Councilor Eliot:

1. Bannering reforms through intellectual

innovations
2. Getting to know the man, his hats and his visions
He is a neophyte legislator but he brings with him a bucket full of
experiences, credentials and a sworn pledge to carry out his mandates
guided by his political battlecry SA DIYOS, SA TAO SERBISYONG TOTOO.
Fondly called as Nono, Sangguniang Panlungsod Member Ronald Sibayan
Eliot was born and raised in Tagum City. He is the eldest of the seven siblings
of Incumbent Board Member (District 1) of Davao del Norte Vicente Eliot and
Mrs. Jesusa Sibayan Eliot.
A graduate of Civil Engineering and a Register Master Plumber, the young
Eliot worked as Building Inspector in the City Government of Tagum from
2000-2001. He was employed as Legislative Staff in the same LGU in 20132015.
Prior to his entry in the legislative world, Councilor Eliot already has had a
fair glimpse about government service having been elected as No. 01
Barangay Kagawad of Visayan Village in 2002-2007. Thereafter, he served as
Acting Punong Barangay from August 01 to October 29, 2007. Then fate took
a meaningful twist when he rose into power as Punong Barangay of Visayan
Village from 2007-2013.
Apart from his long list of work histories, Councilor also has an
unprecedented reservoir of accolades that he earned both in the field of
government service, socio-civic efforts and religious affiliations. Among his
monumental achievement is his being a recipient of the BEST IN
ENTRREPRENEURIAL SKILLS SPECIAL AWARD (National Level) in 2008.
In the same year he was also a Regional Winner (Region XI) for the
WORKING YOUTH CLUB. Moreover, he was a HALL OF FAMER SANDUGO
AWARDEE (Local Government Executive Award) in 2013. He became a
REGIONAL AWARDEE as 4TH GALLONER in Blood Donation activity in 2013.
His momentum in government service is gaining speed and he wants to
banner his government program entitled TRAIN 2 GAIN which is also
represented by his surname ELIOT (Education Employment Promotion,
Livelihood, Infrastructure Projects, Outreach Programs and Teamwork).
At young age, City Councilor Eliot is bent on giving flesh and soul to his
platforms of government and he vows to make his 3-year stint as legislator a
meaningful and fruitful humanitarian service.
