Health recovery process during puerperium is very important for mothers after childbirth. One way to speed up the process of uterine involution by doing childbed gymnastics to stimulate the uterine muscles to function optimally, so it is expected to not occur postpartum bleeding. The most common cause of postpartum hemorrhage 50% - 60% due to the weakness or absence of uterine contractions. The majority of maternal morbidity and mortality caused by the failure of the myometrium to contract completely, this was seen at the RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang with bleeding events from year to year decline was visible from 2011 as much (2.79%), in 2012 (2.52%), and in 2013 (2.86%). This research aims to determine the effect of childbed gymnastic on decline high of fundus uterine in postpartum mother. The research was conducted in RSUP Dr. M Djamil Padang, the type of experimental research using Post Test only control group design, with a population of postpartum maternal spontaneous. The samples were spontaneous postpartum mothers who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample consists of group that perform childbed gymnastics for 6 days and group who do not implement the childbed gymnastics and then measurements of fundus height were taken at day 1, day 3 and day 6. The results of the research using the test of General Linear Model (GLM) there is a significant influence on the function of the uterine fundus between the intervention group and the control group (P = 0.05).
