2. A firm manufacturers two products A and b on which the profit per unit is Rs. 30 and Rs.
40 respectively. Each product is processed on two machines M and M , which are available for

use for at most 450 minutes and 600 minutes during ay working day, respectively. The product
A requires 1 minute processing time on M and 2 minute processing time on M , per unit. The

unit. It is required to find the number of units of products A and B to be produced per day so as
to get maximum profit. Formulate this problem as L.P.P. and show feasible region graphically
and hence state the vertices of the feasible region.

2. The owner of a small machine shop has ‘four’ machinists available to assign jobs
for the day. ‘Five’ jobs are offered to be done on the day. They expected profits for each job

will result in maximum profit. Also find the maximum profit. [One machinist can be
assigned only ‘one’ job]
