Getting to know the man, his hats and his visions He is a neophyte legislator but he brings with him a bucket full of experiences, credentials and a sworn pledge to carry out his mandates guided by his political battlecry SA DIYOS, SA TAO SERBISYONG TOTOO. Fondly called as Nono, Sangguniang Panlungsod Member Ronald Sibayan Eliot was born and raised in Tagum City. He is the eldest of the seven siblings of Incumbent Board Member (District 1) of Davao del Norte Vicente Eliot and Mrs. Jesusa Sibayan Eliot. A graduate of Civil Engineering and a Register Master Plumber, the young Eliot worked as Building Inspector in the City Government of Tagum from 2000-2001. He was employed as Legislative Staff in the same LGU in 20132015. Prior to his entry in the legislative world, Councilor Eliot already has had a fair glimpse about government service having been elected as No. 01 Barangay Kagawad of Visayan Village in 2002-2007. Thereafter, he served as Acting Punong Barangay from August 01 to October 29, 2007. Then fate took a meaningful twist when he rose into power as Punong Barangay of Visayan Village from 2007-2013. Apart from his long list of work histories, Councilor also has an unprecedented reservoir of accolades that he earned both in the field of government service, socio-civic efforts and religious affiliations. Among his monumental achievement is his being a recipient of the BEST IN ENTRREPRENEURIAL SKILLS SPECIAL AWARD (National Level) in 2008. In the same year he was also a Regional Winner (Region XI) for the WORKING YOUTH CLUB. Moreover, he was a HALL OF FAMER SANDUGO AWARDEE (Local Government Executive Award) in 2013. He became a REGIONAL AWARDEE as 4TH GALLONER in Blood Donation activity in 2013. His momentum in government service is gaining speed and he wants to banner his government program entitled TRAIN 2 GAIN which is also represented by his surname ELIOT (Education Employment Promotion, Livelihood, Infrastructure Projects, Outreach Programs and Teamwork). At young age, City Councilor Eliot is bent on giving flesh and soul to his platforms of government and he vows to make his 3-year stint as legislator a meaningful and fruitful humanitarian service.
