Description

1. Design activities:
Work within electrical discipline team assisting with design and technical advice on projects
lead by others;
Assist in the completion of detailed designs;
Contribute to feasibility reports under the supervision of others;
Consider the feasibility of the project specific to the discipline and contribute to the overall
feasibility study for the project;
Assist in the development of specifications;
Assist in the production of detailed equipment schedules for issue with the discipline
specific design;
Understand the need for detailed calculations and through training and mentorship, become
proficient in both long hand and software methods of calculation related to their discipline;
Promote sustainability and energy efficiency within your designs and discuss the appropriate
systems to implement with the senior team members;
Accompany and assist others carrying out condition surveys for the discipline for combining
into to an overall report;
Accompany others visiting sites as required to gain an understanding of the quality of the
installation process allied to the discipline;
Be able to demonstrate acceptable technical writing skills;
Work in co-ordination with all other design team members whether internal of external;
Attend design team meetings as an observer;
Have good report writing skills;
Understand the limits of our duties under any commission;
Develop an understanding of project risk allied to the discipline and flag these to the WSP
project leader;
Implement the WSP QA procedures under the direction on the WSP project manager and
fully understanding our WoW process at a project delivery level;
Check your own work for compliance with good practice and the project brief;
Present your work to the WSP project leader for approval prior to issue;
Develop an understanding of project costs and the impact of designs on the overall budget
for the scheme;
Participate in value engineering sessions;
Assist others with defects inspections and snagging;
Assist others in the witnessing of commissioning for the project;
Participate in technical design reviews;
Assist in the preparation of room data sheets;
Develop an understanding of maintenance and installation practices within the design.
Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company
policies;
Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to the Line Manager;
Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline;
Feedback on all business development opportunities;

 Demonstrate awareness of project risk issues, flagging potential problems to project leader.
Demonstrate awareness of companys corporate values.
Demonstrate sound work ethics in respect of the companys ABC (Anti-Bribery and
Corruption) principles.
Report to the Line Manager any issues that may affect the effective delivery of projects on
agreed deadlines, the quality of the projects or any other points likely to affect the companys
image.
Perform basic levels calculations within rooms using Dialux software;
Prepare services drawings for electrical infrastructure, lighting, small power, fire alarm
systems, security and IT containment etc. in 2D or 3D as required;
Prepare electrical panels schematics;
Prepare bill of quantities;
2. Supervision activities
Assist at inspection and monitoring of the progress of the electrical works as the designers
representative, aiming to ensure the works are carried out at an appropriate quality, and are in
accordance with the Designers specifications;
Undertake site inspections and prepare Technical Due Diligence reports;
Assist in compiling final documents for handover;
Prepare progress and technical reports as required;
Assist at testing & commissioning process and provide reports as required;
Respond to contractor queries and attend site progress meetings.
- Design of electrical cabinets for plastic injection and blowing machines starting from the
specification machine model and productivity;
- Improvement of the performance, efficiency and reliability of existing products
- Deliver electrical diagrams to be used in production
- Support for production area
- Meeting deadlines established for each project- Research and development of ideas of new
solutions and innovations to improve performance and be cost effective- Cost reduction
analysis
identifying customer requirements;
Offer to Client and RFQ to Subcontractors preparations
Participations in designing systems and products;
reading design specifications and technical drawings;
researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and timescales;
working to British (BS), European (EN) and other standards;
liaising with others in the Electrical Group team;
communicating with clients and contractors;
attending meetings on site;
designing and conducting tests;
recording, analysing and interpreting data;
qualifying the final product or system;
servicing and maintaining equipment;
preparing product documentation, writing reports and giving presentations;

 monitoring a product in use

Projects leading with electrical scope
Elaboration of the complete electrical designs construction drawings, installation
drawings, specification of equipment and installation materials.
Participate as design supervision person in field activities, supervision of design and
installation works progress according to the agreed time schedule. Perform General Electrical
Designer coordination role when necessary.
Support Marketing for definition of PWS Electrical offering including potential alliances
and definition of the Electrical Communication Protocols (IEC 61850, IEC 60870).
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Electric / Electrotechnical/ Electroenergetic Engineering
- Good knowledges of CAD software (Elcad, Unigraphics)
- Good knowledge of English language- Italian language would be a plus
- 1-2 years of experience in similar position would be an advantage

Electro-technician or (grad.) engineer with at least 3-5 years experience in
electrical/pneumatical design
Good knowledge and experience in CAE software Eplan P8 is a must!
English and/or German language skills at medium level mandatory
Readiness to travel

Personal computer & MS-OFFICE skills
