1.0 SCOPE & OBJECTIVES

PROCEDURE / METHOD TO BE EMPLOYED:

8.1Setting-out, Mobilization and Preparation on Site

8.1.1 INSPECTION OF SITE.


An inspection of the site will be carried out prior to erection and determined that sufficient safe and
hard access for the vehicles like trailers, cranes, and other transport vehicles is available and also the
capacity of lifting equipments on site is assessed.
8.1.2 SETTING OUT
3.1. The precast supervisor lays out the project to make sure that embedded items are cast in
correctly ,that the building framework, where precast elements are going to be supported, is cast
within allowable tolerances and provides sufficient marks so that the precast elements may be
installed without a lot of juggling and re-positioning.
3.2. The sequence of erection is re-confirmed with the main contractor since it was ascertained in
order to establish the casting priority for the production of the elements.
8.1.3 MOBILIZATION
4.1. Erection crew will mobilize the erection tools such as theodolite / level, measuring tape, chalk
and line, lifting devices, any purpose made lifting equipments ,push pull props, ladders, water
levels, drills and bolts and other suitable equipments for grouting and finishing.
4.2. Mobilizations also includes erection accessories like crowbar, hammers, wooden wedges,
plumbline, safety harness and other safety gears.
8.1.4

PREPARATION ON SITE

4.3. Before starting erection, complete survey of the area to receive precast elements shall be done
prior to monitor any differences in the dimensions or levels exceeding the tolerances.
4.4. In case of unacceptable tolerances, main contractor shall be notified to take necessary action of
rectifications.
4.5. Before the start of erection; reference points, position and levels upon which the erection of
precast elements to take place is checked.
4.6. Appropriate levels and reference lines are established.
4.7. Shims as required to obtain necessary levels for elements are placed.

8.2 Delivery and Storage of Precast Panels


8.2.1 DELIVERY AND HANDLING OF ELEMENTS.
4.8. Based upon the sequence of erection, loading list is prepared so that the elements are shipped as
they are required for installation on site.
4.9. The load list shall indicate the location of individual piece marks on the truck, so that time is not
lost on the site in double handling elements.

4.28.
Exposed sealant shall be smooth, free from ridges, air pockets and to the satisfaction of
the approving authority.
4.29.
A safe suitable access should be provided by main contractor to carry out sealant work.
9.0 TRAINING
All personnel will be trained, prior to start of works related HSE / Quality Control / Method
statement.
10.0 WORKING HOURS
Normal working hours for site as 07:00 hrs 17:00 hrs. However, work can be extended as per
site requirement.
11.0 HOUSE KEEPING

Safety Engineer shall ensure to maintain safety for all aspects.


Safety assistant are allocated all the site locations to maintain house keeping.

15.0 HEALTH AND SAFETY PROVISIONS:

All possible safe practices shall be adopted during earth works to avoid any accidents as per
The attached Risk Assesment plan.
All the possible access to the earth works area will be barricaded and necessary warning
signs shall also be displayed.
