hints & tips to write essays quickly

As explained in my earlier post of How to get IELTS Band 8 Tips and tricks to prepare for IELTS
band 8, there are two types of essays that one might encounter in the IELTS Task 2 writing section.

Argument essay
Discussion essay

An argument essay is one where in you agree with one of the things mentioned and explain why you
chose one over the other with two valid reasons, substantiated through examples.
A discussion essay on the other hand is where you discuss both sides of the viewpoint and then
come to a conclusion as which is better of the two.
Each of these essays are normally divided into four paragraphs of minimum four lines each, in order
to achieve the word count of 250 words.

particular section was IELTS-Ryan Higgins Youtube channel. Eventually, I developed my own hints
for tackling these kind of essays which are nothing but sentence openers for each line in the
essay. Now, I felt more confident in just adding my reasons and examples after each of these
sentence openers. Lets concentrate on argumentative essays in this post.

If you memorize these sentence openers then you can tackle any question in IELTS Task 2 writing
with ease. Now lets see three slightly different answers for the same question which can be found in
IELTS Task 2 writing section. I have incorporated the following hints to form a full structured essay.
I have taken an example from one of Ryans videos where he explains how to structure an
argumentative essay.
The IELTS Task 2 writing question goes like this..
The presence of technology in classroom has become more and more apparent and offers students
tremendous resources with which to supplement their education.
Given time, technology will completely replace the traditional teacher in the classroom. Do you agree
or disagree with this statement?
Model IELTS Task 2 writing essay 1:
Technology is widely used throughout the world. This is quite apparent in classrooms today.
It is strongly disagreed that technology can completely substitute teachers in classrooms.
This can be proven for reasons relating to the ability of human teachers to cater to the needs of
students as well as motivate and discipline them.
Firstly,an important aspect of education is the capability of teacher to shape their teaching style to
suit the needs of their students. As an illustration, when students find it difficult to comprehend a
particular topic, the teacher can rephrase and deliver it effectively.Unfortunately,a robotic teacher is
unable to accomplish this as it lacks the power of judging students understanding.Hence,it is
obvious why human teachers are always preferred to computerized teachers when educating
children.
Secondly, motivation and discipline are key aspects required for a student to achieve academic
success.Take for instance, while teaching kindergarten students,a great deal of disciplining and
motivation is warranted as they tend to be playful. However,a robotic teacher is not suited for this as
it cannot detect students inappropriate , unruly behavior. Thus,it is highly imperative for the presence
of a human teacher at all times in a classroom.
In summary,a robotic teacher is handicapped by the inability to teach students the way they want
and motivate them to garner success. Therefore, it is seen clearly why the idea of running a
classroom only with technology is not supported by many. Moreover, after analyzing it is seen that the
negative aspects of computerized teaching will always overpower the positive side .As a result of
this,it can be stated that technology can never take the place of human
teachers.Nevertheless, technology always supplements a teacher and aid in tutoring the pupils.

Technology is widely used throughout the world.Despite the fact that its presence is quite apparent

classroom. This can be proven for reasons relating to the ability of a teacher to cater to the needs of
their students as well as motivate and discipline them.
To begin with, an important aspect of education is the capability of teacher to modify their teaching
style to suit their students. For instance,if students find it difficult to comprehend a particular subject,
teacher can rephrase and deliver it effectively.Unfortunately,a robotic teacher is unable to
accomplish this as it lacks the power of judging the students understanding.Hence,it is clear why

In addition to the instructors teaching ability, motivation and discipline are key aspects for a student
to achieve academic success.Take for example, while teaching kindergarten students, great deal of
these above mentioned factors are required as they tend to be rather playful. However, a robotic

In summary,a robotic teacher is handicapped by its inability to teach students the way they want and
also inspire them to garner success. Therefore,it is evident why the idea of having run a classroom
only with technology is not supported by many. Moreover, the negative aspects of computerized
teaching overpower the beneficial ramifications and it can be stated that technology can never take
the place of teachers in classroom.Nevertheless, technology always acts a supplement to aid
tutoring pupils.

Model IELTS Task 2 writing essay 3:
Technology is widely used throughout the world.Despite the fact that it is more apparent in
classrooms today it is strongly refuted that technology can completely substitute teachers in a
classroom.
This can be further elaborated in view of the ability of a teacher to cater to the needs of the students
as well as motivate and discipline them.
To begin with, an important aspect of education is the capability of the teacher to modify the
teaching style to suit their children. For instance, when students find it difficult to comprehend a
topic, the teacher can rephrase and deliver it effectively.Unfortunately,a robotic teacher cannot
accomplish this as it lacks the power of judging a students understanding.
Hence,it is quite evident why teachers are preferred to robotic instructors.
In addition to the instructors teaching style, motivation and discipline are key aspects needed for a
student to achieve academic success.Take for instance, while teaching kindergarten students,
different methods of motivation are warranted as they tend to be playful. However,a robotic teacher is
unsuitable for this job as it cannot detect a students inappropriate behavior. Thus,it is highly
imperative that a teacher be present in the class at all times.
In summary, a robotic teacher is handicapped by its inability to teach students the way they want
and also inspire them to be successful. Therefore,it can be seen why the theory of having a run a
class with only technology is not feasible. Moreover, the examples prove without a shadow of doubt
that technology can never take the place of teachers in a class.Nevertheless, technology is always
expected to supplement classroom education by acting as an useful aid while tutoring pupils.
