direct UI Editing
The following CRM scenario is performed on the CRM 2007 UI using a copy of a standard
Business role and a special role configuration key, so that each UIUSER can make UI
changes in his own Business role, without influencing any other User.
From CRM 2007 SP02 the configuration can be launched directly from the UI with these Users
The Users are
UIUSER01 with password: uiuser01
UIUSER02 with password: uiuser02

Preparation
Web UI
.1 Log on to the CRM System: via SAP GUI
e.g. UIUSER01 with password: uiuser01
.2 Launch the CRM UI with the User ID: UIUSERXX
e.g. UIUSER01 with password: uiuser01

.3 In the navigation bar, click on the entry Sales Cycle. In the work center page Sales Cycle
click on the entry Opportunity in the Create section.

.5 Enter a description for the Opportunity. Description is the main field used for navigation,
without description navigation is not possible. This field is mandatory!
.6 Enter 3272 as prospect or launch the value help to select a prospect.
.7 Enter additional information in the mandatory fields. The mandatory fields provide a red
asterisks in the field label.
Enter an Expected Sales Volume.
.8 To confirm your entries, press Back. This leads you to the overview page of the newly
created opportunity. Then click on the Save button on top if the overview page.
Make a Note of your Opportunity Number, as you need this number later.

.9 In the navigation bar, click on the entry Sales Cycle. In the work center page Sales Cycle
click on the entry Opportunities in the Search section.
.10 Select as Search Criteria Opportunity ID and search for your Opportunity.

.11 Enter in field Save Search As a name and click the Save Button.
.12 The search can be execute via the Saved Searches on the upper right side of the screen.

The first time you make changes, you need to Create a Transport entry, the next
changes have to be put on the same transport.
Do not worry about the error message
[You don't have change authorization for this configuration]
when launching the configuration.
This only indicates that the Default (Standard Role Configuration Key) is not allowed to
be changed
.1 Click on your saved search for the Opportunity you created in the preparation.
.2 In the Search Result list navigate via the Hyperlink to the Opportunity Overview Page.
.3 Explain the UI concept in general (Overview Pages, Details Pages, Edit Pages and
Assignment Blocks).
.4 Mention especially the areas you are going to change later on.
