science Analytics and Applications (DaSAA 2016) will be held in the Department of
CSE, College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai-25, between 7th and 9th December 2016, with pre-conference
tutorial to be held on 6th December, 2016.
About Anna University
Anna University was established in 1978 as a unitary type of University. It offers higher education in Engineering, Technology
and allied Sciences relevant to the current and projected needs of the society. Besides promoting research and disseminating
knowledge gained there from, it fosters cooperation between the academic and industrial communities.
About DCSE
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering imparts world class training and research. The Department provides
state of the art computing facilities to the students. It also promotes active industry-institute collaboration by identifying
areas of interest and taking part in sponsored research projects and consultancy services. Some of the major research areas
in which the faculty members and students are working on, are Networks, Database, Theoretical Computer Science,
Multimedia, Image Processing, Software Engineering, Data Mining, Big Data Analytics and Cloud Computing.
Conference Theme
DaSAA 2016 solicits papers in the area of Data Science, Analytics, and Applications. The maximum allowable length of the
paper is 10 pages (including figures and references) for research articles. Technical paper submissions are invited under the

Pre-Conference Tutorial
DaSAA 2016 invites proposals for tutorials on the emerging research areas in the field of Data Science Analytics and
Applications and allied areas. Tutorials on interdisciplinary directions, novel and fast growing fields, and significant
applications are highly encouraged.

Proceedings publication
Accepted and registered papers will be published in conference proceedings. Waiting for Springer approval to publish the
conference proceedings. Selected papers after extension will be considered for publication in one of the following journals.
