ELIGIBILITY
The eligibility is as per CLAT Notification. For details visit
www.clat.ac.in
To be eligible for the seats under Resident Students of Andhra
Pradesh, a candidate should be a Resident Student of A.P. and
should have passed the qualifying examination from any
educational institution in Andhra Pradesh and should secure
appropriate rank in order of merit in the Common Law Admission
Test-2014.
Statute-V provides that Resident Student of Andhra Pradesh
means:
i a student who or any one of his parents has resided
in the State of Andhra Pradesh for a period of at
least four years; or
ii a student who has studied in any one of the
educational institutions in the State of Andhra
Pradesh for a period of not less than four years
leading to the qualifying examination.

If a Resident Student of Andhra Pradesh qualifies for admission


and is offered a seat in the regular merit of all India CLAT-2014 at
NALSAR, he / she shall be considered against the All India Seat
only and not against A.P. Quota Seat. If no candidate is available
against the Seats reserved for Resident Students of Andhra
Pradesh, such Seats shall be added to the relevant Categories
under All India Quota.
The unfilled Seats reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates are
assigned to Scheduled Tribe candidates and vice-versa. If
sufficient eligible SC and ST candidates are not available to fill
such Seats, they are reallocated to General Category candidates
in order of CLAT merit. The vacant Seats of Persons with Disability
Category shall be offered to the All India General Category
Candidates only in order of CLAT-2014 merit.
DIRECT ADMISSION
Ten seats are allocated to Foreign Nationals out of which five
seats for candidates from SAARC Countries and five for
candidates from non-SAARC Countries. The candidates who
possess citizenship of a country other than India shall only be
considered under this Category. Foreign Nationals, need not
take CLAT and should apply directly to NALSAR.
The vacant seats of SAARC Countries shall be offered to
candidates from non-SAARC Countries and vice-versa. If sufficient
candidates are not available for Foreign National Category, such
vacant seats shall be offered to the All India General Category
Candidates of CLAT in order of merit.

There are no allocated seats under each specialization. A student
will be awarded the LL.M. Degree in a particular specialization if
he or she has pursued at least four papers in that
particular specialization. A student who has opted for papers
across specializations or from the General stream or has chosen
papers from the specializations and the General stream shall be
awarded a LL.M. (General) degree.
Note:
The papers under each specialization will be made available in
accordance with the exigencies of semester schedules and
subject to the university rules on the minimum number of
enrolments required for a paper.
