Nausea and vomiting (emesis gravidarum) is a natural phenomenon and often
caught in pregnancy terimester I. Nausea and vomiting occur in 60-80% primigravida, nausea usually happen in the morning and 40-60% of multigravid 1 in 1000 pregnancies, these symptoms become more severe. In Indonesia, a gynecologist from Bunda Hospital Jakarta make sure about 50-70% of pregnant women experience nausea vomiting. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between knowledge of emesis gravidarum with emesis gravidarum tackle action in the Puskesmas Sekupang Batam Year 2013. Research using correlation methods, sampling of this study using random sampling as many as 83 respondents were conducted in June and July 2013. Then the data was analyzed using SPSS chisquer and use. Results reveal that the majority of mothers have a good knowledge of the 44 respondents (53%) and the majority of the action is lacking as many as 53 respondents (64%). And the test statistic is obtained, the value of n = 83, and the value = .253. HO accepted for P value = .253> 0.05. Statistical tests were conducted, concluded that there was no relationship between knowledge of emesis gravidarum with emesis gravidarum tackle action. P value = .253> 0.05. It means that there is no relationship between knowledge of emesis gravidarum with emesis gravidarum tackle action in the clinic working Sekupang Batam Year 2013.
