As a Project Planning and Controls Specialist you will be responsible for provid

ing project specific planning and scheduling services that are guaranteed to sup
ply the Project Manager and Lead Engineer with timely, accurate, insightful, and
worthwhile information, in a readily intuitive manner.
He / she is responsible for planning and scheduling of activities to be performe
d during the course of the project execution, from the tender phase until the pr
oject completion.
Design, organize, implement and maintain project execution plan / project schedul
e considering the specific customer demands and the practicability
Assist to set up tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of projec
t contract requirements as scheduled
Log project time-lines and maintain database / check lists of tasks and its statu
s
Support the preparation of project specific monthly progress reports
Interact with project team and task managers to define / verify scope of work to
develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of va
riances from original plan
Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing proble
m areas.
Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule
and recommend work-around.
Support project management team to maintain timely and effective change managemen
t processes, procedures and systems.
Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep manag
ement informed on project progress.

Ensure that safe practices are adopted for all tasks in the work schedule.
Also ensure safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times incl
uding the wearing and maintenance of assigned Personal Protective Equipment; att
endance at required health, safety and environment training; report injury, inci
dents, hazards and near miss events by self.
Model safe work behaviors in all aspects of work and actively identify hazards a
nd risk controls.
Quality:
Ensure quality is an inbuilt part of every actions in the project activities.
Ensure quality systems and practices are developed and strictly followed in proj
ect planning & scheduling. Quality systems in line with the ABB quality policy t
o implemented throughout the project.
Documentation:
Ensure complete documentation with respect to project planning, create and circu
late reports, maintain all records, communicate all important events as per sche
dule.
Prepare flow chart, layout, production time schedule, technical description, fun
ction description, value calculations, cost calculations and quotations
