THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION

IN THE MANAGEMENT OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

The enhancement in the quality of education in Indonesia becomes one of the policies to
reach national development that organized with planned, regular, directional, and sustainable.
Every effort to it has to do like: the improvement of curriculum, the improvement of teacher
professionalism, mean and infrastructure availability that adequate to fulfill the requirement
of technical education, include the development of administration and the management of
education organizer in thorough.
In this case the function of administration and education management is a tool for
integrated all of part resource to reach the goal of education in the certain context. It means
that the fields managed have the specificities of the different management in the other field
like: human resources, learning resources, and facilities resources and all of the cost which
are closely related with the achievement of educational goals activities.
Relating to educational institutions like junior high school (SMP) which is the
institutional framework, educational administration plays a role in the school organization
management to achieve the educational goal of the school. Educational administration here
can be reviewed in three levels: institution level, managerial level, and technical level. In
every levels the organize of the educational administration will take a place effectively if the
school has strategic plan with clear direction and clear goal by every shool personels; school
implement the school based management that showed by autonomy, partnership,
participation, teamwork, responsibility, openness, flexibility, accountability, and continuity;
school leader supervise by planned and periodically accordance with applicable regulation;
and headmaster apply leadership that was open and delegating task well.
