: Writing problem among pupils.

1. Problem
This week, I am having problem dealing with writing task in the classroom. Some of
the pupils are struggling to do writing task as they did not have enough vocabulary to
construct sentences. Even though I have given them some of the words to help them in
writing task, they still have problem in doing the task. They also have poor handwriting that
sometimes took me longer time to correct them. I think mechanical problem is one of the
issues in the classroom for Year 2. I can see this problem has occurred during my previous
practicum also.
I can also see that this problem occurred when it comes to individual work. When
they do the writing task in group work, I can see that the dominant pupils take part in the
task.
2. Analysis
This problem exists because the pupils did not know how to write correctly. They also
did not have enough vocabulary to do the writing task. I should guide them from the
beginning of the activity. I believe they also have lack of motivation in doing writing task.

3. Suggestions for Improvement

There are several ways that could be done to overcome the problem mentioned earlier:

I should give those games or activity that is attractive for them to learn.

I need to consult my lecturer, teacher and friends to solve the problem.

I need to motivate my pupils to learn.

4. Duration

I will always try my best in motivate my pupils to learn English language. I also need to give
them pupils centred activity in order to develop their writing skills. I believe this problem
could be overcome if I continue reinforce proper learning in the classroom.
