Hire On-Boarding process: pre-hire candidate screening, offer letter phase, employee activation, new hire orientation and new hire work initiation. Define the detailed process and blueprint it in Blueworks Live On-Boarding Key Facts: Candidates are qualified through the interview process and approved for on-boarding negotiate the compensation package and start date with the Hiring Manager. Hiring Manager passes on the information to the HR Manager. The HR Manager initiates the candidate-screening phase required in the on-boarding process. A HR Specialist is assigned to the task by the HR Manager. HR Specialists are required to notify recruiters of the candidate responsibilities during this phase of the process. This involves a drug test screening. HR Specialists are also required to conduct background checks that include resume validation and criminal background investigation. There are occasions when questions come up during the screening phase that need clarification by the candidate. HR Managers are responsible to review all screening data, candidate responses to questionable data and decide whether to proceed or not based on all the information. If candidates pass the screening phase, HR Managers draft the offer letter and send it to the Hiring Manager for review. HR Managers make adjustments and/or rejections of changes requested by the Hiring Manager and prepare the final draft of the offer letter for new hire candidates The HR Specialist is responsible to finalize the offer letter phase with the candidate once the final draft is approved. Any clarification needed by the new hire candidate is the responsibility of the HR Specialist to facilitate. Acceptance by the new hire candidate initiates the Employee Activation phase of the process. HR Specialist is required to convert the candidate status from Candidate to Employee. Candidates are required to fill out several initial forms prior to start date for the HR Department records. The start date signed off in the offer letter is the day a new hire is responsible to report into the New Hire Orientation classes at the company. This is a two day class conducted by the HR Department. All company policy and benefit information is covered in this two day class. All policy and benefit forms are completed by the new hire during this timeframe. Upon completion of the two day HR orientation, new hires are given their company badges and informed of their reporting hierarchy. New hires begin work by reporting in to their respective Workgroup Managers on the third day. Managers are responsible to on-ramp new hires on this day, including providing work assignments.
